this one was really disappointing, he is like first edition bumblebee's derpy cousin :(

the automorph for the chest is actually fun and clever, but the end result is a major downgrade. he's really easy to transform though but nothing clips together tightly enough to really be kid friendly to make up for that.

comparitively the first edition is overly complicated and fiddly but at least it looks amazing!

Honestly... if I didn't know any better I'd say TFP RiD Bumblebee was a KO of FE Bumblebee. :(

Have you tried flipping the hood slightly before opening the shoulders? Helps the head sit a little better. I wish the shoulders were ball jointed so he doesn't look like he's slouching.

Whats with the angry eyes Bumblebee?

man you'd think they would try and improve on the design. That looks bad. Thanks for the comparison pic there. I'll stick with my FE version methinks

Do the doors slip up like wings a bit more or is that all you can get?

I guess Hot Shot is doomed for failure as well in this case...:o

Comparison pics of FE version (big one) and RID version (small one).

(used the NYCC deco FE Bbee on the right)

The original promo pictures suggested a minor modified FE Bbee, but transforming it and seeing the photo above of the underside of the car mode, shows that it was a completely new mould. (the size difference was also a giveaway, but the middle photo is the obvious one)

After the frustrating mess of the FE figure (converting to either mode), this second version was a delightful surprise.

And they eyes don't really have an "evil" squint - they are actually round, but if you look from a bit of an angle from above, they look squinty from the curve of the skull.

After getting my hands on a FE BB I think the PRID version is better. Yes there is the aesthetic issue of the grille and hood sitting up behind his head and the slim forearms but as mass distribution figure for all ages I think the PRID is a better figure.
