I like this and you can see the similarities what became Animated Soundwave. I like that the boot becomes the chest and opens like a tape deck.

My beef w/ it is that it's not in a cassette/music contrapation mode. I think it works fine as a TFA figure but not for a Classics representation of SW.

I Understand the love for Boombox Soundwave, but I have no objections to his upgrading to a vehicle with a massive sound system, or some kind of spy jet/plane

I always thought the whole idea of classics was to 'upgrade' classic G1 characters and 'bring them in to the 21st Century'. That's why Megatron was a gun... right?!

That's also why Music Label Soundwave is the perfect "classics" version IMO!

I like. Not certain if it's the best match for the character - but I do like it. Much better than Nerfotron, mind you. That one sucks no matter what colour you paint it.
