Mine came today too from the same source. Sits nicely on the shelf next to the AHM hardcover (but unfortunately AHM is about four times thicker). The new extras are pretty good.

Too sick with the flu to get the camera but I picked up Prime Jackie tonight.

I thought all the Hasbro Deluxes looked great in their packaging, even Voyager Prime didn't look as bad as I thought he would. Voyager Megatron though? Yeesh, that thing is horrid! Looks like a sandpapered knockoff. :p

Jackie himself is fantastic. I had to get the Hasbro release as the two swords are must-haves for show accuracy! I love how the side-view mirrors end up at the end of his arms in robot mode, great for quickly checking for Decepticon sneak attacks!

The only criticism I have of Deluxe Prime Wheeljack is to do with his legs, they're just so loose at the hips! This is just minor nitpicking though for what is must-have deluxe. A brilliant toy!

Also a dodgy custom i started working on. At the mo he's called Half-Rod.
Had some left over bits. The pin in the back of his(hot-rods) head fit perfectly in the back of muzzle. I used plastic from a Chinese container to make the meter registerererers:D (that bit is particularly iffy but it's all i had on hand)
Thinking I'll grind out the face and make it teeth. add some horns and eyes and see what happens.:D

Bumblebee is Bumblebleh. With only the shoulder transformation differentiating it from the movie engineering.

Cliffjumper ont he other hand is one of the best Legends size figure I've played with. Excellent bot mode with very good articulation, proportion and sculpt. Alt mode is solid and recognizable. Transformation was unexpected for this size class. A little more complex than your average Legends. A winner.

Hey Guys, just thought I would post an update for my trip on Sunday to the local Markets.
Despite the heavy downpour all night and right through to within 10mins of the official opening times for the Sunday Markets, this Sunday was a great turnout and for me [at least] a rather successful scavenger hunt!

First bucket [by bucket, I mean small child's wadding pool] of toys that I came across yielded a couple of small TF's as did the second and the third and the forth . . . then I upset the karma fairy by commenting out loud that today seems to be the day for finding TF's!

Bad move, after that the karma fairy saw fit to deny me the luck of finding anymore for the next hour.
There was only a few slim pickings after that before I had searched every stall and decided to go home.

All in all I only spent $20, not a bad haul really.
And yes, everything here is available for trade [or cash], I am only interested in G1/2 TF's for the moment.
So if you see anything you want just make an offer, I will be adding these to my for sale post later.

I don't particularly like the look of that freaky beast wars thing but I love the idea of collecting parts to complete the toy, they should do more stuff like that! It's one of the reasons I want to support the Takara Prime toys - they're taking a chance and doing something a bit different. Keeps things fresh!

It's via Matty subscription. All 5 lions are being released over the course of the year, along with their pilots (and Sven for subscribers).

I literally just got mine today, haven't had time to open it. Truthfully, I'd completely forgotten I'd subscribed until I got the shipping notice and bothered to check my account.

This is the first one, I don't actually know who's next.

Yes, there is nothing within canon that designates it as a she, but the designation of "it" is so impolite. I'm a gentleman and refer to her as a she.

What should be of greater interest is the increase of power she had from having an unstable Spark. What caused the damage to her Spark? Did it have something to do with the Transmetal process? And could others perfect said process? Could there be a link between Transmutate's power and the additional powers held by Transmetal 2's? Mysteries.... (I'm open for a debate of hypotheticals in the newbie questions thread if anyone is keen)

G1 Gunrunner in amazing condition and Bot Shots Starscream (I had to get him since he's my Bot Shot in the online game.)

Gunrunner is so much fun - I got Roadgrabber (his Decepticon counterpart) as a kid, so it's been a long time between Pretender Vehicles and seeing how they compare. Gunrunner doesn't really have an intermediate mode in the same way as Roadgrabber's 'attack chariot', but he has the option of sitting in the driver's seat or lying inside in true Pretender style. And Starscream is great for rolling at things in the hope that he stands up. They should do a minor remould and release coneheads at some point - this franchise is screaming for Ramjet. :)

Officially Transmutate is an androgynous/genderless character - they only referred to her with the gender-neutral pronoun "it." I personally refer to her with female pronouns, but that's just my personal choice and not a representation of official canon. :)

Thumbs up for Cliffjumper. Undecided so far on Arcee, but I like the transformation of her legs. The weapons feel a bit cheap, Arcee's gun handle is already warping as I try to plug it into her bike mode.

I like Arcees transformation, much like animated prowl. I was a bit meh with her to start with, but she's growing on me. you can adjuste the height of the rear wheel so that she's either resting on her feet and the bike will stand up or you can lower the wheel so the bike is only on the two wheels and needs help standing. I think that's a nice touch though a result of the transformation.

I have 3 of these now and all 3 have bent handles.:(.
I'm starting to think I might design some show accurate weapons to go with these toys..

Opened him up and then compared him to the generations Jack I bought earlier this week, and man is he tiny!

Picked up Prime Soundwave and Wheeljack for $22.00 at Target, Kyle picked up a pile of Legion(small ones not sure if this is the right size) toys for I think somewhere between $5.50-$6.00 each. The Voyagers at Target were $59.00 each where as Toyworld had them for $49.99 each. Left the Voyagers behind as this release doesn't impress me.

Well, 2 anyway :p - Oilslick & Shockwave were more of a case of affordability and availability rather than specificity; but I'm extremely impressed with both figures/characters as they're rather cool indeed and the metallic paint isn't as distracting as it is with other Takara Animated figures, from what I've seen anyway. ;):)

Thanks for the compliments dude, the photos are improving but there is still little things that standout to me that are rather annoying; This stems from my being a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my own creativity, phantom red hued light sources that don't physically exist but are present in the pics for some inexplicable reason are chief among my peeves of that shoot. :rolleyes::p

Yeah I reckon the metallic paint looks pretty stunning on those two. Takara Ratchet is another one that really pops with the shinier paint! They might not be as cartoon accurate as the Hasbro ones but they're very pretty none the less. :)

Nice choices indeed! I like how Blitzwing's tank mode looks like something outta Metal Slug, and like you say he's just a great triple-changer with loads of play value for the small fries. He and Lugnut are quite the team. :D

Indeed, reviews I've seen of Starscream and others have shown that whilst the Takara Metallic paint looks brilliant, it can also break the unification of colours on the figure so yeah; depending on price and whether the figure looks good, I might actually get 1 or 2 more of them. :)


Nice choices indeed! I like how Blitzwing's tank mode looks like something outta Metal Slug, and like you say he's just a great triple-changer with loads of play value for the small fries. He and Lugnut are quite the team. :D

I hope to try and acquire Lugnut, Starscream & Ldr Megs this week; I don't think I'll be getting any of the Autobots as it's the Decepticons that were/are the major thing that appeals to me with Animated, so Sunstorm and Blackout might be in my sights down the line. :cool:


I'll keep the Animated theme going with today's purchase - I think I got quite lucky with this one as I found it in the first game shop I checked, and they only had about 20-30 DS games in total. Aaand here it is folks:

Got these two separate boxed each but same seller. Plan is to make a "minerva" and "shuta" of my own using 'em. Prolly try to put stickies on to match, if I find ones, since there isn't any in reprolabels. Dont need to do much since the colors already mtach just some stickies. Quality wise is not bad but you can easily tell their fake but since the mold and transformation is basically the same as that of their G1 counterparts...oh and the techspec meters dont work (there isnt any)

They will do as placers for now as like you .. until the real ones come along. Im not about to throw a lot of money for the originals, don't want and don't have the moolah for it heheheh:D

You're safe. Knockoff (KO) Powerglides have the peg hole punch in the top center of the card; genuine are slightly to the right so it hangs straight. Nice pickup BTW :)

The 3 white "blank" sheets are actually free faction symbols but are white outlines in clear plastic so can't be seen in the pics.

'Tis an FE Arcee Liege and yes She's massive compared to Cliffjumper and BB, I AM getting the RID Arcee with a case of Ratchet, Soundwave, Wheeljack, Cliffjumper and Bumblebee figures as well, but not sur eif I'm going to keep her or sell her along with BB and CJ (I don't expect to get much for them, but i don't really want them). And as for it being quick they've been at my cousin's since December so i've been itching to get them.

I do plan on troop building the Legion Vehicons, as I reeeally enjoyed troop building with Clone Troopers. :D

Shhhh, don't say it out loud:o:o hehehehe - it's a KO special limited white edition of Frenzy/Rumble:o - Ive been hunting for it for quite sometime til I found out it was a limited edition one and got one in a two pack with an all white Laserbeak -(ebay). They have a special set of stickers on Reprolabels which transforms him into an autobot cassetron medic - Whitenoise. Ive renamed the White Lasebeak to Echo and added him to Blaster's menagerie.

Some are cheap but some can get pretty pricy, it depends on for what figures. e.g. Metroplex and other city type repro stickies are more than $20 coz its quite extensive, while smaller types can cost you like $4. Their postage to anywhere around the globe is $2 though it takes 2 weeks so you gotta be patient. :) Go visit their website man, it's worth it. Also if you wanna preserve your original sticker sheet, get one so at least you can keep the original safe and use the repros instead.

have to agree there with you trunks it was disappointing that megs and starscream cost $18.00 when the vehicons and arcee only cost $7.00, especially when they are not that much bigger than the $7.00 ones. but i only got these due to the fact that i am not spending $59.00 on a voyager and $23.75 on the deluxe ones when they look so cheaply made.:eek:

Don't feel too bad bro, after my rant here (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showpost.php?p=291404&postcount=104) I went out and bought Optimus and Megs. I've now had another epiphany that OTCA is really AA for Transformers collectors. Admitting we have a problem is the first step :)
