Anyone keen on the return of Marvel Legends in 2012?

Whilst the Marvel Universe line got better with each wave, I just didn't like the size especially considering the price.

I'm looking into getting a preorder of these from BBTS but maybe they will come out here considering the Marvel Universe was stocked in Oz. I never had the chance to get the other incarantions of Marvel Legends so nice to start from the beginning.

hmmm are these the same size as the first ones then not those itty bitty expensive little buggers they pass off as action figures lately? If they come up with figures of characters Im after most likely, as of now the only one Im inclined to get is Blade and Constrictor. I wish they'd make at least 6-8 of the Secret Serpent society ( are they even still in business- sorry not a Marvel follower so dunno) - especially Bushmaster - reminds me of Golobulus:D

The detail and sculpts alone are quite good, and the 6 inch scale is great. From pics I've seen and the few I have, they don't seem to match with the previous ToyBiz or Hasbro lines, they have gone for a more comic accurate look, similar to DC's figures they release for certain comic series lines.

I got the Extremis Iron Man as part of a package from BBTS the other day.

Damn, I'm impressed. The figure is just PERFECT.

Only flaw, and it's apparently a common one, is that the black paint used on the bottom of the helmet (mouth-line area) is a tad wonky. Mine is off a little, but it's pretty damn good compared to other people's.

I mean if its $14.50 in retail stores and six figures to build Terrax , that's a total of $87 (if you managed to get into the US or got someone to shipped from you).If its with a postage the lowest form of US mail (2 to 4 weeks max) and lets say its $50-$60 for the whole lot shipping. Then it would cost you around $137-$147 total, its not bad compared to buying it here for a whooping $200 at Kings.

They probably ordered it at Big Bad Toys for which it cost $23 each (I think) and as a bundle complete with shipping with series 1 would cost around $150 something (can't remember).

Toys R Us USA is $20 each and so yeah I think your right with $30.A source from Hasbro told me its coming out at TRU in the first week of April but no prices.

I went to Asia a month ago but did not get a chance to get them and got sold out.It costed $137 for the whole series 1 and its $22 each.

I am hoping for Hobby Co to import it, they are selling Dc universe (6 inch figures) for $14.95 while Kings sells the for $26-$30.

As a bulk for $130 including shipping that's still better than the current wave 1.I still a have few ToyBiz left and a few Hasbro, anyone wants to sell their old Toybiz let me know.Only two more left for my X-men and mostly completed my Avengers just missing Iron-man series 1 and Hawkeye, also some Hasbro.

Extremis Armor is not great no Tony head and you have to buy the Hasbro two-pack to get the head.It does not fit in with the old Toybiz suits or Iron man movies toy 6 inch version.I have seen it and too effing skiny for an ironman and I was hoping to put this as my Avenger display.

TRU will stock these figures confirmed from my Hasbro source on April and the problem is price :mad: Gantz would be right in my opinion will be $30 too.

@Gantz, thanks for the piccies, nicely done.

I like with the unmasked Daken variant how they actually had the mask unfurled as what most unmasked figures tend to be, the cowl magically disappearing.

I now also noticed the neck point articulation, it can look a bit obtrusive, still a great figure and line and especially love the comic style packaging.

I wanted wave 1 more than wave 2 and I think the blue ghost rider is cool.These are $25 each which is not bad but needs 7 figures to make Arnim Zola.Some of my friends got them for $16 as they did not have a price last week.

They belong to Fantomex :D her super big gun was a a little bent, so it was in some hot water to straighten it out, she really should have come with a huge arsenal!

I've checked TRU Hurstville and Moore Park. Seems the common ones for Wave 2 are Drax, Fantomex, Cap Bucky and I saw Daken unmasked.

TRU in Miranda had nothing. Seems TRU is more focused on displaying the Avengers movie toyline for the movie out next month.

Ah, Sorry, I've been away all weekend. That Loki is from the 6 inch Thor movie line that was a Walmart exclusive. If you can find one on ebay with reasonable shipping he's not too expensive.

I'm only really looking for red Deadpool from the next wave. I want the classic Iron Man but not in the bright shiny shade they coloured him and without the big boot and glove extensions. Maybe Blade too, but he's at the bottom of the list.

I believe Red Shulkie is wave 4. She's a must buy. Hopefully the do a She-Hulk on that body too.

Retail though? That's a foreign word to me. You'll find I say "ebay" and "BBTS" more often than not these days. Often in the same breath as "damn shipping"...

They're pretty much my newest ML for a wee while. You gotta get that Heroic Age Iron Man though. Really top notch. Iron Monger looks like it'll be great too.

Annoying though, the shelves were full of Wolverine and some dude with an atom on his chest. I saw some on the storage shelves way up high, naturally no staff around. So's I did the logical thing, one foot on the shelf, and reach up to nab all the crap up top. Of course Acrhy here was all the way at the back wasn't he? :-/ Found a red She-Hulk as well up there. Nice.

Would have grabbed Wolvey, Hulky as well. But jeebus $30 a pop!! that's a little like a ripoff in my books. i remember when these babies were $16... but that was before hasbro got involved.

Naturally they didn't scan at the checkout and the dude couldn't find the tag on the shelf... I found it just fine. It amazes me that people at TRU consistently have no idea about their products at all!

So Target have the first wave of Marvel Legends for $24, $18 during the sale, and both the Comic Series and Movie Series Iron Man 3 Legends for the same prices.

I couldn't help myself and picked up a Thor yesterday afternoon. I've wanted him for a while, man he is huge :)

I got my Archangel from TRU as well last Parramatta fair (last month), and as like Tets they don't register when scanned, lucky for me though the guy they asked to look for the price came back saying it's $17.... I was so happy walking out of the store :D. It was the only Archangel left in the racks too!

Right now though I came across the little versions - Marvel ones, Im so impressed with how poseable these little figures are as well.. I bought Hercules which I must say looks way better in poses than the big version they released years ago. waaay better, kinda sexy actually hehehe :D Plus got Angel - I have Archangel (small version too) way back so I was quite pleased to grab him - the wings are awesome! Also nabbed Psylocke, Professor X and Silver Surfer. As well the two pack Colossus Vs Juggernaut. Though the Hercules little figure still is quite my favourite!

I couldn't resist Thor either. Such a great looking toy. I think he is shortpacked though as I found a shelf of what looked like a couple of boxes, but they only had 2 Thors. I love the way you can hang his hammer from his belt.

I think they have two separate lots running at different stores. I've seen this wave http://marvellegends.net/MarvelLegends/MarvelLegends02/MarvelLegends02.jpg at one store and the first wave with Thor, Iron Man (these guys http://itsallaboutchenming.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/wave-1.jpg) at another, with the Ironman wave at another.

Interesting the Arnim Zola wave has the variants; Big Time Spider-Man, Dark Wolverine w/mask on, etc. Wave 1 (Terrax BAF) was the first run, with blue Ghost Rider, regular Iron Man (as opposed to stealth), solid shield (as opposed to translucent) Captain America.

Don't collect these myself, but end up with a couple because a mate orders a case, and there's usually one or two double ups per case. Grabbed the masked Wolvie and Big Time Spider-Man for him from Target the other day.

I'd like to know if target are going to continually get these guys in, or whether they are just finding stuff for the sales. Have seen some promising figures in later waves, one with a BAF Red hulk, which I could go for and since 18/24 bucks ain't too bad for these dudes (prefer 18 though;) ), it might make me go local.

I heard there's a gold Ultron coming somewhere in the future, so I guess that might be part of the variant wave, but it'd mean Mandarin would have to replace an Iron Man (or possibly the comic Iron Patriot) rather than the current silver Ultron.

Marvel Legends is gone once the newly revealed wave at SDCC is out. From there on out it's themed assortments to tie in with whatever marvel movie is at the box office.

Having said that, I like a lot of the reveals for the final wave and 6 inch marvel figures aren't going off the shelves permanently. Things could be worse.

I'm super OK with the new format for Legends. For me I get a more dedicated choice, at times I only want 1 or 2 from a line, but I can see how others may not really like it.

So will it be like it is for Iron Man 3? Comic Series then Movie Series?

Deadpool I got from Kings Comics in Sydney, Venom and Magneto came from BBTS but all the other Select's from Canberra's 2 comic stores.

Not at TRU. However I believe they were a joint exclusive with Diamond so you might have a chance with comic shops.

Odin wave found at TRU and Target - prices have gone up to 35 per figure but target has 20% off toys at the moment which brings them down to 28 each.

Picked up a Black Widow from my local the other day. I may yet go back for the rest of the series if the fancy takes me, although North Rocky was missing Marvel Now Cap. I picked up Red Skull, Baron Zemo, and an AIM Scientist a while ago so it would only be $30 to finish the series.
