Of course it doesn't matter - it's your display!

The thing I love about teams like the Wreckers and Survivors in G1 was that they were hodge-podge mixes of characters from different sub groups thrown together, much like how we played with our toys as children! :D

Paul, brother, Ultramagnus , debatable :....( .well, yeh you're right. even my internal dialogues are doing it toe-to-toe.

what i like most about this list, is after having read the name "Inferno" at the bottom, i'm motivated to re-re-re-re-re-re-etc-reading Target 2006, 1- because i haven't read it for a couple of years and 2-beceause i didn't remember Inferno being in there and my curiosity is peaked.
cheers Paul

It's okay MindsetOverhaul - Inferno's not in 'Target: 2006'. He's not even a Wrecker 100 issues later (in 'Firebug' he calls Sandstorm and Broadside "you Wreckers" and is disdainful to the group and its callousness towards killing - he's just there because he's working for Emirate Xaaron.) He's also not a Wrecker in Time Wars - he's just still with Broadside and Sandstorm as "Cybertron's advanced surveillance unit". He's still not referred to as a Wrecker in the actual 'Survivors!' story, but he does take orders from Springer. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the only place Inferno is canonically referred to as a Wrecker in the UK comics is in the 'last issue' blurb of #221, one issue before the Wreckers are disbanded and become the Survivors.

I don't recall that line. Can't remember when I last read Firebug. I've always thought of him as a Wrecker due to his presence with the others during that tale and Time Wars. I guess I should move him to the Survivors list then. I don't think he'd look out of place though among the other toys unloved by the US Comic.

And this is a very obscure bit of trivia.

I remember checking it out when I saw that tfwiki listed Inferno as a Wrecker. :) I do think he becomes one - he's happy to follow Springer's orders during Time Wars and afterwards, and that blurb from #221 definitely clinches it. It's just that there's no explicit point in a story at which he goes from Xaaron's voice of reason in the "Cybertonian Autobots' advance surveillance unit" who doesn't count himself as a Wrecker, to being accepted amongst the Wreckers.

was there ever a decepticon equivilent of the wreckers and if so who were they

GoktimusPrime

Mayhem Attack Squad (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Mayhem_Attack_Squad)

G1
Battletrap
Carnivac
Catilla
Chop Shop
Flywheels
Venom
Bludgeon
Needlenose
Octopunch
Snarler
Spinister
Stranglehold

And arguably Windsweeper, Ruckus and Crankcase. They were seen with the Mayhems during the Matrix Quest but were never explicitly identified as being members of the Mayhems -- kinda like Inferno's affiliation with the Wreckers, only that there hasn't been any retcon that places them in the Mayhems AFAIK, which makes their position more dubious (hence why TFwiki probably doesn't list them as Mayhems).

Classics
Ruckus
Needlenose
Octopunch
Stranglehold

--------------------------
P.S. The great thing about the G1 Mayhems is that they were ALL based on available toys! (although the Pretender Beasts were never available in AU :() None of them were invented characters like Impactor or Rack 'n' Ruin. Although Catilla's inclusion started off kinda funny because the toy is an Autobot, but he was originally a Decepticon member of the Mayhems and remained so throughout the Time Wars. But after he joined the Survivors, Catilla did defect and switch allegiance to the Autobots (whereas his good friend Carnivac remained a Decepticon how was simply allied with Autobots (much like how Blackarachnia became a Maximal-allied Predacon in Beast Wars)).

Kind of.

There was the Mayhem attack squad. They were meant to be the Decepticons version of the Wreckers. I think their first appearance was when they were to team up with the Wreckers to take down megs and Galvatron in a UK story (but I'm likely wrong here, it may not have been their first appearance).

The team of Carnivac, Catilla, Chop Shop, Venom, Battletrap and Flywheels was decimated in the battle, and in the end the survivors (Catilla dn Carnivac) merged with the Wreckers, Inferno, broadside and skids to form the survivors.

Because of their turning, the decepticons made a second squad with Needlenose, Bludgeon, Stranglehold, Spinster and Octopunch, who had to hunt the former members down.

It was the Mayhem Attack Squad pretenders fighting Grimlock, Jazz adn co in the centre of Cyberton that re-awakened Primus...

thanks for the quick reply and answer.it was looking a bit horrid with just a autobot team and no decepticon version.

They weren't referred to by that name, but in the Paulbot-verse, the elite Decepticons marching on Iacon during Target 2006 (Dirge (leader), Blitzwing, Octane, Shrapnel, Kickback, Bombshell, Thrust, Ramjet and Macabre) were an earlier roster of the Mayhem Attack Squad.

It's YOUR collection. Do what you want, and buy the figures YOU want to have displayed.

Hell, add your own figures to the Wreckers line-up.

Huffer not a Wrecker? Bam. He is now.

Collect to enjoy. :)

I remember references being made to the Wreckers in the Dreamwave comics. I can't recall if they were an actual unit, or it was just a fan-wank reference.

EDIT: Ahh. Here we go. It lists them all, including the DW team.

Enjoy!
