Finally I had a enough of my Classic Ironhide and his crappy neck and arms design...He no longer looks like a sumo wrestler with a neck problem:p:p
Ironhide vists WJs chiropractic clinic.

Gen WJ "what did you do??
Jacky " What do you mean!! he ask me to adjust his back and neck and he just fell apart, how was I to know, he wasn't blessed with a neck"
Gen WJ " your nothing but a brute with swords, you know nothing about the internal workings of a Transformer, maybe between us we can put him back together before Ratchet finds out"

Several hours later

Tadaa...A Ironhide with a neck, arms that hang down and a slight adjustment to hes transformation and he now looks like Ironhide..

Theres a reason why it packaged in vehicle mode:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
There are a number of problems with this mold, namely the head, it only rotates left and right and the platform where the head sits isn't able to raise high enough for the head to come right out as mine do's now, and his arms are slightly average as they permanently stick out, this is an easy fix as all you need to do is remove a bit of the plastic where his arm pit would be.it makes a huge difference to the aesthetics of the mold.

heres a link to show what I mean and this is no exaggeration of the mold.

Nice work Tabias, how'd you fix the head?

Here (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=10230) are some other mods you might be interested in for this mould. :)

If I had a spare Ironhide I'd love to tinker with it....

+1. I've looked at mine and can't for the life of me work out how you made that work.

I'll be trying Double Dealer's mod too - makes a heap of sense.

I found a mod ages ago at tfw2005, haven't applied it yet, but it involves cutting out plastic from several different locations to allow the head to be fully exposed. and the backpack to fold up properly.
I never realised there was a problem with the arms.

I don't usually do tutorials, but I'll give it a try:o:o:o

First the easy part. move the back wheels so they become part of hips, this give you a bit more freedom for the head platform to raise.

Next comes the fun part....cutting, grinding, drilling and gluing :D:D:D:D
First the cutting and grinding.First you will need to cut out the plastic from between the head platform and the tube, right to the back, but not all the way though. This is indicated with the yellow line. Then grind back the hollow tube underneath to just past the head platform, indicated by the blue circle. this helps to force up the platform a little bit more because its not resting on the back of grey chest plate, Now the delicate part. you need use a bit of force and force up the head platform, gently but firmly force it up, just until it bends enough to leave a large enough between the hollow rod and platform. If you want you can place a piece of plastic between this section if you want to hold it there if your not comfortable in trying to force it up until it bends.

Now for the final part putting the ball joint into the head and platform. This is the catch to why I called this thread what I did because he now has a ball(joint)

Pretty simple and self explanatory pictures.

First you will need to grind flat the platform all the way to the back.
Next you will need to find a ball joint and pin of suitable size to squeeze into his head after you rime the guts of it out, be careful when doing this you could go to far and wreck the head from the inside out.You will need to be careful with the placing of the hole for the pin or you may not be able to transform him because his head will get caught on the lip as the head gos under, I learnt this because before I can transform him I need to turn the head 180 degrees, but it a small price to pay I can live with.

Here are some more mods over at TFW 2005 if you want to try something different, some are quite dodgy so pick and choose, but there is one there that it slightly similar to what I did but not quite as brutal in regards to raising
the head platform but do's give a better view of where to cut the plastic between the platform and tube.

I hope this helps someone as I don't usually do tutorials...enjoy:D:D:D

And I'm pretty sure I may have missed something but I hope you get the drift of what I did...........

I put up the link for the tfw2005 as well, some of those mods are a bit dodgy but there are one or two that work well..
