G'day folks.

Had an idea come up yesterday, what if members from OTCA in each state or territory were to create a mascot representing their area to complete in regular games on OTCA, like perhaps a Chatroom based Quiz, Drawing Competitions, Recorded / Livestreamed TF Monopoly / Stratego matches/tournaments?

And here is a link to a page that can offer some personality ideas behind your State/Territories' bots. Hmm, might make a Church-former that likes wine for SA... :D

I dont want any state based rivalries on otca but i guess im not active in the games/quizes part of the board anyway so my opinion should only be awarded 1 of the 2 cents on offer.

If the rivalries were in the spirit of fun it'd be okay, but if people took it too seriously it could be an issue. There's already many places where Victorians have been referenced as Mexicans.

I like it.. (the idea and the wine guzzling church-former) could be a bit one sided at times but still, sounds good.
We could have a pub-former. he charges $45 for a pub steaks and uses pint glasses as weapons..

Considering my part of Australia I would guess that the bot representing us would...

Transform into a VL Commodore
Drink lots of energon
He would need to be in a gestalt group because he would need buddies to hang around out teh front of the base.
Receive his energon from Iacon Council witthout actually mining it himself.
Everytime Prime needs him for a mission he would have a note from Ratchet saying his rear drive shaft was acting up and he wasn't medically cleared to go on missions.

+ VIC = transforms into either a Leadbeaters Possum (state animal) or Helmeted Monkeyeater (state bird).
+ NSW = transforms into either a Platypus or Kookaburra.
+ QLD = transforms into either a Koala (http://tfwiki.net/w2/images2/4/43/Neo-waitingroom.jpg) or a Brolga.
+ SA = transforms into either a wombat or a Piping Shrike (aka white-backed magpie).
+ WA = transforms into either a numbat or a Black Swan.
+ NT = Red Kangaroo (Star Upper's (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Star_Upper) Spark-brother? :p) or Wedged Tailed Eagle.

Tasmania doesn't have an official animal or bird emblem, but one could design a Tassie Devil TF -- and unlike existing Tas (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Snarl_%28BW%29) Devil (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Tasmania_Kid) TF (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Bound_Rogue)s, give it an accurate looking alt mode! This happens all the time in my family, as i have relatives all over Australia. It is purely in good fun. Just like calling queenslanders banana benders. Can't say I see the harm in it.

Oh heh I see now .... perhaps in VIC it should be an AFL Football as the state seems obsessed with it. I know possums are protected here but possum pie sure does taste good. :D

Your love of Beast Wars coming out again? Seriously why state animals or birds. I have no problem with Beast formers but here are some examples. Kinda sterotypical but I think they are appropriate and funny.

NT- Toyota Landcruiser (a sterotype I know but fact is there are a lot up there)
VIC- Formula 1 racecar or a racehorse
SA- A V8 Supercar or maybe an old classic truck with wine barrells on it (that maybe turn into shoulder mounted cannons)
TAS- A Yacht

These are just examples I came up with off the top of my head with no research at all.

I wasn't intentionally excluding vehicular alt modes, I was just going for alt modes that were distinctly/uniquely identifiable to each individual state/territory rather than generic "Australiana" alt modes. e.g. when I think of a Black Swan I immediately associate it with WA, Tas Devils are associated with Tasmania etc. It's either that or you can go for the official state flowers. :p :D I don't know much about cars, so I don't know if there are any vehicles that are distinctly identifiable to each state -- but if there are, then I reckon that'd be cool too. :)

Feels so unnecessarily Yankocentric... as if NSW is pretending to be the United States... why?? :confused: (It's almost as if some NSWers think it's clever to insult Victorians by calling them Mexicans... but then the insult flies back at us because it makes us Americans. (-_-))NSWers call Vic "Mexico" but never refer to their own state as "The United States" nor ever refer to QLD as "Canada." Stupid inconsistency. Bio:
Though slightly taller than a mere 6 inches, Coffeto is a very deadly Decepticon. He's taken the alternate form of a 600ml milk carton of Adelaide's cherished drink - the Farmer's Union Iced Coffee but unbeknownst to a human his exterior is made of reinforced layered Cybertronian metal making him much harder to crush. The genius design of his shield, though just an ordinary triangular prism is an effective combination of strength and defense. The same metal that makes his form also makes his shield and it proves very durable yet at he same time the slanted lateral designs allow laser beams to easily deflect across the battlefield causing enemies to think twice before shooting this little bugger. And many poor drunkards have broken their feet trying to step on Coffeto, stupidly thinking nothing of his superior disguise.

Though the spirit of Adelaide is stereotypically seen by others as a boring and a place filled with churches, Coffeto's personality is the polar opposite. He ain't holy and he ain't boring. When Coffeto first took upon this disguise, he was curious as to what caffeine and energon could to a Transformer and well, the bugger hasn't stopped shaking ever since and is very, very hyperactive. This proves troublesome for him though as he is at all occasions spotted by the daft Autobots because of his continuous shaking. Though his hyperactivity has proven useful as his reload speeds and super reflexes make him the perfect user of his octo-barreled 'Stingmaster Blaster'. Though the gun itself is quite weak for each individual laser shot, because of the skills that Coffeto has the gun becomes so powerful through super-spamming that it's even shot down great Autobots before.

Coffeto is perhaps over-confident of his abilities and he does need other Decepticons to carry him around (it took him 28 hours to walk a km alone) but it's the big spirit inside the little body that inspires other Decepticons to keep fighting for Decepticon Supremacy
