A fairly decent episode but not as good as the recent character building episodes of late. Was cool to see that Mech continues to be a legitimate threat for the autobots and cannot wait to see the new Silas. I still don't like episodes that do not involve decepticons.
Overall 6/10

I actually like the concept of Mech as an alternative antagonist for the Autobots other than the Decepticons. Makes things more interesting IMO. And at least Mech aren't anywhere near as lame as most other human villains in Transformers before (Professor Princess FTL <shudder>). The Transformers are often portrayed as being gods compared to humans; but it's interesting sometimes to have a "mere mortal" villain who can bring down these gods by outsmarting them... kinda like Lex Luthor. And while the Autobots may have been able to destroy "Nemesis Prime", defeat Mech and mortally wound Silas, their victory has certainly come with a cost -- the Autobots' reputation with the government has been strained. Even in defeat it seems that Mech has achieved victory on a psychological/political level.
The look of "Nemesis Prime" was interesting -- rather than just being black repaint he was just a dark, dirty and rusty version of Optimus Prime. The yellow eyes were also a nice touch -- great homage to the original G1 toy! :D
And what is it with the low security of Mech's bases?!? First Starscream just idly walks into a warehouse, now Fowler manages to waltz into their silo relatively easily (ooh, he had to knock out one watch guard... tough break). They can build a remote controlled Transformer, but they can't install CCTV, electronic alarms etc.?? Or heck, can't they just get a dog trained to bark/attack when it smells an unfamiliar scent?!?
I did like the showdown between Fowler and Silas though -- both exhibiting their military training. :) It'll be interesting to see how official relations between Autobots and humans go from this point... And did anyone else have the Six Million Dollar Man theme running through their head when they saw the end scene with Mech staff talking about rebuilding Silas? "Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first bionic man. Steve Austin^Silas will be that man. Better than he was before. Better...stronger...faster." *dun-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh...*

I definietely thought the same thing about Silas and the six million dollar man kinda thing, but for some funny reason I thought of inspector gadget haha. But I reckon it would be cool if they give Silas cybertronian technology, like give him a reinforced body and give him an arm that has transforming capabilitys, after all they still have starscreams t-cog :P
