I believe they are to plug in the screw holes on City Commander so it doesn't look ugly or too 'toy' like.

A little smaller, both in size and price, but huge thanks to Fatbot for the awesome Blood head Warrior upgrade set and UltraMarginal for the tip that it was for sale. Bludgeon is probably my favorite figure eminating from the movie lines, in fact probably would have been happier with him in DOTM instead of ol' one eye. I didn't realise until I actually put the upgrade on just how much cooler he becomes. The photos don't do it justice (I only have a phone camera and even then its a HTC legend :()

Superion mode :) Otherwise the Aerialbots won't stand a chance against Bruticus. I've been waiting way too long for this set to have it displayed in all its glory!

How come it got through customs?

I don't think they even looked at it tbh. Unlike MP Megatron there's not any metal in him to set them off. I can't imagine there'll be too much trouble getting these into the country. I would question the legality of them confiscating them anyway. He's hardly a replica pistol like MP Megs was.

It is quite awesome that they were able to incorporate metal parts on both these WSTs. Really makes the figure more solid and actually heavier than they look

Also bought those Minions tapes - Nightfang and Savage. They have metal parts which make em a bit heavy but both have flimsy looking(and it actually is) robot altmodes. Nightfang is sleek looking though... savage is more meh... Ive got Sonicron on my POL at BBTS so the minions are for him should I decide to have it delivered :D:p

and Ive also got 5 of those figure stands which I use there holding Nightfang up...

Mini Shot :p actually can turn into all six modes which is awesome and I simply love that they even were able to copy the details on his chest that small... it's like the mini dinobots all over again for me, I am very impressed and I love this figure!

Mini Astro is exactly the same as the bigger guy but of proper sizing mini wise - if it was the ratio of how Astrotrain should be to other figure - he should be big as he is their transport. I also love that he is colored the way he was shown in the toons and not the white Jap version which honestly for me feels halfbake.

Applying the sticker though is a PAAAAIIIIINN!!:o:o:p

Yep, everyone gets it. Luckily it is not a 'limited issue' figure as originally implied by fans.

Mini Cyclops is pretty cool, for a Legends size figure he has pretty sophisticated engineering, closer to a deluxe but there are some flaws that hold it back a bit.

Certainly a very nice bonus figure and totally unexpected. The weirdest thing about it is that according to the mini-comic included, this is the 'real' Cyclops and the big boat Cyclops is just a transtector similar to how Mega Pretenders worked in G1.

Vangelus/Peaugh did not mention this in their reviews, but is there a way of combining or integrating mini Cyclops with the big guy in robot mode?

Vangelus did mention it but he called it something weird which made it vague like a 'Powermaster'. Technically, mini Cyclops is not integral to the larger toy as it only 'stores' within the larger figure without having any real functional aspect (Unlike a Headmaster or Powermaster which is necessary and visible). However it is cool how the bottom of the ship opens up with three bay doors to allow the sub to 'dive down'.

If I bring it to the fair, I am going to have to practice transforming him better. I still struggle a bit from robot to ship but it's easy to do it from ship to robot. It could take me a while to do it too.

He is really big and although not too fragile, I can see risk in carrying him around so I will need to decide if I should. He is very solid and more compact in ship mode which would be his optimal form of transport.

Had a brief play - Plastic is FP quality and several of the individual bot engineering is unusual when compared to the regular stuff so the first transformation will seem strange but once you get the hang of it, it's great.

Something that surprise me is that although most of the guys are 'tall' deluxe size (like Classics Sunstreaker), Mixmaster and Hook are closer to voyager! However they all still display great together.

The only one who doesn't fit classics as much is Hook who almost seems as if he was designed by someone else than the other other guys; he may also be the most compromised for the combined mode. I was surprised at this as I thought the weakest would be Longhaul as he seemed to be the most compromised design but he is actually pretty awesome!

WARNING: Several combining ports and individual transformation parts have 'push' buttons that unlocks parts which can be a bit hidden in the design. If you see something that you know should separate but can't, look for a little button to push. Don't force things if they are locked as you may damage the mechanism.

As an example, my Mixmaster ended up with a funny long waist, I couldn't push it in until I realized I needed to push a button.

That said, I felt there was care taken to ensure that all the components slotted together nicely.

It's inevitable that I'd think back to my FP Colossus and compared this with it. I think Colossus still has slightly better integration and versatility of the way it uses the components.

However, Green Giant is still a very nice set, with a good colour scheme and attention to detail. In my opinion, a definite buy if you can afford it.

All the text is in Japanese, but you do not need to be able to read it to know how to transform them. I got by fine with just looking at the pictures and observing the figures carefully (because I always think I may accidentally break something).

However, the instructions for actually combining the figures into Giant leave a bit to be desired as I felt some steps could have benefitted from additional photos.

Unfortunately my FP Colossus is in storage deep in my daughter's room, so comparison shots are not possible - perhaps one of the other members could help you?

I found the forearms quite hard to insert into the upper arms. I had to use a lot of "controlled force" and nudge the joints together. But that was the only area where I had some issues.

The pictures on the box, along with the Japanese text gave me a sense of pseudo-authentic-official-ness, though of course I know it's an unauthorised product. :)

Sam, I think you have yours not properly transformed and connected. I can see that one leg is shorter than the other possibly due to Mixmaster's robot mode waist not being pushed in. I also fell on this trap when I first combined it and it took me a while to realize what was wrong.

This figure is much more stable than FP Bruticus as all combiner limbs are ratcheting joints but for the ratchet to work, you need to properly lock the joints. If not done properly, the arms will either be weak or flop around.

Remember what I said about buttons for hooking up joints on the previous page.

I do totally agree on this. The instructions are nice looking but they skip steps! However once you transform once for any figure, you don't really need the instructions any more as the design is pretty good. However the engineering must be understood first, this is different to a standard Hasbro toy.

The waist, and all 4 limb joints in combine mode has the 'lock' buttons. However you don't have to use them when connecting the knees (but they are necessary to disconnect).

The shoulders need you to be pushing the button as you connect the arms and because they are tiny, this can be very tricky as there is two of them for each shoulder that need to be pushed simultaneously. Once done, the arm joint will go all the way in and very smoothly. When you release the button, it will be fixed very solidly and move easily through the ratchet joint and able to maintain poses.

When it comes to Mixmaster, the robot mode waist (the connector from 'cab' to 'barrel trailer' in vehicle mode) needs to be pushed in through a similar button as the arms. You can only do this when the cab is in 'foot mode'. You will notice that it will shorten and level with the other leg.

The waist connect though 'clips' that only hook up properly if you align them while pushing little buttons that open up the 'hooks' connectors that clamp on the waist. When you release the buttons, the waist clamps into the torso.

From what I hear, it sold really well so it may prompt them to release more or a variation of the same mold.

FP confirmed at TFcon that there will definitely be a 2nd Wave release of Steelcore & that there will also be future Repaints/Minor-Retools of the figure planned for later down the line. ;):cool:

Seems like vanbots would be far from being just a myth as some other dudes (http://www.robotkingdom.com/services/eshop/main.php?action=details&CatType=&II=XTX7X8&lang=us&CatID=) are getting in on that pie. Not sure why this 3P is going ahead with these guys, shortly after iGear's release, and whilst these figs look less appealing in design. It's not like what's recently happened with TFC re-doing a superior Reflector when Perfect Effect had already done it ages ago.

These Art Feather guys are quite the rebels - they've even gone and outright taken DW images and screenshots of the G1 cartoon?

Got my Art Feather Bumblebee and I have to say this is the best Classic or G1 Bumblebee available. Art Feather have really captured the G1 look and feel of the alt mode whilst unashamedly using hasbro/takaras classic transformation.

In the box you get Bumblebee, a small spike figure, a toolbox, bumblebees particle decelerator, 2 x alt hands, collectible coin, stat card, sticker sheet, and instructions

The overall package is a blatant transformers rip with autobot logos and animated screen shots

The figure itself is gorgeous
+ Great paint job, yellow is vibrant, apps look great and chrome is perfect
+ Plastic feels great and not a cheap ripoff
+ I <3 NY number plate
+ Rubber tires
+ Tight joints. Not 1 lose
+ Detail like side mirrors, rear and front lights, windscreen wipers
+ Size inline with MP10
+ Looks great next to classics cliffjumper and takara Goldbug however bee is slightly taller

- Wheels don't spin freely
- Bad English bio translation
- Price

Overall: as previously stated, this is the best G1 Bumblebee available and is a must to replace classics bee in your collection and hasbro should take note of the quality and paint apps. I would imagine that hasbro will have this pulled from the market very soon as Art Feather do not even try to cover up ripping of hasbros trademark. Get it now

Oh wow! - That's pretty cool man, the alt mode reminds me a lot of the Gobot figure but that's a fairly well executed kit right there. :eek:

My thoughts basically are as follow:

Larger than initially expected.
Great individual Alt & Bot modes.
Both modes give me an extreme sense & feeling of the G1/Diaclone toys with 'stepped up' layers of articulation, engineering, mold crispness & detailing.
Transformations are initially quite fiddly with each figure being their own adventure in varying difficulty.
Gestalt Compromisation is surprisingly minimal if not nigh-nonexistent.
Gestalt Combination points are really well executed & are sufficiently solid, limbs survive the 'shake' test.
Constructing Giant is quite a joy with balance & weight distribution well handled and ending with a very satisfying head reveal.
Giant's Articulation & Poseability is exactly what I like in a modern Combiner & is a clear evolution from FansProject's Colossus, brilliantly displaying what a 3rd Party combiner is capable of.
I quite like how 'Bonecrusher' & 'Scavenger' essentially become 'Shoulder Pads' as it really helps with arm articulation & shows that MakeToys' engineers are looking at other toylines (Like S.H. Figuarts perhaps) to solve certain design challenges.
I really-really like the new head & don't see the "Derp-face" alot of others seem to, all I see is a King of Braves - GaoGaiGar homage and that sits with me very nicely.


The silhouette, gate & presence of these figures along with Giant completely negate any annoyances I had with the waiting time I had with this set; I absolutely love Giant & Co and I feel very satisfied with the $350 I paid for him, the 6 weeks of saving was well worth it. :D:cool:

Oh wow! - What are your thoughts on Grind Rod dude, I personally think the idea of these Throttlebots combining is completely forgettable as the figures themselves look utterly fantastic! :eek:

Great gets dude! I've got one of those "ravage" usbs, they're great! You'd be astounded how easy it is to enthrall a class of students by showing them a usb stick that then transforms into a "jaguar" :)

I also love that white 'bee, it reminded me of Herbie! There's actually a kit you can get from bubbleformer.com that allows you to make you own version.

The thing that kind err, bugs, me about the official ehobby white Bumblebee is, that he has a (more cartoon accurate?) Cliffjumper head. While if you want an exact copy of g1 bee in white, ko or maybe brazilian (or whatever it was) is the only way to get it

Grind Rod did not exhibit any QC issues mentioned in some of the Youtube reviews I found. His hip ball joints were slightly loose in comparison with the rest of the body, but no where near an issue. The other majority of his joints were insanely tight.

Deep Cover's plastic does feel slightly cheap, not the same as the later CHMS Seekers, or perhaps a point below FOC G2 Bruticus. Joints, however were incredibly tight all over, including the ankle ball joints, the door/arm guard swivel, and the rear of the car/knee cap shield ball joints.

My first TFC toy arrived. I took the plunge with Phantom. My first Aerialbot was Fireflight, so TFC releasing Phantom first seemed auspicious.

Anyway not bad at all, TFC do some good work. My only gripe is that he needs more accessories. the bomb/fuel tank gun just doesn't cut it, and he has got two plugs on each wing so they could have included more missiles. Or a hand gun or something. I'm sure another third party will fix this up soon enough though. Dr Wu are you listening?

No it's a little taller than a Deluxe, In altmode it's more like a modern voyager (like Powerdive also pictured) and would never fit on a Deluxe card.

- Mastermind Creations
- Toyworld
- PerfectEffect (latest offerings from Scouting Force X Onwards)
- IGear (Latest non-KO offerings).

Yes I am! I have several of their releases but in the whole, they are still a small player with just simple upgrades under their belt (although some effective ones).

Agreed. And most sellers selling KO FP's have been honest enough to say they KO's. The real McCoy cannot be compared in terms of quality. I did pick up a KO D.I.A Commander for $20 and sorely regret it.

I mainly use BBTS because of the pile of loot system, if its only one thing I'm after I use RK, being in Hong Kong postage is relatively cheaper then the others. I do also use TFSource if they have something the others don't.

All 3 have been great to deal with. Haven't had a single problem and I've ordered quite a bit this year.

Have had this guy for a couple of weeks now really liking it had a couple of nitpicks about it so I fixed them. Gave hime blue eyes painted the back of his head white and painted his shoulder joints along with his crotch piece red and looks even better again now!!

Have had this guy for a couple of weeks now really liking it had a couple of nitpicks about it so I fixed them. Gave hime blue eyes painted the back of his head white and painted his shoulder joints along with his crotch piece red and looks even better again now!!

Oh wow, he looks fantastic now. Nice job.

Looks nice, I'm not fussed over the eyes, but the red crotch piece works much better with the read paint aps on the legs, well done.:)

Got IGear's UFO and Hench. Pretty neat toys! The plastic is not as good as other 3rd parties but it is solid and strong with play value in mind. The design is simple but clever and effective, certainly a lot better than the current Hasbro stuff.

They also come with collector cards!

Got Tfc Phantom today! I like it!

Got IGear's UFO and Hench. Pretty neat toys! The plastic is not as good as other 3rd parties but it is solid and strong with play value in mind. The design is simple but clever and effective, certainly a lot better than the current Hasbro stuff.

They also come with collector cards!

Brawn is great isn't he? I love the leg transformations. And Cosmos, while not super-articulated, is pretty fun. :)

I am not sure if Toyworld is making all the Headmasters. It seems that Hardhead is missing from the FP line up and the only reason that I can think of is because Toywold is making him.

I got Function-X Code with a lot of stuff from BBTS.

he's an interesting departure from Fansproject's usal style, but he meshes with CHUG really well. he's also the reason I've pre-ordered Toyworld's Hardbone.
