Well that was quick... yes it's Overlord.

Jet mode is worked out. Tank mode is going to have to be Cybertronian, and I've abandoned the base idea.

Plane mode. I swapped the tail fins around to differentiate him from Starscream.

I could close the feet together if I removed the toes, but then he'd have a gap in his feet in robot mode.

And here it is as a gun emplacement.

I did think about buying a toy Dr Who sonic screwdriver and using that as a cannon - the scale would be right - but then thought do I want to be spending $30 on a custom for a mode that will rarely be used?

Alternative configuration ideas are welcome.

Here me out ok, I prefer the tank with the pointy-ness tucked away, in fact remove the pointy bits altogther (or do what you need to) so the feet close together in tank mode. Then drill a 5mm hole further back on the top of the tank and add a bfg that looks like a tank cannon and becomes a rifle in Overlord mode.

For a gun emplacement, either just angle the tank like in your picture or make the rifle attach to where the pointy bits are currently extended.

Thanks for the feedback Deonasis. I just remembered today I have bits left over from a Universe Dropshot, including his arm cannons, so I'll look into making use of those.

Further to the BFG question, during my lunch break I went to a $2 shop and picked up a toy gun I hope to modify into a tank weapon. Stay tuned.

A $2 KO nerf gun with the handle cut off and the guts stripped out for a handle attachment. It's jammed inbetween the legs for tank mode, but it can be held in Overlord's hand in bot mode.

I was thinking that with the points extended you had a flying drone, but once you put that gun on top, with the points retracted there is a definite Tank vibe. loving the progress.

Totally agree man; Snakey this is really starting to look like one of your best customs mate, the anticipation is tangible! :eek::D
