Got me some comics as well - it's was quite a trek to Parramatta since the Richmond line is .. again... under repair... sigh. good thing I have it on pre order couldn't snag an extra copy though as it was still early in the day
(was too embarrassed to ask:o). But, from looking at the FCB shelves the TF 80.5 comic wasnt being picked up... really. so hopefully they get stick with extra copies. Wonder if any of the guys can give PZ Parra a call to see if they can keep the copies for pick up those coming at the next parra fair which is soon...

It's Free Comic Book Day, and not only did I get to pick up two copies of ReGeneration 1 #80.5, but I also got to meet the creative team and have them sign the comics.

Simon Furman, Andy Wildman and Stephen Baskerville also signed TFUK #199 for me, since it was the first issue with the team as writer, artist and inker respectively. Andy told me that the reference to Frank St on Page 5 of that issue was named after his son, who was born while he was working on the issue. It was awesome to finally meet, shake hands and chat with three people who helped shape my life. I'm too excited to really take in the story of #80.5, but I love the art.

My son just turned 4 and we had a transformers themed bday party and he was given by a friend a RTS Wreck Gar. He instantly knew straight away that i had been looking for him for a while at a good price so he immediately offered to give it to me to add to my collection. I turned it down of course but i was surely tempted. Wreck gar lives on the shelf with the other CHUG members but my son can play with him whenever he likes. (just cant touch the others:D)

Got my Arms Skywarp in the mail today along with Arcee, Ratchet and a G2 volt sticker set from reprolabels to go on a spare HTFD Hubcap :)

Reeeeally nice G1 colour on Skywarp and retool so that he can carry minicons but black really makes him look more like a female. I can't help but think of him as Crasher, Fracture or Blackarachnia!

Crankster, I second G-rock's idea. Even if you got them at a reasonable price letting them know may change how they present their wares and force them to be more honest in future.

Latest TFsource article had a link. Down the bottom of the page they have some AFA graded misbs. Minus maybe $200 and you are probably looking at that price un graded.

I think you can open a dispute and maybe get your money back if they went out of their way to pass these off as original G1 items but don't quote me on that:confused:

You can open a dispute if the item is "significantly different" from what the buyer expected. This can sometimes be a grey area, but if the seller has represented the item as genuine G1 and not a reissue G1 or KO then I would think that there is a case.

Thanks guys, just done some investigation into the info that Paulbot sent and, yep they are KO's and I'm quiet annoyed. will be looking into opening a case against the eBay seller. Again thanks for the info from Paulbot and all of you that sent through KO info, will be a little more careful next time. guess one has to wonder why we as collectors have to be conned into these things , but as i see it i should have done a little more probing into the KO's than just jump in and buying it. kind of wondered why they were in such good shape and not that expensive.

haven't stickered him up yet and don't know if I will. Maybe I'll give him some paint instead. His shoulders don't hold together as well as I would like, after posing the arms I sometimes need to squeeze them back together. The arm articulation allows for some very dynamic gestures. They have really positioned the hinges just right, even the mid-forearm one which allows for that extra movement but suprisingly doesn't look awkward unless you push it over about 45 degrees. The Arms Micron he comes with is an interesting little trinket but it certainly didn't make me want to invest in any more AM's. It looks silly on him so I leave it aside. Honestly the main reason I got AM Megatron instead of hunting down the Entertainment pack version is because I thought the Micron might go well with Voyager Megs, but it has a disproportionately long handle and looks like a massive protrusion.

Ratchet is a great figure. He compacts down very well into vehicle mode and his 'bot mode feels solid and has a lot of articulation. Highly recomended. My only complaint is that his collar forces his head to tilt when you turn it, but this can be rectified by taking a small stanley knife or other cutting impliment and shaving plastic out from where his chin bumps against the collar. Altogether I am very impressed. He is one of my favourite Prime figures.

Two of my favourite molds from the TFC line :D.

Got a bit concerned with Prowl in light of some recent posts regarding ebay pickups. He doesn't have the rubsign on the back of his head where they were placed for this release (in fact he doesn't have one at all). But given that the word Diaclone isn't in his shield stickers (1990s re-release), his paint is really sharp (KOs have paint bleed), all his weapons, box and paperwork are legit and the copyright stamp is the same as genuine G1 (which I have for comparison) except that the word "Japan" has been removed from the back of his left leg. I'm thinking either factory error or the owner prior to the seller removed it (although there is no adhesive residue to indicate this).

I think it's legit, but there is a niggle at the back of my head. Does anyone else here have TFC prowl and could verify the copyright stamp please?

@Raptormesh: you might want only BUmblebee and Cliffjumper figures for the Alternity line the rest you can live without. Mind you some of the later BTs are plastic figures - just like Alternators - e.g. Mirage. which was one of the deciding factors for me when I went ahead on expanding my Alt collection ( I only had Smokescreen then) instead of going BT... my only other BT is Arcee since she was never released in Alt version. The other factor being price. :D

Binaltechs are 1:24 whereas Alternity are 1:32, so they're not to scale with each other as far as the vehicles are concerned. As far as the robots are concerned... that's subjective and depending on what you would consider to be "in scale." Being 1:32 the Alternities are all smaller than the 1:24 Binaltechs and Alternators, so Alternity Bumblebee does stand shorter than Prowl in robot mode if that's what you're after. But conversely the Suzuki Swift mode will be out of scale to Meister's Mazda RX8 mode too.

Anyway, here's a photo of my Alternity Bumblebee next to BT Skids and Prowl for comparison if it helps. :)

Nah their smaller. But if you can accept the size difference in G1 Jazz and Bumblebee - that's how they are reltively sized, prolly even more actually with G1 Bee an SD car really. Now that you've seen it, keep that size in mind and think Alterity Prime and Megs - their of the same size as Bee that is why for me, and I mean for me, I can only accept Bee/CJ Alternity but the rest of the line, meh never mind.

Nah their smaller. But if you can accept the size difference in G1 Jazz and Bumblebee - that's how they are reltively sized, prolly even more actually with G1 Bee an SD car really. Gok has provided a pic I see. Now that you've seen it, keep that size in mind and think Alterity Prime and Megs - their of the same size as Bee that is why for me, and I mean for me, I can only accept Bee/CJ Alternity but the rest of the line, meh never mind.

Surprised at the price I managed to get a sealed one for off eBay (won't feel so bad about openning him).

I think that's partly why I like him :)

It's a limitation of the mold. In helicopter mode the rear portion/ tail of the copter of the G1 and botcon is pink. Sadly being the mold he is that means that the legs being the rear portion of the toy make him pink, as opposed to having a pink torso. If his chest was to be pink like the G1 he's paying homage to, the front of the copter would be pink.

You can't please all the people all the time... I personally think he's great :)

I can overlook having the same body/alt mode - but at very least a different head would make a world of difference. And the annoying thing was that it took HasTak a long time to figure this out - they just kept on repainting Bumblebee and calling it Cliffjumper, e.g. Movie Cliffjumper, Ti Series Cliffjumper, RH Cliffjumper, Henkei Cliffjumper... gah!! Eventually they did work it and started giving us Cliffjumpers with new heads, e.g. Animated, Alternity, Generations. But that period when we kept on getting red Bumblebees being passed off as Bumblebee was frustrating to say the least. I really love the Transformers Prime Cliffjumpers; none of them are repaints or retools of Bumblebee! :D

As for head swapping -- I replaced the head of my Classics Cliffjumper with Generations Cliffjumper ($25). :) Generations Cliffjumper looks ridiculous with Classics Cliffjumper's head, but I just keep him in vehicle mode. I don't mind the look of Gen. Cliffjumper's head on CLA Cliffjumper's body - sure, the red is darker, but I don't think it looks bad. But the CLA Cliffjumper's head on Gen. Cliffjumper's body does look really silly. Also, it doesn't fit into the vehicle mode when you transform. So I've just put CLA Cliffjumper's head into storage and keep Gen. Cliffjumper in vehicle mode. I pretty much paid $25 to get Gen. Cliffjumper so that I could put his head onto CLA Cliffjumper's body; an arguably cheaper alternative to paying for an unlicensed kit... not that it would've been an option for me as I have a personal policy against purchasing unlicensed toy products. So for anyone looking for a "legitimate" (for lack of better word) and possibly cheaper option of a head swap, I'd recommend Gen. Cliffjumper.

Given the choice between paying $51 (incl. postage) for an unlicensed head and pair of guns vs. hopping over to TRU and paying $25 for Generations Cliffjumper where I get an entire action figure that I can swap the head (and give Gen. Cliffjumper's gun to CLA Cliffjumper) -- I'll take Gen. Cliffy. :)
