Like many I guess I expected FOC Magnus to just be a basic white repaint of the Prime toy. And I didn't like the look of the new FOC Prime figure compared to the WFC Prime which I think is great. But the new toy's bigger chest and longer arms look right as Ultra Magnus. I do hope the grey turns out a bit more white than grey once un-photoshopped but overall I'm looking forwar to this toy now.

Sideswipe also looks really good, once you remove the oversized Mechtech style weapon.

This is the first time I've been impressed by a UM repaint! Though I'm a little disappointed (but not surprised) they've already started doing repaints for a line that's a year away from release.

Hmmm so UM is Deluxe Sized then, hmmmm was hoping for voyager as he should be bigger, but then size has always been as issue with Hasbro and it's TF product :p.

That is a gorgeous Ultra Magnus. But he can't be deluxe sized, that's too small! Please Hasbro, please make him Voyager!

Or at least one of those ridiculously tall deluxes like Animated Lockdown.

He can't very well lead my movie team, if he's teeny tiny (I can justify Thunderwings size drop--but Ultras Magnus should always be big).

Wow, UM looks actually really good. Instead of just a straight repaint, they give him a new head. Hasbro has really learnt to do even a minor retool to make the figure that much different rather than just a repaint. I feel that mold fits perfectly.

That and I really like Starscream and Kickback, Sideswipe has small legs, but I will be spending alot of money when these guys come out :p

So the first three waves of Generations is going to be completely FOC? Not that I mind mind you, but 2013 seems a long way off considering how the other two only have a month in between them. I just hope the line doesn't fade away like the end of most of ours do.

They plan on having Prime run for longer than just 2 seasons don't they? So Prime and Generations will be running concurrently?

That UM looks nice. Heck they all do. Is there going to be a new Megatron as well?

Sideswipe is an impressively extensive retool of Jazz, though which I appreciate the effort I'm not sure I'm a fan of the execution (or the massive gun).

Starscream looks great though, I'll definitely be picking one or two of those up.

They don't seem to be bothering to integrate weapons into the alt modes anymore. I started to see that in the DOTM line and it now seems even more blatantly obvious here.

Just had a look at starscream and I've changed my mind about him. He looks to bulky in robot mode. I thought the same of him and the other seekers in WFC Think I'll pass on him.

And a sword just doesn't suit ultra magnus. He's a soldier. He needs a rifle.

I like Starscream. I think he is really well done and surprisingly character model accurate to WFC/FOC/IDW.

I just hope that Hasbro adheres to the colors of the promo pics but I doubt it. Hopefully Takara-Tomy will show us their own version colors before the Hasbro releases become available so that they can allow fans to choose which one they prefer.

Sideswipe seems to just get bigger and bigger non-integrated weapons with his new toys...

Liking most of these toys, sad that there will be none on shelves at the same time as the game release (if all dates are to be believed). Good that there is a few months between each wave, gives us time to save up.

However it might be harder to get them all, as the only tf competition that it will have is the inferior Prime line.

I am liking everything I see ASIDE from the trend away from even the 1st wave of FOC characters towards these big weapons that 'store' on the alt mode. That has ruined an otherwise great toy.

Just to be different that Ultra Magnus repaint doesn't really impress me that much, although it is far better than what I would expect from Hasbro.

Starscream and Sideswipe on the other hand look great, Unlike FOC Jazz, Sideswipe actually has a head sculpt superior to his classicverse counterpart IMO.

Fireflight even looks decent in those doctored Hasbro shots, though not much like Fireflight.

Ultra Magnus is great, that mold looks so much better as him than it does as Optimus. Wish he came with a Hammer instead of a sword though.

Well these Game-'Aligned' continuity figures certainly do look absolutely awesome! :eek::cool:

Starscream: Looks excellent; executed superbly and I look forward to both the Skywarp & Thundercracker repaints. :cool:
Insecticon (Kickback): Looks rather cool indeed; a triple changer that unfortunately wasn't able to achieve it's Insect Alt mode in Botcon's display case. :p
Ultra-Magnus: This mold is far better suited to this character and whilst I don't agree with the eye colour, I'm glad that I now have a reason to pick up this mold. :eek::cool:
Sideswipe: A greatly retooled version of the relevant Jazz mold; he looks very good but also suffers from this stupid 'Make the Weapons the Gimmick' gone bad that TF lines have been suffering of late. :o
Fireflight: Is an interesting repaint/retool that I didn't see coming; the colours are nice as with his head-sculpt, which is one repaint away itself from being a Decepticon again. ;):)



That said, I'll be looking forward to a certain Voyager and a pair of Legion class Twin-packs most of all though. ;):D

Not keen on Decepticon leaders being repainted/sculpted as Autobot grunts - it really takes the evil out of the original mold when you compare the two together. At least this Fireflight from Shockwave looks better than Henkei Strafe from Cyclonus.

I agree that the mold and design isn't very good (none are really) but the character is well represented and that is why I like it.

I suspect it's because - other than Titanium - it's the only genuine Magnus toy in 25 years to look like his outer shell and not just an Optimus Prime recoloured in white.

Pretty good job me thinks. I like the Insecticon and Magnus is very well done too (but again that is probably due to tthe fact he is not just a white prime). Starscream looks to be very well executed.

I am not a fan of Sideswipe as I prefer the WFC design of him and felt that deserved a toy. Fireflight is lazy and unispired. That does not have an aerialbot feel to me.
