Usual little review thingy to get some chat and money's worth out of the mag. I am a little tired of the thing TBH and unless something really awesome happens for next year, I doubt I will be renewing my membership.

Cover Fan Tomoe Ishida image of Prime and Megs having a bit of disagreement over the Hall of fame thing. Quite a good cover I think, the art is noce. Tomoe was the winner of the design a cover competition.

Page1 General info page promoting Botcon and has a paragraph on the site hacking problem. Incidentally mine also came with a separate page letting me know about the issue and what theyhave done 'purchased some protection' on my behalf. Thanks guys. Oh it probably only works in America... Typical.

Page2 Q&A With Hasbro. - Essentially asks fro a preview of what the big H have to show at Botcon. A bit of chat about issues with making Bruticus an articulated combiner and a quick questioning as to whether they have plans for more. Answer is, option is there.

HOLY CRAP! They have a picture of a TOY in the magazine. Sneak peak of Cyberverse Ultra Magnus, which we saw from Botcon. Been a long time since something like THAT has happend.

Page3-4 Interview with 'Chick Russell' (Chick? Really?) Show prosducer on Universal Studios Transformers the Ride 3d. Bit of talk about Evac. Mostly the pages are filled with pictures though.

Page 5-10 Comic, Flash Forward Part 2. Bleh. Yet another slightly awkward to read comic. Especially when on the last page with Runamuck and Runabout, the bottom left frame has something happening, but it's so badly done it gives no sense as to what has happened. Absolutely awful. Were they blinded? Did they bump something? Maybe one of them farted? I can't tell from the picture...

Page 11-12 Bios - Sizzle and Jhiaxus. nice drawing for the robot modes, 'Enhanced' toy photos for the vehicle modes. On the plus side, the bios are better written and the club has finally begun to understand the proper use of commas.

Page 13 Allspark Almanac Addendum. These have been having single pages pop up for a while now. This issue though is a bit of a let-down. Why? Animated Shattered Glass folks. It's like they don't have any more ideas.

"Hey guys, what should we do this time?"
"How about Animated shattered glass?"
"Oh yeah! That's great, next year we can do Prime Shattered Glass, after that Beast wars Shattered Glass"
"Don't forget Cybertron Shattered Glass, coz we can do so much there!

Page 14 Keeping in the Shattered Glass Animated thing, a letter from Sari to her dad. Just expands on the universe a bit more mentioning Ratchet, Bulkhead and Prowl. Sadly, I'd be all over the Animated SG universe.

I just hope they give it a couple of years first...

Page 15 Transfomers IQ trivia column. Again.
Recordicons.
And to fill in the last corner, "Transformers IQ Last Issue review" Which briefly covers the death of Orion, et al and change Into Prim et al, so a rather useless set up for the 'Wings' Universe I guess.

Bah, decidedly unexciting issue this one. I had a momentary buzz at Ultra Magnus, but that left since I have seen it anyway. Would have liked to see some more toys.

The reason I joined the 'official' collectors club was because I thought they'd have some interesting info on toy creation, advance info on new toys, lines and generally be an excellent source of news. Boy was I wrong.

So this was my first issue of the club magazine.

When I signed up, like most it was to get Runamuck. I never had any hopes or really cared for the magazine; I just thought it would be something cool to flip through a few times, perhaps to use as some toilet reading material.

Frankly, I was absolutely blown away by how crap it was. Somehow Funpub put together a "magazine" that was SO disappointing that they managed to annoy someone who had no expectations in the first place. I could probably write 15 pages on the growth patterns of Buffalo Grass and make them more interesting than this

Sapphire would be at the top of my list, purely because Sir Walter and King's Pride grow faster. It's wear's well like Sir Walter, the thinner blades look and feel great and it still grows well in shady areas ;)
