July is Decepticon Month, with a Decepticon theme to the covers and stories... but August follows on with a Dinobot theme across IDW's comics (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/idw-august-2012-transformers-solicitations/24877/). (with some covers joining up with other covers to form bigger images)
Starting off with a reissue of the Maximum Dinobots TPB to catch up the new readers as to where the Dinobots were last seen, we then have the three current comic series also getting into the theme.
TFRID #8 has Sludge, Snarl, Swoop & Slag arriving on Cybertron (after their last appearance in Maximum Dinobots)
TFMTMTE #8 has Grimlock showing up, after his escape from an Autobot prison some time ago.
PLUS, the MTMTE series is having an Annual. It is double-sized, so I'm not sure what else is in it, but the next chapter of the story is in the Annual. So more Transformers issues to buy this month... and next month, as RID will have their "Annual" in September.
And over in Regeneration One #2, we have Grimlock searching for a way to undo the affects of the Nucleon.
To wrap up the month, we have a the first GIJoe Vs Transformers story from 1987, plus their reintroduction of Generation 2 during the late GIJoe comic series (#139-142). It is labelled as Volume 1, so it sounds like we'll be seeing more of the GIJoe/TFs stories reprinted as well soon.
