That IS cheap! :eek: I paid the original retail price for her and Crosscut which was 6000JPY ($79); so I effectively paid 3000JPY ($39.50) for Road Rage. Although... as an eHobby exclusive, none of them should have price tag stickers as they were never sold in stores. Unless someone bought it off eHobby then for whatever reason decided to sell it off super cheap! :eek: Damn that is cheap!

It was first announced here (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=13549) as likely to be an Asian (non-JP) release (because it wasn't being solicited by JP sources) - 6th May
And a group-order was posted up here (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=13557) also speculating it to be a HK release - 7th May (the hotlinked image in that post was later changed by Robotkingdom after they got the stock)
When it was released, it was posted in the acquisition topic (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?p=302427#post302427) & the name change was noted in the news section (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?p=302432#post302432) - 30th May

This has been the best month for me as a Transformers collector in some time!

My newest and most magical possession is the extremely hard to track down Armour Up Activator Optimus Prime! :cool: According to the Allspark Almanac Part 2, this is how Optimus Prime would have looked if there were a Season 4 (prior to him later beefcaking into Powermaster Optimus Prime!).

I've also received the very nice Hyper Hobby Exclusive Black Rodimus. Been looking to pick this guy up for some time and finally got one at a good price. :) Love the colours on this guy, and the silver on the face and the transparent red windows look brilliant. Very pleased!

Kind of a costly day, but well worth it...

In order of least-to-most awesomeness, here's today's haul.

Mini Street Fighter Sakura figurine. Pretty cheap, so I got it.
DotM Commander Guzzle - a second one to go with my LSotW set - I'm still missing the twins, Stalker, Springer, and Overlord, and I might get a Classicsverse Perceptor and a spare Kup in case I ever want to sell the lot off. Don't know what the kanji on the box says.
Slap Dash & Trench Mouth 2-pack. Overpriced, but since we didn't get them in Oz and since I've been wanting Slap Dash for an Odieverse Wheelie for ages it doesn't feel like such a rip-off.
TM2 Dinobot, with some yellowing. For only 1200 yen it seemed worth it.
2 incomplete BW Scorponoks - between them I should be able to put together a complete one, sans missiles.
PRiDE Airachnid. Costly, and by all accounts not that great a toy, but I'm a sucker for evil fembots.
Deluxe Tokyo Toy Show 2010 Elite Guard Prowl. About $30.:D
And finally...
A loose, looks-to-be-in-really-good-condition, sadly-missing-his-gun-barrels-but-otherwise-good X-9 Ravage! About $50.

The latter two were bought mostly for eventual trade purposes. I'm quite happy with Samurai Prowl and would rather see my earlier, much-abused-by-an-amateur-customiser Ravage fixed up and given a show-accurate deco than cannibalise one with a functional still-intact original deco.
I'm currently thinking of trading either and/or both in return for someone doing some customs work on a few figures of mine*, though I could probably be tempted by a complete Classics Ultra Magnus.
Still, got too much to do over the next month or three to sort it anytime soon, so it's a someday thing.

*For those who are interested: my other very beat-up X-9 needs some TLC and a show-accurate deco since his own deco (and gun barrels :mad: ) got mauled before I got him, Prime Knock Out just isn't pretty enough, DotM Tomahawk would make a better Classics Rotorstorm IMO, and I'd sorta like to see my Prime FE Starscream become a Prime Sunstorm. Not too fussed on the latter but the first two are must-haves and #3 would be pretty nice too.
It's a little beat up, but seeing as I'm not the kind of collector who worries about the packaging I'd be fine with throwing in the box and paperwork from the earlier Ravage as well.

cool. megaman was my favorite game as a kid. I've been trying to find the older looking figures. so far i've only found the 10" Megaman and 6" Quickman.

DOTM Jetwing Optimus Prime from Myers clearance table. Henkei Ironhide from France!

DOTM jetwing prime was a figure that I was not going to get for a long time. While I got mine as a gift, I was reaching the point where I was going to break and get it as it is a really cool figure and a great alternative to the standard trailer accessory for Prime. Great pickup!


Got Alternator Ravage (Corvette) and Universe Inferno from Finback.

Alternators were a line I sort of missed, but the great and accurate Alt modes along with tricky transformations makes them absolutely worthy scores! I'm avoiding collecting them on the basis that my wallet can't sustain the damage :)

I'd recommend them, but not sure I could say highly recommend. I quite like the Furman era of IDW (as discussed here (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=13607)) and the presentation quality of these books is really good (and superior readability to the Premier Hardcovers). At the same time these can be a bit pricey, and they include some un-essential stories (the Avengers crossover in Vol 3, the Drift miniseries in Vol 4). From a completeness sake this is good though and I'm going to keep buying the volumes as long as they keep coming.

Today I picked up the TT Windcharger/Wipe Out set. It was a very unexpected find....

So, over the weekend, I bought Kreo Ratchet on sale at Target for $12.30, this completes my current kreo collection, barring the two basics that don't have kreons.

I have picked up a lot in the last month or so with the clearances. I have only assembled Jazz and Ratchet at the moment, I'm waiting for the nephew to visit to assemble another.

I like them, pretty good instructions, fairly good vehicle modes, the stickers are very sticky though, you need to make sure you have them right the first time.

I managed to get Munitioner and Explorer MISB in Feb this year for $220, and that was after a LOT of deliberation and hesitation. Prices on the secondary marketed have rocketed again after that. Seeing how you got Bruticus at a very subsidised rate, then I guess you've got a bigger budget for the add-on set.

Edit: I've just done a recently completed listing on eBay for prices, and there was a listing for FP Munitioner and Explorer that finished yesterday for under $200. I can PM you the link if you'd like.

Obliterator isn't a faction, it's a sub-group. And Pyro/Spark is the only Autobot Obliterator -- the other is Clench/Colossus who's a Decepticon.

Thanks G-rock, was pretty stoked with the MP SS being reduced. just lucky to be there, was looking for Skylanders for my son when i seen it, couldn't believe it was going for $59.00. Menasor has been a long one to finish as well, just have to find the little guns for the stunticons( they seem to be the hardest to find ) and am getting some new repro labels to make him look better.

Not sure what UKG charges as I got the item from eBay for about $100 including postage and handling.

What I can definitely say is that, while UKG cases look and feel OK, they aren't as pretty as the AFA ones I have.

Some of the staff at Target were dressed up as toys. I saw a girl at one counter dressed up as a Barbie doll, served one customer buying Scrabble and other Mattel board games, and the next customer buying Hot Wheels toys. Another lady served me who wasn't dressed up (she said that she dressed up last year and didn't want to do it again this year) -- I told her that it was pretty ironic that her colleague was dressed as a Mattel toy and served two customers in a row who were purchasing Mattel products! I pointed out that I was buying a Transformer (by Hasbro) and a Thomas the Tank Engine* toy (by Tomy), so it would've been ironic if she'd been dressed up as a G.I. Joe character. ;)

I just won an auction on ebay for two Generations Sergeant Kup figures with iGear head replacements installed for $24.86 including shipping (but only to the US). Provided the seller has no issues shipping it to my mail forwarder of choice (shouldn't be an issue) it's probably going to end up costing me somewhere in the region of $40 when all's said and done. I'm pretty happy paying $40 including shipping for 2 figures and the somewhat hard to find iGear head replacement. :)

Fingers crossed there are no issues, and that the other auctions I'm participating in go equally well. Thankfully the rest of them ship worldwide.

I don't know. I don't really think the figure needs any extras details and I'm not a big fan of that cracked chest plate. I can't find any decent pics of Kup with the anime style stickers implemented, which are the ones I'd use if I bought it, but on reprolabels.com they don't look like they match the plastic very well.

It's going to be a while until they arrive anyway, so I have some time to think on it. If you've still got the anime style stickers and have no intention of using them maybe we can reach some kind of arrangement once my figure arrives?


Update:
Just won two bids on ebay. One for Classics Starscream and the other Classics Rodimus. $70 for both including postage... the fact that postage is responsible for a full half of that price has me grinding my teeth a bit, but what can you do? I also purchased the Challenge at Cybertron 3 pack (also on ebay).

kmart put out their stock as well so I got mine there as they were selling it for $35 crankster in case you want doubles go to kmart just a bit cheaper :D:D and since you've already posted I'll just ride in your pics coz its the same pic acquisition item anyways hehehe

so this is a collection of my june hauls (minus whats in he post :O )

Got PCC Crankcase from the Big W sale this morning. Saw the Cyberverse vehicles there, but they're $3 dearer than Kmart. :/

Picked up leader DOTM Sentinel Prime for $49 at Kmart... his "try me" function doesnt work but I'm hoping its just the batteries. The other Sentinel on the shelf didnt work either.

Now I have Sentinel in all sizes! (commander, voyager and leader)

It will probably be fine, the outer paneling that the button is part of often doesn't sit down far enough, it has to be transformed just right to get all the tolerances right so the outer button intereacts with the actual inner button. don't forget to plug in a mechtech weapon to get the extra soiunds as well.;)

Transformers-wise I got voyager megatron and optimus at big w, non transformers-wise I got the amazing spider-man 6" figures and at kmart got the Lotr Lego Shelob set and the star wars lego x-wing set :D

Couldn't agree more with you dude :) One of my favourite Transformers is a G1 Grimlock that my grandfather bought for me for Xmas when I was a kid. It's a great reminder of him and something I will never part with.

Sigh, I can't find anyof them newer batch Cyberverse commanders so I just picked up my copy of TF: MOre than Meets the Eye #6 - as ever it's a good story, less boring the TF: RID... shame about the tragedy though oh well the story must go on....it felt like reading Star Trek Voyager for some reason... I like it:D:D:D

Interesting how TakaraTOMY are calling Voyager Breakdown "War Breakdown," and I noticed that the Cyberverse figure is called "Decepticon Breakdown." I guess TakTOM weren't able to secure the trademark to the Breakdown name -- but it's interesting to see how they're not just sticking to "Decepticon Breakdown" but changing it for the Voyager.

I got Cyberverse Knock Out w/ Driller today. Haven't opened it yet. ;)
