FoC Metroplex game image

Topping off the giants of the first game (Trypticon & Omega Supreme), the titans in the second game are Bruticus & Metroplex... and this time, you'll be able to play both in FoC (apparently).

An upcoming gaming convention is supposed to be the big reveal of Metroplex in the game, but one of the gaming magazines has come out with our first look in robot mode (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/transformers-fall-of-cybertron-metroplex-image/24983/)... and he's very Gen1 looking.

We keep thinking that this game can't get any better, and each week they give us something bigger to salivate over.

How could anyone assume that a combiner is even close to the same league as Metroplex? Doesn't seem right to me.

I wonder if Metroplex is gonna be the game's final boss, like how Trypticon was the last boss in WFC.

Most of what I've read seems to suggest he isn't playable, and that you "control" him via commands from Optimus ?

Either way, looking forward to it !

I've heard that it is "playable", but yes, not in the same way as other characters... possibly using it like a pilot in a fighterjet or tank.
It may be a new dimension to the game, to keep it interesting, and not just a "soldier" wandering around shooting things.
Even though they can transform into vehicles as the big gimmick of TFs games, I think it was something lacking in WFC (and Transformers games in general) in that they don't tend to drive/fly/command vehicles.
The game designers need to ignore worrying about criticism that it would "waste" the conversion gimmick of Transformers, and incorporate more interaction with vehicles... as they are soldiers who just happen to transform, but shouldn't have to rely on that as their only "weapon".

My thoughts too. It may be that the game does not imply Bruticus is the same size as Metroplex, just that both happen to be the "large" characters you can control.

I'd think Metroplex should be able to kick Bruticus like a football. :D

If they do make a toy out of this then let's hope they leave out the electronics and focus on the engineering :)

It looks like at certain bits, you have to command him to bash something. Not exactly 'playing as' Metroplex, but being him would slow and probably boring gameplay. Looks very cool though.

Man it would be ace to have a Generations version! For now though, just gonna stick to my encore.

It would also be ace to have a secret level where you play as Metroplex battling Trypticon or vice versa!

Trypticon would need an upgrade. As big as he is in WFC, he is nowhere near as big as Metroplex!

A special Multiplayer mode where one person plays as Metroplex, and everybody else has to take him down! Also if they allowed for mixed teams, Optimus and Megatron Vs Metroplex.

Oh man, I can't wait for this game!!

I only just discovered Metroplex was in it. Awesome heh. I think I am going to have to preorder it at EB.

looks so cool, can't wait till the game arrives. thinking the same as you Az, will have to pre order it. just hope they do make a toy as they have already made O.P and Jazz and Soundwave.
