EB game Fall of Cybertron Promotion

EB games (https://www.ebgames.com.au/xbox360-155837-Transformers-Fall-of-Cybertron-Xbox-360) pre-order promotion is up for fall of cybertron. I went in today to order it but unfortunately my local store didn't know about the promotion and I didn't get the poster. So best to make sure that they have it in stock before pre-ordering

Looks to be two exclusive items for XBox.
If you pre-order online you get the DLC pack (https://content.ebgames.com.au/website/images/packshots/bonus_transformersfall_dlc_large_v3_360.jpg) (Gen1 Optimus skin, Unlockable FOC Swoop, bonus weapons in armoury, and a Bumblebee Avatar).
But if you pre-order instore, you get a giant A1 poster (8 x A4) of Grimlock taking on Insecticons... plus (I think) the DLC pack.

PS3 has the same offer (https://www.ebgames.com.au/ps3-155839-Transformers-Fall-of-Cybertron-PlayStation-3) except no Bumblebee Avatar in the DLC (https://content.ebgames.com.au/website/images/packshots/bonus_transformersfall_dlc_large_v3_ps3.jpg).

Swoop Unlocked character hey? I hope this means that you can play as all the Dinobots in some way. Even though swoop will just be another jet.

But still the prospect of playing a level as Snarl is pretty cool. Is it too much to ask for Sludge? Squeeee! that would be cool, especially if he is the size of a real Brontosaurus Sorry, Apatosaurus. Guess I am showing my age there :p

Just was in EB games and pre ordered the FOC game and was told that when you come to collect your game you will receive the DLC pack with the A1 poster as well. You just have to remind them of it when you pick it up as they have not received the posters yet.

It seems most retailers still don't have the PC version up fro pre-order- shame, I was looking foward to my poster and pack. I have to enquire bout the PC version being confirmed so I can get the extra goodies.

Its $20 for a poster and $15+ worth of downloadable content you don't get from Ozgameshop.

You could probably get it for $59 when it comes out (or soon after) from JB. But if you want the Downloadable Content it's all about even.

I'm going to preorder from EB because I have a gift card gathering dust.

Sounds great and all but DLC doesn't interest me in the slightest. Besides, I don't see how unlockable characters, skins, avatars, and extra weapons translates to $15 + worth of value when it doesn't even add up to a quarter of the on-disc content.

I'm more interested in what comes with the game rather than what can be downloaded on the street date or in 6 months time. Also, if it sells enough copies, a GOTY version will come out including all content on-disc. For me to consider buying that though, there would have to be enough extras that completely changes the dynamics of the gameplay (which is why I never bothered with MK9 Komplete Edition). To each their own I guess.

I agree that DLC is usually more expensive than its worth in comparison to a whole game (which is why I have not downloaded both WFC download packs which are about $15 each IIRC).

What I was just trying to get across was that it's not $20 for just a poster and it's a good deal if you do want either bonus.

I recently bought WFC for PS3 real cheap to see if I get used to playing it with the controller. That way I will be properly informed on what FOC release to buy when the time comes based on which platform gave me the best gaming experience.

Looks like NZ is getting the same EB-Games bonus content (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/video-games-17/updated-au-nz-transformers-fall-of-cybertron-preorder-bonuses-175679/) as we are getting in Australia (noted in the 3rd post above). Just not sure if they are getting the extra Bumblebee avatar for Xbox like in Australia.

The Americans are noting (rather angrily) that we are getting all the bonus content in one offer, while they have to chose between several retailers to just get one or two items from that pack. But what they don't realise is that we pay more for our games, and we don't have the same amount of competition between retailers here... so if EB Games was the only outlet who wanted a bonus item promotion, then they are likely to get access to everything.
Means less stuff for us to buy later in the PSN/Xbox stores (if you pre-order through EB-Games that is).

I missed the news where G2 Bruticus was included in the Australian EB bonus content but it's good news. I preordered today. :)

Hmmm... maybe it was a late addition, as it wasn't noted on the EB website (the promo image hasn't been updated with it either). I saw the NZ poster in the EB Games store near me today, and it had Gen2 Bruticus on it, so I think it should mean that we get everything unlocked.
I decided to pre-order it instore too, to get the poster... plus, if you want the in-store promo material, ask if they can hold it for you when they are done with it (as the store near me said they would let me have theirs).

Pre-ordering in-store costs $10 (deposit). The person at my nearest store couldn't say how many posters they were getting in, so hopefully it is enough to cover those wanting one.

ALSO, I asked about the game-guide, but it wasn't on their system, so might not be released here. If not, check out book stores, or Amazon or book sites.

IGN has it down for 29th release date here in aus. Same as gamespy.

From what I undertsand the release date was bought forward for the us and uk a week earlier. SO if it was supposed to be released on the 28th for the US and 29th for Aus it could have been bought forward a week to align with the US

I love that text :P though i havent pre ordered this one though. Yeah I only played it once and quickly deleted it so I wouldnt be tempted to repeat it. Finished up darksiders II five minutes ago Just in time for this. Shall be epic.
