No specific details yet... just two words, and the note that they are "yet to be seen".

Microchangers & Microchangers Combiners (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/kre-o-42/new-transformers-kre-o-to-be-revealed-at-san-diego-comic-con-2012-175400/), are said to be revealed at SDCC next week, along with their new Star Trek Kreo line.

If these are new concept sets, they aren't likely to be part of the current Second Series (now being released globally), so are probably our first looks at Series 3.

I honestly doubt they will old timer as the first wave shelf warms every major department store and hit clearance prices that retailers would not be proud of :(

I wonder what the other 2 combiners at launch will be

Devastator
Superion
Defensor
Menasor
Abominus
Computron

Do you think Ha$bro got the point that alot of people only want the Kreons? =oP These do look great, but I fear KP is right on the money. Even though they are slowly disappearing at clearance prices, the stores will be quite wary second time round. If they do end up here though, Ha$bro have near guaranteed themselves double sales by many fans wanting the combiner and combinees on display simultaneously.

Well previous waves have kind of sucked. It's really 'half assed' for you to need to rebuild the robot mode into the vehicle mode and despite that, the robot modes often were kinda mediocre. They should of added some transforming aspect and kept parts forming at a minimum once you built the robot mode.

On the other hand, these combiners are really cool and worth buying. They should have released these first to introduce the line.

I usually go nuts over combiners, but I don't know exactly how I feel towards these?:confused:

+1
I like Kreons.
I like combiner teams.

Not toos ure why these guys don't make me extremely excited. Perhaps it's because they don't look as cute as the first lot of Kreons, or their alt modes look pretty craptacular, or maybe it's because the combined mode doesn't quite manage to pull off the 'cute combiner' look very well.

the Combaticons are ok. I could get them (Where's Blastoff?), but the Predacons need some work I think... It just looks, like a jumble of bits...

Oh my God they're adorable. I wonder why each team is missing a member though, maybe Blast-off and Rampage are individually packed guys?

I imagine the other 2 sets will be Autobots. I'd like Computron but I bet it'll be Superion and Defensor.

Yeah, I also don't understand why there is a missing member but if the price is right, these look like a lot of fun.

Lay the kreon down add some single blocks. boring.

Kreons are okay, and if they blind pack sell them like the lego/megablock figures, I can see them flying off the shelves and leaving the sets to warm for years to come.

I've seen Kreon boxes being opened and TF Kreons stolen. Are these from TF fans or Lego fans?

It is very tempting to take once the boxes are opened/ripped :D

TFW2005 (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/kre-o-42/kre-o-kreon-mini-changers-wave-1-details-175443/)

Entertainment Earth has posted some details of those Kre-O Kreon Mini Changer figures we heard about via MTV Geek earlier this week. Bad news though - these will be blind-bagged. The first assortment comes in a case of 32 and features twelve figures. Six have been named in the listing so far. The six feature a couple of surprises including the first Beast Wars Kre-O! Yes, Hall of Fame Hartman Award winner Waspinator is getting his very own Kreon - along with the one true Emperor of Destruction, Galvatron! The full assortment listing is as follows:

Waspinator
Sunstorm
Spinster
Galvatron
Crankstart
Scorponok

So the Microchangers are blind-packed bags like Lego minifigures, while the Combiners are hopefully released as a "boxed" set, to form the combiner without having to hunt down all the figures.

The Microchangers are scheduled for August, and look like they will be about US$3 each (based on the EA pricing), which will mean about AU$5 if Hasbro releases them here.

BWA HA HA HA HA!

What the hell?

Galvatron looks like he is on a rom-com! And Waspinator is a green Jazz now? Riiiiiii-ght.

I would have preferred non-transforming versions rather than these.

Oh wow.:o

Hasbro finally releases a new G1 Devasator combiner! Not quite what fans wanted though.

Of all of these Dirge looks the best; there's something appealing about all the robot modes.

But I feel stupid for not getting what name Crankstart used to go by.

I... I want them all. I wish they had made at least a couple more head molds to individualise them a bit more. Warpath just looks like Ironhide.

Kreon Airachnid looks better than the Deluxe toy.

I guess he's supposed to be this guy. (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Crankstart)

I wonder if the 5th combiner members can actually join together with the rest of their unit. Also, we're still missing one more Constructicon.

Those insect alt-modes don't look half bad compared to vehicle alt-modes.

I think it's just a matter of time before someone rounds up a whole lot of orange Kreo's and builds a scale model of Autobot City :)

Blink90210

very cute, I could also do without the alt-modes but depending on how difficult they are to get, I don't think I can resist getting a handful, if not the whole set.

I think Hasbro has finally hit the nail on the head with this new round of Kreons, drawing from several iterations of the brand and employing an accessible aesthetic to any age group ; However I feel that the prices that Aussies will likely incur will serve only to off-put many parents, especially if a single Kreon is going to probably cost $5-7 which is sad because I reckon if they were closer to the $3-5 mark they'd go absolutely gang-busters. :o

Time will tell I guess, but I damn want that G1 Scorponok & TF:A Waspinator Kreon! :D

If they price it more than Lego minifigs... they'll only hurt themselves.

griffin
15th July 2012, 01:56 PM
Individual ones are US$3 each, the combiner packs are US$11.
Not sure how that compares to Lego minifigures in America, but that will translate here to about AU$5-6 and AU$20 respectively.

So yes, if they price themselves to be more than Lego, it is only because they (Hasbro) think people will pay more for the "conversion" or combiner gimmicks, and for the "brand". When in fact the general consumers who make up the majority of their sales, will see the prices on the shelf and go for the cheaper *blind packets*, and the "brand" of Lego over a franchise brand.

to those who own the first batches, just a query... Are the Kreons faces and chest designs tampoed or stickers you put on the figure?

I want to say they started at $2 and then Lego raised the price to $3. I thiiiink. So yeah, probably 5 bucks here.

Found the source.
These are wallpapers uploaded at the Hasbro site, and there are 16 in the set, which have been mirrored here (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/kre-o-42/hasbrocom-updates-with-kreon-microchangers-wallpapers-175731/) (plus a link to the source).

Of the 16, 10 are Kreons from the second series Build sets, while the other 6 are the Preview Wave figures.
