Couldnt find the camera thread.

I am using a canon powershot a2200. On the lcd screen the photos a great but when I transfer them they look grainy. Refer to sales thread.

How do I stop this?

Check your ISO settings are low ie ISO100 instead of ISO 800+. The lower they are, the more light you will need but the better the quality will be.
In general for all settings, the more light the better so get a decent lamp setup, sometimes a few around the object!
