I also received the e-mail referred to here. It came from a guy who's known for selling KOs as well as legit TFs. It seems Hasbro itself is involved now which is especially good along with the fact the manufacturer is experiencing financial difficulties. I hope this means it will make it more viable for Takara to re-issue certain G1 TFs that I'd love MISB version of.

EDIT:
links work too. We're back online!

Yea, saw this just before over there, and I did the happy dance. :)

Here's hoping for an encore line expansion to include combiners and dinobots. :)

Fingers crossed that this will lead to reissues of G1's that we've so desperately wanted! :D

I'm a little torn - it will make finding G1 that are not KOs easier, but it will mean that items like Sunstreaker, WJ and Reflector that might have come out harder to obtain.

Fingers crossed for more reissues. Come on TakTom!

This will have a positive flow on effect for potential reissues such as the Dinobots. As the supply of the KOs dries up (and the sellers find themselves unable to actually sell their stock), the demand for genuine reissues will increase. TakaraTomy aren't going to go create oodles of recently KO'd reissues all at once (and Hasbro just follow what TT do), but in time reissues made uneconomical will become more viable for Takara (:

Pity Hasbro didn't seem to care about the half dozen dealers at botcon selling boxed KOs, in the same room as the Hasbro people and their display. People even complained to them about it, and they seemed admitted to knowing they were being sold there, but were very hesitent on what to do about it. I guess they need the legal people there to do the enforcement, or else get sued themselves for harassment or some other American legal crap.
