The Collector Club have released a couple images of three of their upcoming Subscription figures, which have been mirrored here (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/tfcc-subscription-service-scourge-circuit-and-breakdown-sample-image/25596/).

The three shown are Scourge (Classicverse Gen2 Optimus), Circuit (Movie Lockdown), and Breakdown (Classicverse Sideswipe).

Details of the Subscription system is said to be revealed soon.

Don't understand why RID Scourge couldn't have been a normal release :(.

Pardon my noobness, is Circuit another Actionmaster with an adjusted name (like Kick-Over)? Quite like that Lockdown mold, hopefully Circuit's head is more to scale with his body unlike ROTF Axor.

Circuit is Circuit (http://www.tfu.info/1991/Autobot/Circuit/circuit.htm). And he'll have the same head as Axor since G1 Circuit and Axer were the same Action Master mould. Circuit's the only one of these three subscription toys that I have any interest in and that's just because I feel sentimental towards the 1991 toy.

Thanks for the info :) Interesting how an Autobot colour scheme (and big ol' friendly green eyes :p) can make AM Axer into a very generic looking Autobot.

I'm interested in this TFCC Circuit's robot mode, and was originally hoping they'd do something about his axe-arm weapon that's made from rubbery plastic. My Axor's axe weapon never held together well and worked against the wheels rolling smoothly. However since Circuit's going to be a direct repaint, I won't be holding out for much hope there.

It's a straight repaint (http://www.toycollectors.com.au/bc12/bc12cc.html).

Apparently the Collector Club have released an image (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/conventions-15/tfcc-subscription-service-circuit-compared-to-generation-1-circuit-175752/) of their Circuit with the original Actionmaster Circuit, to show how close they got the colourings.

It probably won't be a popular figure among Americans, because it was not a toy released there, and wasn't included in fiction, so there is very little personal exposure to it (plus it has the bright colours that UK Hasbro were dabbling in at that time).
For us though, we were more likely to see it, but the colours and non-convertibility of the toy would have still seen many of us here pass over it for something with better "value".
For me though, this was my first Autobot Actionmaster (second AM, after Treadshot), and at a time when I only had about 25 TFs toys... so like Sky Shadow above, I have a sentimental attachment to this character/toy.

I think they did a really good job colouring the Axor mould, and I'm glad they didn't end up colouring the translucent blue plastic in his head fluro green like in the original media release pics from Botcon. Just incidentally, I had Botcon Turbomaster/Scorch (http://www.seibertron.com/images/toys/files/37/r_turbomaster-071.jpg) sitting next to me when I opened that link and I'm quite sure they're used the exact same yellow/grey coloured plastic and the same orange paint (pic via Seibertron, but orange paint looks much browner in this pic than real life). However, I don't think any amounts of happy-friendly Autobot colours will make this guy any less menacing :p

I've also noticed that BBTS dropped their prices (from $55, to $40) for Circuit and Jackpot, so I'm guessing he's not the only AM that's not too popular in the US? BBTS seemed to have purchased a few more subscriptions because Scourge/Slipstream opened up again yesterday but sold out again today.

I think the collector club will end up doing most of their sales through online stores like BBTS, because they will be able to sell off the sets more easily to the majority of fans who don't want all six... and they can just adjust the prices of each figure, like they do with case assortments (bump up the price of the higher demand ones, to offset the low demand ones).

Very surprised that TFCC went through the option of re-sculpting Jackpot's head when they could have easily done a straight repaint.

It is odd, I would have thought that using that remould option on Ultra Mammoth would make more sense, although I suppose the Big Convoy head is homaging the Optimus Prime head under G1 Magnus's 'helmet'.

That's the only thing stopping me from buying few extra sets for trading - the thought that they might just 'dump' their excess stock through BBTS and I'd be left holding them. That and that there are at least two toys few people will be interested in.

The colours are almost identical to the KO from CHMS (http://chimungmung.com/images/chms_g1_breakdown_h.jpg). There seems to be a straight away noticeable mould differnence in the first two peg holes in his chest - bigger on the FSS version. This KO has been out for a while, I was surprised that BBTS raised FSS Breakdown's price from $55 to $80 - so it must be selling well :)

I'm a bit slow on the uptake - is it possible to get these Club figures individually, or do I have to sign up for the whole run?

I'm only really interested in Scourge and possibly Slipstream.

If you join the club, then you have to get them all. Otherwise through BBTS, or there is an EOI in the sales thread of going though members, but I don't think they're all that popular so, try your luck.

As are most other people Sharky. By the time you buy Scoure, Slipstream, and one other through BBTS (if they are in stock, they keep selling out and coming back periodically), you'd be better to just other through the club and get all 6. If you select the cheapest airmail BUT WITH INSURANCE, its not as bad as the initial courirer prices.

A blue mammoth alt mode doesn't really makes sense, but I'm liking it :)

With that amount of red, it looks like G1 Magnus' colour scheme with DW Magnus' head. It's too bad they didn't go with a resculpted head option like they did with Jackpot.

As a last minute effort to inspire people to buy into the Subscription Scheme, FunPub have posted up two pages from the end of their Dec/Jan Magazine issue. It's from part 6 of this year's comic story, and since they have only released up too part 4 so far, they made sure it doesn't contain any spoilers.
The Club does mention though that next year's story will be in the Mirror Universe... which I guess will help tie into the upcoming Gen1/Ehobby toys.

This chapter of their continues with the (sometimes confusing) plot-device of multiple Universes blending into each other, while a "Nexus" exists to oversee/protect/correct Universes from crossover contamination.
This is how the Collector Club is able to have toy moulds from multiple eras, running around together.

Their news page is here (http://transformersclub.com/), but you can view the two preview pages here (http://transformersclub.com/_images/transtech_1.jpg) and here (http://transformersclub.com/_images/transtech_2.jpg).

You get to see a quick glimpse at Slipstream, Breakdown, Jackpot, and Circuit, as well as next year's membership toy, Depth Charge.

To be perfectly honest, that helps make the set more appealing to me.

I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to pull the trigger on this one. Some I am pretty keen on, some I really like the idea of and a couple I don't really care about.
but i don't know if I could part with any of them after i have received them to recover some of the cost.

They went the way of a big of cheapening on the mould constrcution. Nemesis has the pieces that hold the tongfa on with just a plastic clip style part, whereas Big Convoy has a pin through that area. I think it's the same with the missled launcher parts on his legs as well.

On my Nemesis, those piece are forever falling off and it really grinds my gears. But they are sturdy on Big Convoy. It annoys me so much that it's a deal breker for me.
