Yep Hursti, I am torn between a chance to win this^ and the pre-order bonuses from EB Games. Does it say anywhere how big the HDD on the prize is? I couldn't see it anywhere.

Damn, it's a different poster to the EB one. But doesn't look like it would be too big though... especially if they have to post it to you with the game (it might even be folded up). Perhaps see if pre-ordering at a store gets you the poster, as it will still give you a receipt number for the competition. That way at least, the poster may end up being kept flat/unfolded/undamaged if it was posted.

Which poster is better though?
EB - Grimlock crunching into some Insecticons.
JB - Optimus, Grimlock, Megatron, Shockwave, Starscream.

I'm a bit underwhelmed by both of them actually, as the JB one is just a static posing of those five characters (a battle/action scene would be much more visually interesting), while the EB one is just one Dinobot and some Insecticons.
At least you get the DLC with the EB one, but end up paying an extra $9 for it. (hopefully the extra content costs more than that on the PSN store to make it worth it)

(note - A1 is the size of 8 sheets of A4 equaling about 60cm by 80cm)

The highlighted is the only direct reference to the console that is made, and alas it doesn't mention any specifics about the console beyond its total value & limited nature; $1,000 (Presumably Aussie Dollars) sounds pretty bloody high for a current Gen system IMO, so one would have to assume that it'd be a 'top of the line' model once you consider the licensing required by Hasbro, Activision & High Moon Studios - that's about as much help I can give dude beyond suggesting calling JB-Hifi perhaps? :o

Thanks for the heads up, but I'm not about to buy an x-Box game on the off chance that I might win an X-Box console to play it on:confused:.

I've always been a bit dumbfounded by this kind of competition. If I don't win I have a game I can't play.

I'm guessing you don't have a PS3 then? :o
(I'm sure you've mentioned it but yeah, my memory is great... :p:D)

You do realise that you can win 1 of 3 consoles? So on average, the console would be $333.33 :p

 Um... each of the three consoles is "valued" at $1000, not the total price for the three. The total prize pool is $4,750 (the t-shirts only cost a total of $1,750).

I too am skeptical of the "value" given to those three consoles, as licensed themed skins/casings were being produced by some American company (a couple years ago, so might still be doing them), which wouldn't be more than $50. Are there any Xbox varieties that cost about AU$900? It'd have to be packed with just about every accessory they have available.

Nope, don't have either, I do have a Wii, though the PC gets used a lot more. mainly because if we are home and the missus wants to chill she'll watch the telly, and so I play the Wii on the rare occasion that neither of us wants to watch something on the TV.

With the early reports of FOC not coming out on PC, and the fact that we don't have a Blu-Ray player and our DVR is looking like it's on shaky legs, I have been seriously considering getting a PS3 for the dual purpose of DVR, Blu-Ray player and FOC access. now that FOC is on PC (and I've pre-ordered it through Ozgameshop.com.au for only $40) I'm considering just a dedicated DVR/Blu-ray unit.

Wait, wait - Hold on Griff; I just want "Mr. Top of Maths Class" to take another look at the Terms & Conditions and the specific references to values it gives...

Uh-oh, looks like dopey old "4th in the Class" paid a little bit more attention. :p:D
(I win for a change 1AZRAEL1! :p:D)

I went through nearly the exact situation you are dude; figured I'd kill multiple birds with a single stone in purchasing a PS3 (As I too didn't think we were getting a PC version & also needed a Blu-Ray player), only to be pre-empted by my Father with a standalone Blu-Ray player though I still boughtthe PS3 anyway only to have High Moon announce a PC port...:p

Well, at least I've got a couple of options now I suppose. :p:D
