This has been around before. I thought it was funny but kinda cool. There might come that time in one's life.

Hrm, I seem to recall somewhere mentioning the bid was higher than this.

That's a rather big house... I wonder if he secretly has a wife and kids that he's escaping from too :p

Anyone want to go in on a group buy???

I want the jet ski, the home entertainment system and all of the female friends.

I think the best thing is that since this is posted in the real estate section of ebay, if the $$$ is too low, he does not have to accept the winning bid.

And wouldn't you feel a bit miffed if you were one of his friends? The guy thinks he can just sell your friendship off like some kind of commodity.

I've seen him on TV twice now. He's not selling his friends (selling people is actually illegal and human rights abuse as it's a form of slavery and/or people trafficking: recently a couple were arrested for attempting to sell their baby on eBay (article (http://www.smh.com.au/news/web/parents-attempt-to-sell-baby-on-ebay/2008/05/25/1211653817935.html))) - he's said that he will introduce his friends to the winning bidder: i.e. he will introduce the winner to his friends. Whether anything happens from there is not guaranteed.

He's not really selling his "life." The guy's just been through a divorce and is looking at making a major restart in his life and has decided to sell his home and contents in as a single lot. It's possibly the most extreme form of a lot sale that we've seen on eBay, but that's basically all it is.

A man wants to sell his home and contents on eBay as a single lot. Meh.

yeah gok, i remember a news stating that a couple had unintentionally put their baby up for sale on ebay (just for fun). someone reported it to ebay and the local police were contacted and this couple were later charged for attempting to baby traffi(king)
