Hehe. yeah i did think that about G2 stuff with all their crazy colour but i'm starting come around. I want to dig g2 megatron out just to sit him next to brawl.:p I have a real issue keeping the chest plates on, they just don't seem to grab. only on an original G1 it works:confused: On all the remakes i've had, the plate just falls out.

Gee... even this old dog learns something new.

I did a a search on google images for Bruticus (to help offer an answer), and I was seeing a lot of recent images of Gen1 Bruticus with Brawl having the tank turret at the back (it was always at the front during Gen1, with the toy photos, cartoon and comic). And now I see why... the artwork on the original boxset (http://www.botchthecrab.com/archive/teletran.asp?coat=decepticon&year=1986) and the reissue box (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=TAK10909&mode=retail) always had Brawl backwards.
I never noticed that, and thanks to the recent reissue boxset having Bruticus artwork on the front (which Gen1 Combaticons never did in Western countries), we only ever saw Bruticus as a toy photo... not the artwork with Brawl backwards.

I had a look on the tfu.info website (http://www.tfu.info/1986/Decepticon/Bruticus/bruticus.htm), but even they have their toy photo with Brawl backwards.
So I guess it is an official toy-accurate version if the box-art depicts it... even if it may well just be the error of a single artist 20 years ago.

Basically, it is up to you, how you want it to look on your shelf. If you want a Toy/Comic/Cartoon-accurate appearance, refer to this picture (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Image:Bruticus_toy.jpg), from this page with lots of other pics (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Bruticus_%28G1%29).
Oh, and point Brawl's barrel upwards, like a spiked kneecap.

Also note the other way of having Onslaughts arms. Pointing them out the back will give him a sleeker abdomen, similar to how he appears in comics and cartoons, BUT, those arms can sometimes be unstable (especially if the toy is old and loose)... so often people will have the arms by the sides so that they lock in with the legs.
Again, it can end up being a choice of the collector.

Cheers Griffin. That arm backward trick solved the chest plate not sticking on (i've been doing wrong for years, again:p) I did think the trio was looking mighty blocky..
I always had the turret at the back or the same way round as swindle, it wasn't until i saw some more recent artwork that i swapped it around. It does make the foot sit quite forward though, looks like he's walking..... mental note :turrets up:)

I don't know what's going on over at BBTS (who I generally order everything from) but they don't even have this as a preorder yet although they say they are getting rumble and Ironhide as wave5 AND have beening pushing back my preorder for wave4 for a couple of months now. Got this for $0.90 at a flea market (I needed a Non-TM kup, last one i bought the f***** on ebay didnt send it). Thought the black gun was from Jetfire but it doesnt fit in his hand. Any ideas where it would be from? Dont think the gold guns are TFs but looked close enough so i grabbed them.

:D That and with the box at that size, I wouldn't have really saved much (if any) money on waiting any longer and having the toys sent with the other stuff later. I said that he could send it via EMS if it wasn't going to be much more expensive that SAL, but if it was going to be substantially more expensive, the go with surface. He sent it via EMS (posted on Sunday, arrived today!). So yeah... with Japan post you reach a certain point with package sizes where the law of diminishing returns kicks in and you're not really saving much more money by increasing the size of the box to massive sizes. So I'm glad I got him to send this batch of toys earlier -- the wait was killing me and, as I'd suspected, I wasn't going to really make any further savings on postage anyway. ;)

My first post with what I thought was Skydives gun but then was pointed to a URL showing a different gun may in fact be wrong and right? This is a 100% complete and original G1 Fireflight that arrived today with Breakdown. Look at the gun, 2 barrels... I had expected to recieve another single barrel the same as I had first posted a picture of. After searching MOSC skydive and Fireflight I have found that some pictures are showing these 2 guns being swapped between these figures almost randomly. Is it possible these where swapped in different markets? Eg Euro packaged Fireflight with skydives gun and vice versa. I have both guns but this whole event has confused me to who owns what gun. Even in some comics I came across Fireflight would sometimes have the single barrel and sometimes have the double.

EDIT: Just to confuse you some more, here is a picture on the card backing of Skydive with gun still attached and note that although it is hard to see if you zoom in the gun has 1 barrel and is shaped like the one in my earlier post BUT the cartoon on the card clearly shows 2 barrels.

That sounds about right. :rolleye: I might have a Korean Stampy tech spec card --- but I might be missing one for either Archadis or Mach Kick (cos my Archadis vs Mach Kick Korean set also came w/ tech specs for Stampy, Guiledart, Magmatron, Heinlad...) -- lemme check when I get home, but maybe we can arrange a swap so we both end up with the right tech specs for our Korean toys! :D

Kinda, sorta. The first one I have has a crack in the plastic that I just fixed by gluing it together, plus the white on the chest plate is starting to yellow. So, I got this new one to replace him in the primary display. My old one with brand new spanking reprolabels is now in the secondary G1 display shelf.

This arrived the other day thanks to Trent (thanks mate). Not an original but nearly as good (and much more reasonabley priced) plus he's shiny and new.
He makes Devastator look puny. I love it.

IMO reissue Predaking's better than the original. Reasons include...
1) Die-cast metal -- the vast majority of G1 Preds are plastic. The metal variants are harder to find than hen's teeth.
2) Way cheaper; you're getting a complete set of MISB metal G1 Predacons that retailed for AU$170 -- I don't know how much this set is going for now, but I'd wager it'd still cost way less than what you'd pay for a complete set of MISB metal original G1 Preds. There's a complete loose G1 Predaking on eBay here (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Transformers-G1-Preacons-Predaking-100-Complete-In-Very-Nice-Condition-/180977167710?pt=US_Action_Figures&hash=item2a23146d5e) with a Buy It Now price of US$325! (so just $15 shy of being double the cost of the MISB reissue's RRP) :eek: -- and the auction doesn't seem to mention if it's plastic or metal, but odds are it's plastic.

Nope its a custom made frame which cost me just over $200 :eek: mainly because the size of the print was an odd sizing i couldnt buy one off the shelf :(

Picked up TF Prime Optimus Maximus. It's a good way to display my Cyberverse prime toys but...It's not that great. certainly not a fifty dollar toy at all. Also it's a shame there's not a 'Con version based on Scorponok or Trypticon.
