The colours on Elite Guard BB look so much better which is a pity. It's so much more shinier and alive as opposed to the dull cheap KO yellow of the 1st wave version.

Swoop's pretty cool.

I don't know if it's just me ... but that Bumblebee just doesn't appeal to me at all. It_just_doesn't_look_right. (Woah, now I'm typing like Dirge :D)

Swoop looks like... I don't know? But he sure doesn't make me wanna own him .

I dont mind the repaint of Bumblebee, but one figure of that craptacular mold is enough for me.
However if Wasp were to be released, he would warrant a purchase...

Swoop is plain awesomesauce in robot mode, Dino mode is....interesting.

Cool! Swoop is a dragonfly/chicken/rooster! :D

Bumble bee looks better than the one I saw at the stores today. The paint apps look better than the yellow. Yellow is a bad colour to paint transparent plastic with unless you use a few layers, and they don't.

Swoop reminds me of Beast Machines for all the wrongs reasons. I don't ever want to be reminded of Nightscream.

I remember when Hasbro used to make Transformers that actually turned into stuff, not anorexic paper cranes.

The Bumblebee repaint's colours look to be based on the Gobot Bumblebee. I don't think the colour scheme is any better or worse than the original, but I think the mould is awful anyway so it's not a figure that interests me.

IS that Bumblebee? I thought it was a transforming Ewok.

Swoop's not bad, he might be my token purchase from that wave.

It's actually simpler. Arms becoming wings & legs becoming legs? They did that years ago on such low points as Nightscream

Sorry Swoop - you are staying on the shelf. Love the weapon though. And if I get Snarl. then I might have to get Swoop to round them out.

Sorry, Elite Bee - you look nice in Alt mode but horrible in robot. PASS

I don't know. I like Swoop. There is something about the look of the figure that has me. The only thing I don't like is the bakc of the neck in robot mode. But other then that, this figure looks like it has some style, and I'm down with that

Ah, so you prefer things like grimlock. Stands on his arse and punches with his feet. :D

I'll be getting swoop, and the other dinos. :) Those are the only "sub team" I'll fully collect.

Hey it beats a overly simple limb shift. At least he transforms rather than just crouches down with his arms lifting up as wings.

I'm sorry but I grew tired of TFs whose limbs simply become the limbs in alt mode... back in the BM period. I'd have thought Hasbro would have thought of something creative for Swoop rather than gone down this downright lazy path again :(

I see where you're coming from, but how else could they do it? They'd end up like starscream and have too much undercarriage. Unless you went the shell former route. Pretty much all the bird transformers have done this style of limbs -> limbs.

I suppose they could have an auto morph feature where the arms are ejected from the sides of the main body.......

Well, Transmetal Airazor hid her legs (and torso) within the bird's back. BM Buzzsaw managed decent wings out of his legs. BW Silverbolt (Magnaboss) manages to hide his arms within the tail.

This is what the toy designers are paid to do - find clever ways to conceal stuff like limbs inside the alt mode.

I'd rather a little bit of undercarriage and something creative in the transformation that the lazy effort on Swoop.

I'm not _against_ limbs becoming limbs as such, but I do want to see something clever in the way they're integrated into the beast mode, as is the case with Animated BA's legs. I don't look at the rear legs in spider mode and immediately think "they're the damn robot legs!". There's an inevitability about her spider legs becoming limbs in robot mode, but the designer has made sure they feel right in both modes.

Swoop's legs barely change between modes and the arms sitting awkwardly on the edges of his wings is just plain lazy, and we saw that too many times in BM (and later BW, actually), in the Aaron Archer designed beast modes.

I'm liking the Elite Guard BB because of my dislike of the translucent-ish-ness of the yellow plastic on the current BB, but the black head looks weird. Might grab Elite Guard and just do a head transfer.
