Yup, burned the phones calling to check for stock. :D almost went to campbelltown. Tried to get more for mates but wouldn't sell me more. My mates didn't want to reserve unfortunately. My other mate went to chatswood just when they opened and they wouldn't sell him coz they said toys were still in palettes and unpacking today to put on shelves tomorrow. :( Now sold out. Liars. :mad:

Picked up the Transformers Prime game for 3DS today for a bargain price at the current Big W catalogue.

It's actually not bad so far (just played the opening level). It's more melee based than a shooter and the vehicle mode is used in an interesting way. Not sure if the Wii or Wii U version is different as the screensho0ts on the back of each box was exactly the same but just got more pixelated as the platform power got worse. Only the autobots playable but you get both sides in battle mode.

Robotkingdom got their stock last week, even before BBTS. It was a little more expensive but I wanted Bruticus ASAP, so I cancelled my Amazon order.

Guys like Decepticharge and Ravage were never released here - so we all missed out getting them at local retail. I got Decepticharge from Case Fresh and I found Ravage at a TRU overseas while on honeymoon. I hope you didn't pay too much for them. ;)


Ah, glad i got them guys then.:D. Actually found them on EvilBay fairly cheap, only paid $49 for decepticharge and $60 for ravage, which is fairly cheap as I think I paid around that when we got ours here in retail, buys that's not including shipping from the U.S.:rolleyes:

Too right! - That BM Prime aka Primal Prime is indeed stunning and is one Beast Machines figure I wouldn't mind adding to my collection one day, if I can find one & it's cheap that is! :D


Mate, didn't know that they released him in those colors, would have been awesome if he was released in that scheme for the TM BW version. i have the TM BW primal prime, but i reckon that one would have been a lot better. Sad to say that BM was not a line i collected.:(. Damn wish i had of now, that i have seen that version of Primal.

Beast Machines Primal Prime is a Very nice :cool: (the colors are G1 Optimus Prime inspired) recolor of BW TM Optimal Optimus.He is remolded at the back to have a seperate lights only/not fire the missiles button(see pic).I have been searching on and off for this figure for a while now and am glad to finally have one!! :D

Primal Prime was never released in Australia anyway -- so even if you had collected BM you would've never found it here. We missed out on a lot of BM stuff, presumably because the early stuff shelfwarmed so badly Hasbro Australia might've been afraid that retailers wouldn't show interest for more BM product. So we ended up skipping a lot of the later Beast Machines stuff, like _all_ of Battle For The Spark. Also... it's a nice mould because it's a repaint of a Beast Wars toy. The original Beast Machines moulds weren't made to the same "standard" (for lack of a better word). :)

The chariots are terrible, but the Deployers are six of my favourite Beast Machines toys. The only thing that would have made them better was if each of them had a 5mm post so they could be more easily used as Targetmasters.

You originally mentioned that you only had a short amount of time in Japan but what a weekend it must've been! Amazed at how pristine those boxes look after living in the suitcase for 9 odd hours :)

I was in Japan and Korea for three weeks, but the time spent shopping for toys was super limited, especially going to a store seeing something then back to hotel to research then almost running back to the store before they closed to get chosen items. Then also allowing for space in the suitcases, and any excessive travel ahead of any purchase. It was an amazing trip, and I have to seriously thank my wife for being so supportive of all the spending, but she understood how this was a dream come true :)
Also I have to thank Jetstar, we flew from Cairns to Osaka return. On the day of return to Oz we took the Bullet train from Tokyo to Osaka, all our planning had us getting into the airport three hours before the flight. We were SO wrong, we ended up spriting to the counter with only about 30 minutes until departure, the staff at the counter just smiled and helped us through security and immigration at an amazing pace, no sweat. :)
Also a special thank you to this forum for pointing me in the right direction to find the stores.
