An Asian fansite has managed to get a hold of one, and has posted up pics, which can be seen here (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/inhand-images-takara-tomy-mp12-lambor/25975/).

So small for such an expensive toy :( I hope the engineering makes it worthwhile. :/

To be honest it doesn't look much more engineered than an Alt/BT. But much like those lines the size scale is right in comparison to Prime. imho

Anyone can reccomend where to pre-order this? Totally forgot to do it and Robotkingdom has closed pre-order...

:confused:Is it me or is the centre part of the car a different red to the front and rear of the car? Almost looks like 2/3 of the car is painted in high gloss red and the centre section is just the extruded plastic colour:confused:

Oh my, vehicle the size of a deluxe class? Well, i guess it'll be in scale to MP Op, but sheesh.
Shame there weren't any pictures of him next to Classics Sideswipe.

I don't know why the mp1,2,4 and 5 scale was scrapped (all for saving a few bucks?) Bigger would have appealed more to me as an adult collector..It would be nice if it had some LED headlights or something.
i'll probably still get it...
I'm betting, when the Hasbro version comes out it'll be on a cardback/bubble, hanging on a hook in TRU somewhere

Probably will, unfortunately. I hope it's cheap here though, considering the size. Would make a good classics Sideswipe if it was cheap.

I missed out on the pre-order at Robot Kingdom as well. I was sitting on the fence, undecided. Its ok. Ages ago I did preorder Red Alert from elsewhere, as I prefered him.
The size is underwhelming, but honestly maybe its not just that. Maybe for me the character isnt appealing enough to urge an instant buy. But Ill still get Sideswipe eventually :D

+1. I like the look of it, but I can't justify getting something so small for the amount currently being charged for it.

Actually this picture makes me think that MP Lambor isn't such bad value after all. In that picture the MP looks a good head taller than Henkei Lambor, so approximately Voyager sized. Voyagers sell here for about $50-60, and I paid 4436JPY ($54) for my MP Lambor, so now I actually don't feel so bad. :)

It looks just as engineered as a Universe/Henkei era deluxe.
I guess that is 'premium' nowadays

Didn't Hasbro state something about not being able to secure the Lamborghini license outside of Japan?
If that's true then there's not going to be a Hasbro release.

I remember hearing/reading this also, hence I've not expected a Hasbro release of Lambor at all. :o
I'd really-really love to pick one up but his priority paled in comparison to that of Soundwave & his Minions, I'm hoping that he'll hang around for a while though. :o

I don't think it's that they can't get the license, it's just that they currently don't have the license. Would Hasbro do it to release 1 (maybe 2 if they do Red Alert) toy? I don't know.

I just realised that the price I paid for my MP Lambor was the Amazon exclusive early bird discount price because I preordered it ASAP -- now the preorder price is 7290JPY ($82). :/ But that's the Amazon exclusive version... the RRP for the regular version is 6090JPY ($74) which is about the cost of an Ultra. Expenseeve. :( (glad I got the early bird discount now)
i hate the face... and i really hope its worth the $90 or whatever...
Is that inclusive of shipping? I'm also not fond of the face. Don't hate it per se, but I can't say I like it either. :o

It looks as good as any third party item which people are paying close to that price point vs size. Maybe Has/Tak have taken notice of the third parties and seen the collectors shelling out $60+ for deluxe size figures. Maybe we as collectors can only blame ourselves:rolleyes:

Robot Kingdom have re-opened pre-orders. Probably higher prices than before.
$70 (http://robotkingdom.com/services/eshop/main.php?action=details&CatType=&II=TFTRMP12&lang=us) or $80 (http://robotkingdom.com/services/eshop/main.php?action=details&CatType=&II=TFTRMP12AMA&lang=us) with Amazon pile-drivers.

Definitely higher prices than before. My preorder through RK for MP-12 with the Amazon pile drivers was $63 plus $20 shipping. From memory back when I did preorder there was only about $5 difference between the two options. Either way, both are up.

Mine's already shipped and has already arrived at my mate's place in Japan last Friday. So I technically already have this toy, but it's overseas. :o So hopefully you guys should be getting yours real soon - depending on which method of shipping you opted for.

My Amazon.jp exclusive arrived yesterday. The piledrivers were just thrown in the shipping box in a small money bag.
The box was tiny, a lot smaller that I was expecting but I am happy with the figure itself.

I like all the different shades of red they used on the body, I didn't think they could realistically screw something like that up...

For anyone wanting the silver jackhammers (which were exclusive to Amazon in Japan, and apparently released with the HK version), BBTS has listed a pre-order of legit TakaraTomy jackhammers (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/mp12-lambor-chrome-piledrivers-available-for-preorder-at-bbts/26179/) for US$16 - maybe TT had some left over, or are producing some more for non-JP fans to get them.
