Jetfire in the sky

So on my adventures in Japan amongst the Black Zaraks and Gestalt Giftsets galore I have spotted this apparent rarest of the rare giftset. I use my Japanese and International Alvarez book as a good reference when buying items for plastic colour quality and cool crap that we don't see in Oz much, also HD is awesome, he has some great boxed TF stuff that you don't see much of either.
From what I can see HD doesn't have one of these sets, and Alvarez, although his book is way old now, says at that point he had seen one of these sets. Currently there is one I have found on e-bay at the mo' at over $1000.
So my question isn't about price (otherwise this would be in another thread) it is about personal value, the feeling of having this rare set in your hands, being able to gently open it and look at the coolness inside, yes the figures are relatively easy to pick up loosey goosey, although a good original MIB Skids seems to be getting harder to find thesedays.
Also I want to gauge how rare it is, how many of you on these forums of wise old collectors have one or have seen one.
I have picked up a Goodbye Megatron Giftset on this trip and everytime I hold it I am in total disbelief that I have one, to me that is what collecting G1 is all about, the fine details, looking at this item that was never in Oz or the US. Researching and seeing the variations from the US release, the old styrofoam casing and instructions. Yes it is love for a toy in a box :o
