For anyone who is interested and missed earlier re-issues, I noticed on BBTS that they have listed a number of G1 Re-reissues for pre-order:

Optimus Prime:

Powermaster Optimus Prime:

http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=HAS11326&mode=retail

Ultra Magnus:

http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=HAS11321&mode=retail

Soundwave:

http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=HAS12882&mode=retail

Astrotrain:

http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=HAS12711&mode=retail

I assume these may all turn up at other vendors soon.

I was just looking at the news posting on tfw for that.

They appear to be by Hasbro HK, so will only be directly released to the Asian Hasbro markets (HK, Singapore, China, Taiwan, etc).

Soundwave is already out.
Optimus is slated for release this month.
While the other three (Astrotrain, Magnus, Powermaster Prime w/ Apex Armor) are listed as November release.

The prices at BBTS are pretty shocking though.
Best to source these through Asian dealers or sellers, if you are after any of these.

If these are being remade for Asia, do we know what the status is regarding long/short smokestacks and missiles?

They're pretty comparable to how much TRU were selling them for 10 years ago. I remember buying Astrotrain for $20 from Kmart though; that was probably my collecting highlight for that year.

I'll have to try and get myself an Ultra Magnus, be cheaper than trying to get the last few parts for my older one.

Comparing to TRU Australia prices makes scalpers look cheap. :p

Yeah, the Astrotrain was definitely an exception as it wasn't at TRU, but the TRU prices in Australia were way up on what they should have been (compared to what they were in America and Asia). So compared to what they were at TRU America in 2002, the BBTS prices are about double that.
Robotkingom will be as bad, so the real test of how much these should be priced at will come from other Asian sources or ebay.

As someone who damn-well needs a G1 Astrotrain and has always wanted a God Ginrai (And hates it every time Goki mentions that they were discounted down to $20 due to shelf-warming :p) - You can colour this little black duck interested!:D

I have the Soundwave. Slightly different colour scheme with orangey gold chrome on the rim of the door and the arrow thing. Good toy. I might get astrotrain if it slimly is in g1 accurate coloyrs. Just saying with all the slight redecos and all.

Also, short smoke stacks as well as laserbeaks booster guns being shorter. Springs are removed. I have pics of Soundwave on my flickr page. It's also bidoofdude.

The new reissue Optimus has been shown in packaging (http://www.seibertron.com/news/view.php?id=26107), with minimal differences to the previous reissue... probably not as pink though.
