Hey guys, i picked up a loose blue legged browning a little while back fairly cheap. He had some chrome wear so i thought i would give this bare metal stuff a go. Here are the results

Its not easy to get perfect, but if you go slow and careful it can be done quite easily. Best of all, you can just peel it off if you dont like it and your back to the start

Nice!:)
Some questions:
1. You said you can peel it off if you get it wrong - can you re-use it once peeled off? Will it come off easily with general play/transformation? (possibly hard to answer if you've only just done it...:))
2. Did you need to take the model apart at all? how did you manage hard-to-reach areas? Or is it best just for open, "visible" areas?
3. Does it work equally well with large areas and smaller areas?
4. How does it manage small details in the plastic?
5. I'm guessing you got it at a hobby shop or similar. If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost? How much do you get in a pack?
The results look pretty good! I may try it out myself.

Hey mate
1. I guess you could, it may loose its stickiness a bit and th corners may crease a bit from peeling it off.
2. Nah i didnt need to take it apart, just do it in small sections, stick it over them trim excess with hobby knife
3. It works best with flat areas, small areas you may get some creasing.
4. the detail pretty much all shows through, just need to go over it with a wet cottom tip to pressis firmly down
5. Ebay! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bare-Metal-Foil-Chrome-Give-model-Realistic-Look/281011920399?ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1&ih=018&category=2594&cmd=ViewItem

Nice results, theshape. How much Bare-Metal do you get in one pack? I was thinking giving my Legends Megatron (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Megatron_%28G1%29/toys#Transformers_.282010.29) a new shine (just a thought bubble at the moment). Or maybe liven up the blasters on my RID Prime Bumblebee (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Bumblebee_%28Prime%29#Prime).

The "Before" photo isn't showing up for me (to see what was fixed)... is it just me?

Never mind, it works on Explorer, just not on Firefox for me - I wasn't getting anything showing up between the words "Before" and "After". It's just blank (even when I quote or look at the edit screen)
Really weird that, as the other three images show up on Firefox (and you'd think between the two, Explorer wouldn't be the one that works better... which is why I stopped using it).
It's hard to tell on the photos - is it obvious that it is different in person?
