Hello everyone,
I have just received an email from the club saying that they are producing a trade paperback.

I hope that all of you are having a great holiday season so far!

We are creating some collected volume trade paperbacks featuring past year's stories and wanted to let you know about the very limited availability (only 500 copies) of our first issue:

Transformers Collectors' Club Magazine Collected Edition Volume 1.

This LIMITED EDITION collected volume will contain Issues 1-6 of the TCC Newsletter from 2005. The six bound newsletters will also feature a great new cover by artist Robby Musso. The perfect way to catch up on the fiction from the TCC and to have all the info from 2005 at your fingertips.

100 pgs, FC, $19.99

Available for pre-order until 12-17-12 TransformersClub.com/shop

If anyone from Sydney/NSW is interested I can probably order a few, I'm not sure if I'm going to grab one for myself yet or not. I am trying to figure out if it's the comic story collected or the entire magazine collected. I guess the bios would be cool to have.

it does feel like a bit of a cash crab.

EDIT:
Currently, I have decided to pass on this,

I'm still happy to order on others behalf,

I will order Monday night the 3rd of December please show interest by Sunday night.
I have not looked into shipping yet, it will be on top of the $20 charge for the book. I will look at it over the weekend and see what the charge is going to be, it may be prohibitive.

Also pre-orderable (https://www.toyarama.com/store/-pre-order-transformers-collectors-club-magazine-collected-edition-volume-1-1-pc-p396.php)

From the page count and description it's the entire club magazine #1-6, not just the comic.

They actually released a collection of the comic from the first 12 issues of the club magazine several years (called "Balancing Act").

When I saw I was hoping it would be a collection of the next set of strips. That I would buy, collection of the entire magazine? No.

I was excited about that too, until I saw it was all the magazines. Who wants something years old with no relevant information in it anyway?

Knowing the club they'll be direct reprints so you'll have to flip through 20 pages to read a couple of comic pages, then repeat.

yea, I've re-read it now, and agree, it's the entire magazine, would need to be to get to 100 pages in a year.

I wonder if they are printing these or re-binding old stock they can't sell:D

If it was $10 and the comics and bios only, maybe with a collection of interviews in the back, I'd be more interested.

They can't even sell the left-over copies from the last seven years... and they hope people will buy a compilation???

I'm a comic completist, and would have definitely bought it if it were a trade or collected comic (like IDW did of the same material published as 'Balancing Act'). But it sounds like just a bound copy of their old newsletter stock :(

Grrr.......

this seems like a large waste of time and paper they should just make the back issues avaliable for free in digital format (okay so only memberes can acess them perhaps) and maybe just release the comics and bios if they feel the need... but out dated news and interviews..........

each to their own i guess

I've just checked shipping, and it says that to organise first class mail international on magazines we can contact them directly by email. no other items can be shipped using that method. I'm not sure if this applies. if it does shipping will probably be around $10. otherwise the cheapest shipping option is $37.95:eek:

If your the only taker Paul, it might not be worth your money if I can't get the First Class mail international option sorted.

If you aren't desperate, maybe wait for it to show up on ebay, or see if I can get copies at BotCon next year (I cant imagine they'd sell out)... if I go next year. That would at least save expensive international shipping.

Am I the only one cynical enough to think they have 500 old copies of the newsletter lying around that they're binding together in the hope that they might actually sell? The first six newsletters are awful illiterate outdated junk anyway, and the comic strip (such as it is) has already been reprinted. I don't understand why anyone would buy this.

Not at all ;) Consider us 3.

I'd just like to make it clear though that the magazine is illiterate outdated junk even now:D

I'm curious to know now, if the normal editions of the magazine that were hanging around are suddenly disappearing and being Transformed into this paperback? Be interesting if we could monitor those stock levels somehow :D
