Outa the blue, the 2010 (golden) Predacon reissue set (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=9564) that was part of the 2010 commemoration set of toys, is apparently being reissued this month. (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/generation-1-1/g1-predaking-2010-boxed-set-gets-a-second-release-176449/)

BBTS are listing it for US$225.

TakaraTomy are probably cashing in on the upcoming Predaking character by releasing a recent Predaking toy.

hmmm, why so pricy? The first reissue didnt have more than $200 on it's price tag - that is more of secondary market value...strange.

Does that BBTS price represent the actual RRP for this toy though?

Because the RRPs for the previous Predaking reissues were:
2004 reissue = 14000JPY = $163
2010 reissue = 15750JPY = $184

...unless each subsequent reissue of Predaking keeps getting more expensive by $20-odd. :(

Little bit of a shame about price. I really want a Predaking too (he looks so awwwwesome)

Dumb price considering it's easily available on the secondary market for under $200...

I think it might also have something to do with this (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=14972).

Agree with everyone else regarding the price. Doesn't make any sense when you can buy the initial release cheaper (for now).
