OK, here's the deal - if you had to select one or two (max) Transformers that are currently available at Australian retail, which ones would you buy?

Oh, and you have a budget so no MP Optimus, TC, or most Leader class toys. Think Voyager or smaller.

FOC Soundwave and some disks for him. Ravage and Rumble.

FOC Soundwave with the datadisc packs would be my option. There's just so little out there unless you manage to get lucky with old stuck.

Or Prime Legion/Cyberverse toys and playsets.

OK, so it appears as though FOC Soundwave is the pick of a very lousy bunch :p Gotta say I'm surprised that no one has mentioned TF:Prime Wheeljack yet. Been hearing nothing but good things about that toy.

I've just picked up this thread,
the first thing that came to mind was Prime Wheeljack. followed by soundwave, Ratchet.

If you can find it, I really like the Prime deluxe Hotshot, it's a good mold and quite fun to transform back and forth. also the vehicon.
all good toys in my opinion.

Well for me most of my Prime toys end up as Classics, and I already have a Wheeljack, and truthfully prefer all the other colours mould comes in. So, yeah, didn't even cross my mind.

Actually if the person is into the FOC game, then I'd also recommend the Shockwave, prime or Jazz, they are fairly simple but they are good representations of the characters.

If you can find it, I really like the Prime deluxe Hotshot, it's a good mold and quite fun to transform back and forth.
Eehhh... personally I can't really justify getting a repaint/retool of FE Bumblebee (not with so many toys coming up that I'm saving up for :p). I can certainly see the merit as a gift idea though -- objectively speaking I think the mould and colours look better than Bumblebee. Did they fix the problem with that lower breast panel? (the one under the headlight - really stiff on Bumblebee and is nigh impossible to separate)

Oh I was just thinking, if the recipient is into lego type stuff, maybe a Kre-O Transformer? You can still find them on clearance at Toyworld (and maybe other places as well I'm not sure), and would keep the person busy for a while. :D
