Anyone on here collect these little guys? I'm collecting the Beastformers (battle beasts in USA/Aus/NZ) but not really after the newer Saga Beasts from Takara.

I had heaps of figurines, the Battling Deer Stalker chariot and the Blazing Eagle playset as a kid (all from the Hasbro line).
They must be packed away in a box somewhere; otherwise, I'd be selling some of them.
I have the Beast Saga Raioga figure (the lion guy), but stopped short of getting anything else as the playsets and vehicles look nothing like their vintage counterparts, and don't appeal to me.

I used to have the rabbit and the... something else I forget. All I have now is "White Leo". Not really a collector of these things though. Now we have BotShots. :p

Same here the Beast Saga figures look a bit too blocky for me. I havn't really looked into them in greal though. If you ever come across your old ones let me know - need a Deer Stalker chariot! :D

There is a loose Deer Stalker Chariot (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150969018355) on eBay for AUD22 BIN. It seems to be in a decent condition too.
BTW, if anyone knows of any gumball SD Beastformer for sale at a decent price, please let me know. The few I've seen online cost way too much at over AUD50ea.

Nice Beast collection there, Geigerrock. Too bad the new Beast Saga figures aren't the same size as the vintage Battle Beasts. Otherwise, we'd be able to better pose them with the old vehicles and playsets.

heh I dont even know what Botshots are
http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Bot_Shots
They work on the same core principle as Battle Beastformers in that it's essentially rock-paper-scissors, but more complex in the following ways:
+ Whereas Battle Beasts' "weapon" is pre-determined by their rub sign (and cannot be changed), Bot Shots can. Their chest simple rotates so you can pre-set it as either blaster, sword or fist.
+ Bot Shots are transformable. You're meant to slam them into each other in vehicle mode, which triggers an automatic transformation to robot mode. Each player looks at what the other player has selected on their toy's chest and victory is determined according to what was selected.
+ Bot Shots also have Attack Strength ratings, which prevents ties. So for example if you've selected "Gun" on your toy and I've done the same, we then look at the Attack Strength -- if say your toy's rating is 390 and mine is 380, then you win.
+ Some toys come with launchers - like the Optimus Prime w/ trailer (the trailer is a battle station and launcher).
+ There are chase variants of certain toys; and rather than being just repaints, they have superior Attack Strength ratings. e.g. Super Bot 001 is a repaint of Sentinel Prime, but his stats are higher (so the chase variant will always win any potential tie).

Luv the artwork style on the front of both Beastformer boxes. The blending of the organic and technological also make them unusual for G1 box art. I especially like the jungle backdrop used on both boxes. If only there are official Beastformer prints/posters.

Yeah they are quite unique. It would have been cool if they were packaged with a transformer from the headmaster line. Would have given the line some more exposure.
There are the official posters - three different versions - that show all the different beasts. The japanese one is on ebay now but way overpriced unfortunatly for me :(
Here is a scan of the original artwork that Hasbro used on the aladdin lunchboxes.

I really like all the artwork too. i have a very vague memory of my one BBeast from childhood. (a deer with the power of.....drumroll...wood!!. a power i still have today)
I may need to try and track down a boxed vehicle for the collection...and that base looks damned sweet! but the prices of even just the carded figures on ebay scares me

Thanks for posting the pictures, Skullcruncher. After seeing these, I thought I'd get a modern Beast Saga vehicle despite not liking them as much as the vintage chariots, but just found out after watching a Youtube review that the mainline Beast Saga figures are too big to fit into the new vehicles. :(
The vehicles will only fit the included mini beasts, which are much smaller than the mainline figures. With Beast Saga, it seems like TOMY is focusing on the gameplay element (which i've no interest in) rather than the playability of the beast figures by providing them with decent vehicles and playsets.

huh thats a odd, you would think they would be made big enough for the standard figures or maybe have seperate vehicles specifically for them.
I don't really understand the role-playing element of BB's I just like the figures :D

Here is a pic of my mate Paul's Battlebeasts collection. He only started a few years ago about the same time i got back into transformers and other cartoons/toys from our childhood. He had some of these as a kid and is now trying to collect all the series with weapons!
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u229/spiderken17/P2140001_zpsec8a5693.jpg
The tiered display he found on the internet cheap (i think postage was more than the item). I reckon its a good way to display them, especially in an ikea cabinet so the shelf does not look empty because it gives them some height.
He gave me a Blitzkrieg Bat and Deer Stalker as they were the ones i remembered friends having when we were kids. They are also the best two as far as i am concerned.
As a side note if anyone has any weapons or ones that are not pictured they would like to offload he would be interested in selling/swapping as he has quite a few doubles.
Cool would be great to see - maybe even ask him to join the site!
I'm working on it! :)

Probably common knowledge but i found this to be an easy way to repair the arms if you still have them. ...
1st, dig out the old stump... bin it .. screw in screw to arm (check it's going to be about the right size head)..
insert head of screw into arm socket... voila!..
Maintain articulation (sometimes better than before)
