Youtube MP-13 Soundwave review

He is a must have for me, but I don't know if Hasbro will make one because I'd might rather get the Hasbro version.
I still haven't pre-ordered mine though, does anyone know where I can get it for a good price because BBTS and Tfsource seems over priced.:confused:

I'll wait for an eventual (hopefully) Hasbro release, seeing as it's a teeny bit out of my budget. He looks EXTREMELY nice and I am so envious of you guys.:o:D

Ok, I saw it before it was private and I'll sum it up:
Pros:
Waist-up is beautiful
Laserbeak in general
Energon cube very good fit
Feet can be placed in any leaning position
Shoulder Cannon folds into the back of the toy, as both battery things store on the back outside of the toy.
Like MP-08, toy is more of a refinement of its original transformation, which makes a good homage to the original.
Tape door can open and his arm looks good when pressing it, as there are MANY joints in the arm to do so.

How feet are attached: (foot is =. Joint connecting foot to leg is backslashes, leg is indicated.)

Cons:
Legs cannot rotate back, only forward
Feet cannot pivot/rotate around

As illustrated, there is a joint connecting the foot to the side/bottom of the leg, which means it can go in a variety of leaning poses(pro). But, this means it cannot rotate for more elegant poses.(con)

General Info:
Tape player mode is about and inch longer, double as thick and about half and inch taller than the original. Tape door is the same size.
Robot mode is about a head shorter than MP-10 and is about as tall as MP-08's dino mode.
Can hold up to 3 cassetticons, with a spring loaded part which locks at three different points to hold up to the 3 in any configuration.
Can fit G1 cassettes inside.
Laserbeak in bird mode is substantially larger than his G1 counterpart.
Tapes are same size as G1.

IIRC I thought MP Laser was smaller than G1. Damn I wish the vid was still up so I could rewatch it. I love the detail and how they incorporated laserbeaks backpack into the cassette

IMO as I saw him, he seemed to be quite a bit thinner, yet taller and a tiny bit wider wingspan than the G1. Each to their own, I guess.

I saw the review before it was made private and I'd have to agree with the reviewer in that the hip 'ball joint' could have been done a lot better. Overall though, I'm very happy with it and can't wait to receive mine in the next couple of weeks.

Didn't bother with the Video Review; though the poor reviewer copped a bit of a flogging internationally, I've chosen to avoid it because I want to enjoy the journey of transforming the single greatest Transformer ever made unspoiled. :cool:

I did however stare at all the utterly delightful photos, over at Seibertron.com (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/extensive-pictorial-review-of-takara-tomy-transformers-masterpiece-mp13-soundwave-with-laserbeak/26604/), though for a good hour today. :p:D

I've been waiting 214 days & counting (Preordered on June 24th) for my Japanese Amazon Exclusive MP-13 Masterpiece Soundwave to ship from good old RobotKingdom, though I've only learnt of the Asian Market exclusive collector coin today - So I hope that RK will find it in their hearts to generously throw said divine currency in with my order (Should they have a large enough supply). ;)

I truly am psyched for the arrival of this perfected effigy, he really can't arrive soon enough! :o

Both sadly. :o

It started with a couple of people giving some constructive advise about some visual abnormalities that had occurred in the video, but which quickly turned into a slagfest. :(
At that point he decided to take the video down (RE: Privatise) so that he could fix the issues people had brought up about it, only to then cop criticism for having taken it down. :confused:
Most of these complainers were only doing so because they couldn't be bothered to read a couple of pages back for a reason as to why they couldn't view it :rolleyes:, but I believe it is back up now & minus any visual issues. ;):)
