Free 3D character modelling software

Hi all, for those of you who are into 3D and CGI stuff, Daz Studios is doing a free deal on their DAZ Studio 4.5 Pro application:

You need to register (for free), but once you do, you login and can download the application as well as a starter pack.

Is it good for TFs?

It's more mainly geared towards modelling humanoid type characters (i.e. not robots / mechs). That said, I don't know much about the software yet...
