Hey guys Really wanted some advice...

So got a great holy grail figure Zone leader Dai Atlas!:) For quite a good price!

The figure looks great but the box which was said to be "C9" I don't really expect that... However it has arrived with the window badly broken. :(

What is fair to ask for or should I take it on the chin???

Thanks guys

Your call but if you got it at a good price i reckon you should take it out of the box and put on display.

If it's just the window it might be possible to change the plastic if you can get a big enough piece. I've done it once before using the stuff they use for overhead projectors.. but a4 was the biggest piece i could find handy.. i guess it comes in bigger sizes..
also the one i fixed, the plastic was falling off. it might be harder to do if it's still glued on well..

I'd let the seller know exactly what the issue is and see what their response is. They may offer you compensation in the form of a part refund, or an exchange/return. It really depends on if the box condition matters to you, for example if you bought it MISB/MIB on purpose then obviously you'd have more of a reason to want the C9 box as stated in their description, plus you have the right to dispute an item if it's not exactly as described. However, if you don't care about the box's condition then it's probably not worth pursuing the matter further. Do you know if it was damaged through the post or due to poor packaging? Either way, I'd still let the seller know. If their reputable they will want to keep their customers happy, and you'll have a better idea of what your options are after talking to the seller.

Thanks guys! I did send pics to the seller and they were very quick to offer a refund to the sound of 13%. Which I was quite happy to accept!

I can see what has happened the box didn't have tie downs in those days and the toy has rocked forward in the shipping process (ruff as guts!) cracking the 23 year old window! Doh

It's just nice to get what you pay for. Unfortunately these things do happen and it wasn't badly packed just bad luck.

It is still a holy grail item for me and will be displayed with pride.

err how do you post a pic? (noob alert)

try using a hosting site (e.g. photobucket). Upload your pic there and the use the image link for each pic you upload there - they have links provided for each pic you upload - html, image, etc - its as simple as copy and paste of the link. Just clicking on the link they provide automatically initiates a copy command which then you just right clik back to the reply box here when posting a reply in the thread and paste it. You do need to set up a photobucket account though - it's free anyways. Hope this helps.

I was gonna echo in what Tets said - pics pls hehehe - when you get the chance.

And congrats on getting a Grail figure :D:D:D
