Just had a better look at Han, I think the sculpt is actually way off. It doesn't look like ford much at all. Disappointing however I'm kind of glad in a way. That's $600 I won't be spending on the two and $600 in my back pocket haha

well the gun have ammo cartridges and can slide ,and the big gun can compact together , so they all have moving parts. i like how they include two heads...one with the face and an empty cowl one so you have the option of displaying the suit or the full figure.

Had the opportunity to pick up Cap America Stealth suit for 230AUD while i was in HK. I couldnt do it knowing the the suit restricts articulation so badly.

I know there was (and to an extent, still is) debate in 1:6 collectors' circles as to how accurate the Harrison Ford likeness is on this figure, but I'm pretty happy with it. The production version looks that little bit better than the prototype.

You could say the hair is too dark (Ford had lighter hair on-screen), but it's actually pretty close to the darker hair Ford had in some publicity photos, which is probably what Hot Toys were using as reference material.


How much 'futzing' did you have to do to chewie?��

Not much. I just ran my hands up the arms and legs to loosen up the hair a bit, since it was a bit matted. I haven't done much to the hair on the head, but I know other owners have loosened up the hair to give him a look closer to his appearance in The Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi.

My only criticism of Chewie is that I think the hair on the face is too dark.

So by sheer luck, I was browsing through a collectibles/pop culture store in Perth when my eyes fell upon the Hot Toys 1/4 scale Terminator Endoskeleton released back in December 2013.

It was 30% off which brought it down to $385. Considering they're going for upwards of 1k on ebay/Amazon, this is probably one of the best scores I've ever made.

The detail is amazing and the chrome finish is perfect. If I was ever going to own a Hot Toys piece, this would be it.

Hope you enjoy your Rey! I was seriously looking at that piece (and I believe she comes with a bonus lightsabre now!) because she is my favourite character from The Force Awakens. But ultimately I fell in love with the above :) I've never purchased from the store you've linked, but having a brick and mortar store presence gives me greater confidence and the fact that they're not asking for a full deposit is also a plus. If I hadn't already bought my Endoskeleton, I'd be seriously considering that store for a Hot Toys purchase.

hey bro.... you should just go for the first one that you like .... as that the one you usually think about the most ....
Also it just depends on how you like your figures...
if you play with them then i do not suggest you get an Hot toys...
But from my experience with HT ironman and i got a few and custom them as well , it very well detailed but the articulation is pretty bad and is very fragile. I recommend the diecast ones better .

Anybody selling or know of places selling Hot Toys figures? Looking to pick up some of the older Star Wars ones that aren't available anymore like Luke, Leia, Vader, Bobba Fett etc but don't want to pay way over the top.

Try this place. They have an actual physical store in Melbs you can check out as well. The prices seem slightly cheaper plus you don't have to pay a full preorder deposit unlike other places. I've never bought anything from them but the one email I sent to them about a Darth Vader preorder was answered the same day.

There is also the Zing pop culture stores but they are more expensive at rrp.

Games-world is another store selling Hot Toys and I notice they have a few stores in Victoria. They're a well known chain here in WA. I like how their website has actual stock numbers.

Older figs may be better off joining some local FB groups like "one sixth Australia" or "hot toys buy and sell Australia" as members there always selling and likely some at pricing that suits you

Are there any retailers in Australia that are known to be fast with getting new stock? I'm considering a 1/6 Alita, but I don't want to pay in advance for a figure that won't arrive until six months after release date...

Popcultcha aren't quick but you don't have to pay all before release as you can do $100 deposit and pay the rest when they get stock in.

Hot Toys are crazy hard to get reliably from Aussie based retailers. I’d go with the bigger companies like Popcultcha or Zing who have the better access to the distributors and are more likely to get it sooner.

Not sure where other retailers get their HTs from but believe Pop gets them from the local distributor. In terms of release times, Hong Kong gets stock first then followed by Sideshow then locally in Aus. If you would like it sooner then Sideshow is an option but it's quite pricey these days to buy from them given our dollar, the addition of GST and their expensive shipping. All in all, it's a nice looking fig :)

They're (really) slow but TLTC are 3 from 3 for me. Basically I just forgot about them and when they showed up it was a nice surprise :D
Straight from Hong Kong would be the quickest but I personally can't recommend any seller.

Gamblor, I just can't cope like that. After the whole Premium Collectables ordeal, I just get more and more anxious the longer an expensive order takes.

Even companies like Bandai should not be listing items over six months ahead. I think is a cash grab and I know this is a hard thing to say but we could get into accidents and die without even seeing the toy. I for one feel customers are taken for a ride and in many ways being bullied. Is sad that sometimes the Fandom don't see the issue and ONLY care about ordering and securing a toy.

Lets be very realistic, Cars, houses are big items, requires a Signature.
Are you seriously thinking THIS is the correct direction for Pre order for toys? You know six months away is a huge jump in time right? You can predict life and death? So my money should have been in the bank collecting interest.

What about Fantoys Berserk? You think a company would be more responsible to say they canned the production? And heres the thing its been over two years, ANYONE who deposit anything you cant claim a cent back? IS THIS FAIR?

Hate to say it, please stop making excuses to support unethical practices. We let fandom overtook what is right.
