Just saw on Facebook beast hunters Abominus, apparently a cyberverse combiner and exculsive to Target in the US

Pic here (http://www.tfg2.com/read.php?tid-44037.html#info). Looks cool. I'll be getting this.

Must have it!, hope he is in the show because he is my favourite combiner!:D

Yep, looks great. :)

Hopefully he is a major character and we get a proper deluxe gestalt. Which would probably affect the likelihood of a 3P Abominus...

I do like the beast modes, very evocative of the original figures. Robot modes are ok, gotta see better pictures.

Yes, must get. Hopefully a deluxe size will be out sometime.

HUN-GURR! YES! Finally, my first ever Decepticon! Really hope there are deluxe/voyager sized figures coming, even just of him, or if they don't combine,

Only problem I have with Hun-Gurr is he looks kinda fat, but oh well.

They changed Cutthroat Sinnertwin and Blots names

This must be the Legion 5-pack that was mentioned at the UK Toyfair.

Note that it is "existing tooling with new character decos", and we already know two of the toys are being released in the main line (Twinstrike & Hun-gurr)... so we should see all five released at stores individually for us to build Abominus, but the 5-pack will allow people to get the whole set easily. (with some different decos)

I don't mind if these are only Cyberverse Legion size. I'm happy if Hasbro makes more combiners that size. I liked ROTF legend sized Devastator (and I would have liked the PCC combiners if their limbs weren't drones).

They changed Cutthroat Sinnertwin and Blots names

Yep, but that's very common and to be expected really. The replacement names are fairly good choices though.

I am still missing Blot from my G1 Terrorcons (I refuse to pay $40 on ebay for him and it's the only place I have seen him complete) so at this rate I will complete the new Abominus before the G1 one :p

Seibertron also has an article about it here:

This is very interesting, excited at the prospect of another potential deluxe combiner set, and interested to see if this combiner will turn up in the show...

Will have a hard time resisting the cyberverse set, even if they aren't in the show.

Individually they look awesome in both Bot & Alt modes, however, once again the combined mode looks OK from the waist-down only. :(
I'll hopefully grab a set of these guys (Singularly or Giftset, which ever is easiest) but with the same thought in mind that I had when getting G2 FoC Bruticus: For the individuals only.

And nothings stopping you from referring to them by their original names if you choose to get them.;)

If they end up looking mostly like these mockups/models, then it'll be one nice looking figure. Balance issues will be a plenty with arms that large and thighs that small!

Combined mode is iffy at best, but the individual beast modes aren't to bad. I do wish Commander class toys were the same size as the scouts of old though.

Combined mode would be fine if they would just go back to a Voyager size for the body bot:rolleyes:

Bidoofdude

A bit small but it would make a nice classics Abominus.;)

Quickstrike
6th February 2013, 08:53 PM
Oh wow, they look great individually. Abominus does have the same problem Generations Bruticus has though - if you're doing a G1 style of combiner, the middle guy really needs to be bigger than the others. Or make a 6th guy to be part of the torso. Like Blip! :D

Gouki
6th February 2013, 09:16 PM
I know it wouldn't happen, because Hasbro wants to keep Cyberverse as it's own thing (and I'm all for that, increase the size of them (or drop the price) just a bit and make that your TF line and I'm sold; playsets and all), but even a small Deluxe (FOC Optimus sort of size) sized Hun-Grr would be great for the torso if the rest are in Cyberverse commander size.

Seems ok from those pics. Looks to be an improvement over FOC Bruticus. Will wait for better pictures before I make up my mind though.

I do like combiners though. :D

Looks good, much better than any Hasbro combiner we have seen in the last few years. However it still suffers from lame PCC proportions. The guy who insists on that style should be fired.

Summary: Individual bots looks nice.
Combiner: Looks ass.

Oo! thi is some nice news indeed. I hope the regular release ones aren't douchey colours. I like these guys in their (semi) g1 colours.

I thought if the Terrorcons made a post G1 appearance a few changes would happen to them. I'd say that Sinnertwin and Cutthroat names sound a bit too nasty nowadays. And I will bet $100 that Rippersnapper's function won't be a Terrorist anymore...

Still, I hope a deluxe version comes out, with a biggerr Hungrr too. Although they look all right in general, he lacks hands... Acceptable for Abominus, but if you are going to give him claws instead, at least make them reasonably proportioned.

Yep, but if Windrazor was a deluxe the transformation would be the same, but you'd be paying 3 times (or more) the price for it.

I wasn't going to get any of the Beast Hunters Predacons because I'm over stand up the animal transformations. But at legion size that's fine. These would be a nice G1 homage set already and then you throw in combining and I'm won over.

I don't prefer Legions/Cyberverse, but if this is what it takes to make way for a Deluxe combiner, then I'm supporting it :) To be honest, I wouldn't mind the old Energon proportions - Deluxe leader, and 4 Scout sized limbs. I guess the best aspect of a Cyberverse set is that the combined mode will be relatively lightweight and should make it more playable.

Blight will be Blot, but where is his nose?! He can't be a nose-monster without an ample nose!

We do have to give them some leeway, seeing how this is an un-unofficial combiner :p

I am actually beginning to see Un-unofficial toys as some sort of handicap.

Once upon a time we would say something like 'Oh that's ok we should give it some leeway, it's just a fan made custom'.

Nowadays we are giving leeway because it's an official toy? How the tables have turned!

It looks to be released in the states some time in Fall, in target stores. Which works well for me seeing as I'll be in LA in November

Which is our Spring-time... a loooong way away to get all excited about a toy. :(
(by then though, the five individual toys should have been released in the main line)

I was going to hold out for the five pack because I was worried about tracking down the last limb from a "will it be released" wave (burnt by the Energon limbs and the non-appearance of the later Prime waves).

Then I saw in the BBTS email that all four "limbs" are in Wave 3, so it shouldn't be too impossible to get them individually.

You'd think that wouldn't you. But I have trolled the shops around here and found nothing. The shops that ARE getting Beast Hunters stuff aren't getting the legion packs.

So rather than go through this for all five of the Terrorcons, I'll just get the 5 pack.

Speaking of which, will Australia see the 5 pack?

I've seen a couple Twinstrike around. I don't like waiting though...:p;)

griffin
29th March 2013, 02:33 AM
Wave 3 doesn't sound like much of a wait... but then, we didn't get to Wave 3 (or 4, or 5 even) of the Prime Voyagers, or Wave 3 of the Cmdr class either. And barely got the third wave of Deluxe and Legion sizes. :(
It's certainly not worth the risk, especially with retailers being slow to taking up Beast Hunters this year (after two years of stagnant stock on the shelves).

We should get the Abominus set here, according to what was being suggested at Toyfair... but nothing is guaranteed here these days. :(

I'd rather wait for the 5-pack here, and if it doesn't show just POL it with BBTS. Chances are that it will be more cost effective that way as well. Hopefully they'll do a sweet box for Abominus to attract parents into buying in.

I opened these today but haven't combined them as there's no instructions on how to do it?
I've transformed each one individually though and really like them. Hun-Gurr, Twinstrike, and Windrazor are the best. Rippersnapper is the worst as it looks like a piece is missing in beast mode. The plastic also feels so delicate that you are scared that pieces are gonna snap off. There's not really a lot of 'transforming' going on with them as its mainly turning the limbs the opposite way which transforms them.

For those who have an existing order with BBTS and want all 5 members, Legion Terrorcons are back in stock here (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=HAS22720&mode=retail) and here (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=HAS22723&mode=retail) . $44 for a set of 5 before postage. PoL recommended (my purchase cost $0 shipping) as express post is an additional $30 and regular an additional $20

Thanks for the heads up sinnertwin! Ive managed to buy the 3 other individual ones as I don't wanna double up on your namesake figure:p. Unfortunately Ill have to wait til that batch gets delivered as I haven't yet received the previous one ( with big grail included :D) so ill need also to bulk up that set of POL before I have it shipped.

Yeah, I got the email from BBTS last night. I paid $35 for 4 (No Hun-grrr) before shipping which I know is a bit more expensive than in the shops here but I live in the middle of nowhere so it suits me.

What ANNOYS me is that they STILL don't have my Blitzwing/Springer in!

9th May 2013, 11:34 PM
yeah, how late are they? If I had extended my holidays in Phils by a week, I would've been able to buy mine as they came out on the week I got back here, grrrr. then Rk put out already theirs and BBTS still has theirs - PO status. hmmmm. Oh well as long as I get it, coz I don't think those 2 will be sold here in Aus, much like FOC Grimlock. Although ill wait for the Takara version coz Ive seen FOC grimy in the shops in Phils and it looks sooo KO. :p
