I know you were just being silly, but since these are Japanese toys it's a moot issue as FIRRIB never existed in Japan (because in the Japanese version of the G1 cartoon, the blue robot was called Frenzy and the red one was called Rumble). :)
Likewise FIRSIB/FIBSIR would be a non-issue for the Japanese too :p
Cos Fizzle (blue) and Sizzle's (red) colours were swapped in Anglophone canon, but not in Japanese continuity (Masterforce) ... thus for Westerners the Sparkabot debate rages on!!! d: d: d:

Not a fan of either of these. Ravage is waaay too skinny (looks like a greyhound :p), and Rumble's thighs and feet look aweful. Easy pass for me considering the price Takara are asking. Only worth it if you don't have the Takara MP Soundwave and are looking to get the Hasbro version which has them included for the same price.

That is easily one of the coolest things I've seen all day! :p:D
Oh how I cannot wait for my TakTom Cassettes to arrive, the Frumble mold looks exquisite & Ravage actually looks like a Feline now as opposed to a horizontally flattened piece of roadkill! :D
If Ravage manages to pull off MP Laserbeak's incorporated weapon engineering too, I will be over the moon!

You know, it kinda looks like his weapons might fit in there. I for one think the more Ravage the better!
Although looking at how much they have changed over the last 25 years (i.e not all that much really) kind of shows how well designed the original cassettes were. Amazing.

I find it near amazing that they've packed so much into something roughly the size of the original cassettes. Ravage may be lacking a tiny bit but WOW.:D
So much change!!!:eek::cool:

Just thought about this last night - while MP Soundwave is larger than his G1 self, the cassettes have remained the same size. Scale has never counted for much when it comes to G1, but they should have made them slightly larger as per this chart (http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/b/b7/Tfcartoonscaleguideic1.jpg) IMO.

I think if they were to make them any larger dude it'd start intruding on the overall space they have for the applicable gimmick, not to mention it'd break backwards compatibility with the older cassettes which you know people would then start jumping up & down - raging about how 'HACKara' screwed up everyone's dreams etc. etc. ;):p
Besides, I think Soundwave is really only bigger because he's far better proportioned that the original figure, that and they're trying to follow the chart you've linked as best as possible (Apparently with the 'main' bots adherence only) .

After watching that video review, I have decided that I really don't like these at all.
Several things that irk me - Rumble's guns / pile drivers not part of the figure but an extra accessory. This is disappointing given that the designers were able to incorporate this into the designs for both Laserbeak / Buzzsaw. Transformation is so similar to G1 Rumble, which when you consider this is suppose to be a 'Masterpiece', it is far too simplistic.
Ravage looks hollow in cassette mode to accommodate the rockets; would have preferred to have them as a separate accessory in this case to avoid sacrificing the aesthetic of the alternate mode. The reviewer even mentioned that Ravage was so fragile that he broke him during transformation.
$60 - not worth it at all and any thoughts I had about purchasing the Hasbro version just for the cassettes is gone.

i totally agree with that ravage look so fragile , i can just seeing myself playing with him and a leg or two break off ! they look like match sticks.Plus the reviewer say that he broke ravage in the middle but from the video it looks like that thickest part of him:confused:

My HLJ preorder is 'Processing' & from the looks of things they're only going to cost me $50 to my door, I'm quite pleased & happy with this as it leaves more funds in the bank for the fortress-sized elephant in the room. ;):)

With all the other things going on I forgot to make my preorder! Thinking of getting the Hasbro Soundwave with all the tapes. Will cost about the same as the two Takars sets. Do we have a release date?
But this time im going to be the one who is after the coin. Rumble and Ravage are very important to me. They were the frist two bots I ever got. Its Ravage and Rumble who started it all for me.

Yes, I would wait for the local Hasbro version if I were you. :) I've already gotten MP Soundwave, so I'm pretty much "committed" to getting the TakTOM Cassettes, but if I didn't have any of 'em I'd wait for the Hasbro version. They're slated to be released by September IIRC.

What Gok says is exactly right; My preorder read the exact same until they arrived in their warehouse and the ball started rolling. ;):)

HLJ replied to my email, they stated the shipment they receeved was smaller than they expected and as they fulfill orders chronologically, unfortunately i missed out.
I don't care the fact that I missed out but moreso now that time has elapsed and I didn't receive any notice - prices have increased on these little suckers..
hoping my MP-16 order with them will be fulfilled at least.
Off to ebay..

That's really sad to hear dude, sorry that the result wasn't far more favourable. :(
Keep your eyes peeled at all the ususal stores man, especially the Asian ones, as I hope it isn't eBay that ends up being the only place you're able to get them. :(
That email though has me a little concerned over my own Preorders, I just hope that my last 2 remaining with them (MP 16 & Encore FortMax) end up being honoured too.:o

Did you make use of the HLJ private warehouse system? From what I see in mine I've already paid for it but it's just sitting there waiting for me to create a shipment.
I've heard of HLJ failing to honour pre-orders in the past but luckily it hasn't happened to me.

Didn't use that function initially, changed my order now but still sits in 'order still processing'. I assume this is to prevent me jumping the line, as they will still honour on a FIFO basis.
