The second wave of Commanders are now being released globally, after the Deluxes came out last week.

Trailcutter (reworked Ironhide) and Hardshell (new mould) - pictures can be seen here (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/inhand-images-transformers-prime-beast-hunters-cyberverse-commander-wave-2-hardshell-trailcutter/26771/).

Weird, why did they decide to homage Energon Insecticon (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Insecticon_%28Energon%29)'s paint scheme with this figure? - He had his own cool apps.:o

I kind of like Hardshell. Quite detailed for a toy of that size, IMO.

I've always found the Commander class highly overpriced. Not much bigger than the Legion yet twice the price, and less than half the size of a Deluxe but not even only half the price. I only ever buy this class if I REALLY want the figure and they come in no other size. BBTS has this pair for $28 - will have to decide if really worth it, especially with a Generations Trailbreaker/cutter in the works

I'll get both -- the Voyager will be Hardshell and the Commander will be a generic Insecticon in the Gokiverse. ;) I'll call him Bob. :D

Video Review of Trailcutter (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/video-review-transformers-prime-beast-hunters-cyberverse-commander-class-trailcutter/26881/) & Hardshell (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/video-review-transformers-prime-beast-hunters-cyberverse-commander-hardshell/26852/)... as they have now been sighted at American retail (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/transformers-prime-beast-hunters-cyberverse-commanders-hardshell-trailcutter-at-retail/26871/) (after being out in Asia last week).

(Now I know that Hardshell is packaged as a Decepticon - I wasn't sure if they would package it as a Predacon to fit with the current Beast theme... or package it as a Decepticon because that was what they were on the cartoon last year)

Anyone know if they have been sighted in Aus yet? Was looking at Griff's release date list and it said Beast Hunter Commanders to be released in May here. But I'm wondering considering how things are going and how so many toys are simply not making it here if they will make an appearance or not. Considering ordering them from BBTS but if they will turn up here I wont bother

I think they'll show up here, but it might take a while - we are still only one week into May.
BBTS seems to be the only place left that has the pair available (Insecticon is popular as an army-builder), but their price is very high US$14-15 each before shipping (as are their Wave 3 prices for Shockwave and Starscream). If you are desperate, go for BBTS, but you'll pay more than you will here.... and if they do get released here, you'll be kicking yourself.

That's how I'm feeling about the BH Terrorcons. I pre-ordered them from BBTS, then the day that the pre-order came in (yesterday) Twinstrike finally appeared in Target in Swan Hill, and he's only $8! For the 4 from BBTS I'm paying $35 before shipping so definetly costing me more. The only upside is if the other 3 don't come to my tiny town I'm covered.

I've held off ordering the smaller size classes from BBTS, as they have a huge profit margin percentage on them, making it cheaper to buy here with most of them.
Perhaps keep an eye on the various HK sources, to see if they restock them later as well.

I know this a delayed reply, but it's surely a homage to Barrage (of the Deluxe Insecticons) who had those colours first and turned into a rhinoceros beetle. The Hardshell name is either an attempt to get some use out of it or (like Bombshell) they just didn't want something too warful in Transformers Prime.

...and in an even FURTHER delayed reply :p; indeed, I'd be willing to concede to the possible G1 Deluxe Insecticon reference - I just drew the conclusion based on BH Soundwave's Universe 1.0 and assumed an early 00's TF colour scheme connection. ;)
