I like Alternities... but I don't feel that they're worth their full RRPs, which is almost the same as Binaltechs* (Alternities are smaller and have no die-cast metal, so they ought to be cheaper). Consequently my Alternity collection is rather small. I like Convoy, although I got him loose mint in box for about $37. ;) I've personally never felt they were worth the full $50 asking price though. :o JMHO. :)

Allow me to correct myself -- it's not that Alternities have no die-cast metal, but they have a lot less die-cast metal than BTs. Most of Alternities' die-cast is limited to supporting substructures; Convoy's an example of this. So considering the smaller size and substantially lesser amount of die-cast metal, I find them to be poor value for money at full RRP.

I find the Kreons cute!, Kinda like Lego Minifigs but they're transformers which is like combining 2 fave toy products in one. It's so collectible! Also since I was able to get the first wave as just the Kreons and without the building blocks which I care little for, I just couldn't stop from there heheheh. It's that simple for me, I can't say for other people. :)

This puzzle that I found at Sandown Collector Fair on Sunday has artwork I've never seen before, but it is just so toy accurate, that you think your own toys could come to life.

That puzzle is great. I have had that puzzle since I was alot younger. The artwork is quite unique as I have never seen it used anywhere else.

Just your standard 4 suit 54 playing cards (2 jokers), not sure if every single card has different characters as I really dont want to open them.
A lot of people collect collectable cards (e.g. baseball cards, footy cards etc.) in those special collectable card folder sleeves that are designed to protect and preserve collectable cards and display them in ring-bind folders. I do it with all my TF cards and collectable-card-sized tech spec cards (I wish the BotCon exclusive toys' tech spec cards were that size :(). You can also get individual card sleeves to put on the card and then insert it into the protective folder sleeve for double-protection (you can put the sleeve on 'upside down' so that when you insert it into the folder sleeve, it's virtually airtight).

I actually have a set of Beast Wars cards completely sealed... but that's a spare set. I got two sets; one set which I've kept sealed, and the other is housed in sleeves in a ring bind folder. And tbh, I get far more enjoyment out of opened display cards than the loose ones. Having one set sealed is purely a novelty... but I don't get any direct enjoyment from the cards themselves, since I can't even see or touch them. Aside from neat images, it also provides information about the characters, such as their height and weight (e.g. Dinobot is 2.9m tall and weighs 1.7t). It was also the first canonical source to definitively provide a name for the Predacon ship as the Terror Crasher. About 2 years later the N64 Transmetal game referred to the ship as the "Darksyde" (which had already been a long standing fan name amongst Anglophone fans anyway, but the game gave it official currency). This is the sort of cool stuff that I personally feel that I'd be missing out on if I'd kept a set of collectible cards sealed. :o

A lot of people collect collectable cards (e.g. baseball cards, footy cards etc.) in those special collectable card folder sleeves that are designed to protect and preserve collectable cards and display them in ring-bind folders. I do it with all my TF cards and collectable-card-sized tech spec cards (I wish the BotCon exclusive toys' tech spec cards were that size :(). You can also get individual card sleeves to put on the card and then insert it into the protective folder sleeve for double-protection (you can put the sleeve on 'upside down' so that when you insert it into the folder sleeve, it's virtually airtight).

I actually have a set of Beast Wars cards completely sealed... but that's a spare set. I got two sets; one set which I've kept sealed, and the other is housed in sleeves in a ring bind folder. And tbh, I get far more enjoyment out of opened display cards than the loose ones. Having one set sealed is purely a novelty... but I don't get any direct enjoyment from the cards themselves, since I can't even see or touch them. Could be a small weight inside the box for all I know. :p ;)

Yeah man i'm aware of card sleeves and top loaders, i buy ultra pro myself for my pokemon cards, just i have no desire at the moment to crack the transformers cards open, dont know why, i'll do it someday and take pictures of all the characters on the cards.

Myer Parra didn't have em in their usual toy shelves but on this Table where they put a "look at me" toy. Usually with a tv video playing to promote and catch the buyer's eye.

They didn't have a lot when I got em last Monday prolly due to the promo which ended last Sunday. I was hoping to get a cyberverse Predaking too. Each Cyberverse was $8.95. Oh right, I thought you just picked 'em up recently. I was there yesterday at about 17:20. :o The lady who served me was really interesting. She said that she's been working in the toy department at Myer (Grace Bros) since Transformers came out in the 1980s! We had a really in-depth conversation about how TF toy quality has changed since the 80s... she was even compared Beast Hunters with Beast Wars! I was actually pretty impressed... she seems to have more intimate knowledge about how Transformers has changed as a toy line over the years than some people who identify themselves as fans! :D :)

just got megs alternity today .....and guess what !! he got two right hand !!! wtf .,... man this must be a common problem because i got ultramagus in two left hand... and this is my fourth alternity! i cant be that bad luck hey :(
I can to do the swap between the two but the hand is different mold..plus different colour as well, one black and the other white!:mad:

I've never had that problem with any of my Alternities. Are you able to bring/send the toys back for exchange? (or maybe ask them for some other form of recompense, like a discount on your next purchase or something <shrugs> :confused:)

SinnertwinStrike is cute.Noth modes are reasonable for this size I think. Robot mode appears a bit Kibbley from my brief play with him. Not bad.

I like Twinstrike's transformation. They've put in a decent effort to make him more than just a "stand up" transforming quadruped. I really like how the robot legs transform to make the hind legs look different (and more bestial)... sure, the forelegs end up being kibble in robot mode, but I can forgive it since makes the transformation more interesting. :) Twinstrike's another good example of a smaller/cheaper toy giving more bang for your buck over his larger and more expensive assortment-mates. ;) So far w/ BHs, I have 1 Legion, 1 Commander, 1 Deluxe and 1 Voyager - and I find Twinstrike to be the best figure relative to his size and price point. :)

Nabbed Cyberverse Smokescreen and Sinnertwin.

Both much better figures than most of the other Prime toys in larger variants I have purchased. Only the deluxe vehicons, ratchet and maybe Wheeljack compare to the quality and fun of these two smaller figures.

It says alot about the last two major toylines (Prime and DotM) that the legends class figures have without a doubt been the most consistently well constructed toys. In a top ten figures from prime, at least 5 would be legends figures!

I was looking over the Cyberverse Op and as I weighed up the pros and cons of buying Cyberverse vs Voyager. Really, the Commander ( ? ) costs half the price of the voyager (With the 20% off). And thought that the voyager would then be better value for money.

20 bucks vs $40. Those commander(Cyberverse??? I'm confused now) dont look like 20 bucks worth to me

$20 is the full RRP for Commander. With the Myer sale I was looking at $15 for Commander vs $40 for Voyager. And I already have too many TFP Optimus Primes as it is -- FE Deluxe, FE Voyager and Cyberverse Commander (last one was an Xmas gift)... and combined with the comments/reviews I've read about Voyager OP, especially SMHFConvoy's comment about the Commander being a better toy than the Voyager (http://otca.com.au/boards/showpost.php?p=346371&postcount=10), I decided to go for the Commander for OP. :o

I actually got doubles of Grimlock, Sideswipe, Starscream and Ultra Magnus so there was a bit more in the box.
Got one giant box and one smaller box, the giant box did suffer some damage though despite having fragile stickers on it.

BBTS has already stock of Shockwave.I too pre-ordered him and they've charged and filled my order 6 days ago, The figure isnt still out for mass retail here in Phils, but some of the hobby shops are reported to have early stocks on display and on sale. Good thing I pre-ordered I didn't wanna miss out on this figure. BUt Im still waiting to fill up my POL a bit more before I get it delivered hehehehe

Hhhhmmm... still undecided about getting the TakTOM version. The sword looks mighty nice, but I'm not going to buy a full Voyager toy just for a sword! And does the TakTOM version have an Autobot logo? I dunno... I've yet to be convinced that the mould itself is worth it. The best repaint can't cover up a flawed design. :/ I'd like to have a fiddle of someone else's Voyager TFPBHOP before deciding. :o

Particularly happy with Flak, had no idea this little bloke existed and came across him in the supermarket yesterday! Repainted I think he would make a good mini-version of IDW's Hardhead :) His bio is actually like the Dreamwave version of the G1 character and he has a similar colour scheme and turns into a military vehicle which is pretty cool!

That was the original TF Energon Showbag -- it came w/ the Otter Press comics which are a smaller print of the Dreamwave comics. IDW hadn't acquired Transformers yet (that would happen after DW dropped the ball w/ TFs). The Energon showbag didn't come with any action figures, but it did come with a little pachinko ("pinball") game and multi coloured torch light. This year's showbag is nothing but stationery and stickers. Ya know, the kind of present you get for your birthday from that awkward relative who's only invited because they're related to you. :p :p :p

just be careful of his legs..the QC isn't good....plus he a pain to transform to his vehicle mode ... the hands at 45 angle the key :)

Yeah i'm aware of rodimus qc issues, i have 3 of them, hasbro, v1 and v2 now. I'm use to transforming them as well and i found a somewhat trick to doing it, tucking the hands in and using the empty slot which the saw/oil changer connects to and tucking that into the groove of the pipes. Sits more flush for me anyways.
