What would you like to see as the next mainline TV series and toyline from Hasbro, since BH is apparently the end of the Prime saga?
My far-fetched wish is for a re-do of Beast Machines. Just strike it from the canon and start again.
Keep some of the same elements; ie: Megatron got to Cybertron first & took over. The Spark situation. But change all the things many people seemed to dislike.
-Weak and inconsistent character development.
-Overzealous spirituality/preaching.
-The 'morphing' Maximals.
-The flat, drab animation.
-Do something about Nightscream.
-Make figurines that actually look like the characters they're meant to portray.
-Most importantly, completely change the ending so that G1 can never be continued.
Failing that, proceed with Transtech to at least wash the Beast Machines taste out of our G1 mouths.
Bring G1 back as something that can be built on rather than rebooted every 5 years.

^I like this idea. ;) Especially the last point about not deadending the G1 continuity family. Not sure if Hasbro will want to run with this considering that Beast Wars is like a "cold case" for them. I'd like to see them actually try and CONTINUE with TF Prime... I'm sick of reboots.

I haven't worked out what i would like to see but i think it will be something to do with tie ins.
Either something that can tie into the upcoming online games. But I have heard the Transformers MMO has been scaled back to a PvP I think that is what i heard anyway.
OR.. a (way) back story that can lead into and eventually hype the next movies.
Set in S P A C E yes, time to leave Earth and humans again.

Very Simple. They already have the toyline up and running, all we need now is the cartoon to extend it:
Bots and Girls, coming to the small screen next year
TRANSFORMERS: GENERATIONS
Gives Hasbro the chance to promote all the G1 characters they are still selling 30 years later as well as bringing in a slew of characters from all other Transformers genre's. Chuck in Botanica from Beast Machines, Slipstream from Animated, Depth Charge from Beast Wars, half a dozen characters from The Unicron Wars etc.
The fans would love it! The world would love it! I would love it!

I reckon if they're gonna do Transformers Generations, then set it after the events of Generation 2... so basically in the same spirit as ReGeneration One --- it's been 20 years since G2 ended, and the G1 Transformers now look like Classicsverse... new story, new show, new comics -- boom. If they're clever they can also start seeding things that will connect with Beast Wars (helping to 'bridge' the continuity gap between G2 and BW). Like maybe have an episode where Classicsverse Megatron finds the Voyager II and embeds his message on the Sounds of Earth disc (after all in BW we only really see the reflection of his head, which pretty much looks like Classics Megs ;)). Have an episode where Deluxe sized Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Prowl, Trailcutter, Hound and Warpath volunteer to become Perceptor's first test subject to have their bodies reformatted to a smaller but more fuel-efficient form (i.e. their Legends Class toys)... a process he calls the "Maximal Upgrade." This technology could then be stolen by the Predacons, who then apply it to Megatron and Starscream. The technology still has its drawbacks, so maybe after an episode or so they all return to their regular Deluxe and Voyager sized bodies -- but at least the Legends toys still get a plug, and the story lays seeds for the future Maximal and Predacon upgrades that we see in Beast Wars (and further explains why the Maximals and Predacons are so much smaller than Autobots and Decepticons). Instead of humans and M.E.C.H., they could have a sub story about the Matrix-purified-Swarm evolving into the Vok... and how/why they decide to go back in time and do all that funky stuff to prehistoric Earth.

Oh crap, just noticed my last dot point says G1 shouldn't continue. That's not what I meant at all. I think BM should be changed so that G1 can proceed onwards from there, rather than dead- ending with 'everything is made of plants now'.

If you can sell Hasbro on making that, send the idea off in an email and if they make it I'll be the first to park myself in front of the TV and watch it with rapt attention. Would probably be a bit too convoluted for new fans though.
I'm thinking more a Generations TV show could be like say the IDW comics. Not remaking G1 but maybe a parellel universe that shares a ton of similarities, but not constrained to stay 100% faithful to what came before.
I always thought it would have been good to see a continuation of the American G1 cartoon, but using all the characters that never made it into the show (the original cast can make cameo's). Show battles off on planets where big ugly creatures roam so you get the Monsterbots and Decepticon small headmasters roaming about, or water worlds where the Seacons are oppressing a people (where was it Seaspray liberated again?). But since we will never see this cartoon, I'm going to stick with my Generations idea :)
Or if you don't like my Generations idea, we could try these:
*Two Broke Autobots
*The Photon Cannon Bang Theory
*Couch time with Dr Rung
*Two Autobots, a Decepticon & an Energon Bar
*Hi, my name is Drift
*Fastlane & Cloudraker - The Clone Wars
*True Energon
*Megatron, Gods of the Arena
*Seacon Rescue
*Star Sabre Trek
*Arcee: Warrior Princess
*The W(reckers)-Team
*The War Boat
*Dinobots Island
*COPS - Robots Only
*Thundertrons
*The Real ConBusters
*The Late Show with Autobot Swerve
*Mindwipe - The Brave & the Bold
*Samurai Pizza Bludgeon
*Mighty Morphin Power Gestalts
*The (Iacon) Office
*Law & Order: Special Bots Unit
*Question Time: Live from Iacon
*McAddams
*Perfect Strangebots
*Cyberrama
.... I could go on and on (and if I get bored again I probably will :p)

A new reality mini-series: "How Many Bumblebees Can Michael Bay Eat?"
All remaining shelf-warming Bumblebee toys from the Movie series are collected from all over the world and brought to the studio, where they are force-fed to Michael Bay until either they're all gone or until he explodes. Viewers can phone in with their guesses as to how many Bumblebees he can eat before Baysploding and/or words of encouragement, with proceeds going to charity and/or towards the tooling of new, non-Bumblebee molds. Obviously we'd need some kind of humourous mascot providing commentary and toilet humour, as well as a scantily clad starlet to be co-host to said mascot.
When the series reaches its natural end, we could just use the plans and molds for Animated Season 4, and maybe make up a few new molds too *cough*Strika*cough*Leader-ClassLugnut*cough*.

You just gave me a mental image of that scene from the Simpsons were Satan-Ned Flanders has Homer strapped to a machine that's constantly feeding him doughnuts, and Homer just keeps eating them -- only replace Homer with Bay and the doughnuts with Bumblebees. ;)

Beast Hunters is going to blow so hard that it will ruin the 'Beast' aspect for a few years, much like Beast Machines did.
What will we get instead? Let's think way outside the box here and say we get some obscure, underused characters to the forefront like they've never been seen before - characters like Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee! They haven't been seen or heard from in years!
Who are we kidding?! hasbro doesn't have the balls to change the formula. Beast Wars came about because the franchise was dying and took a punt on something new. With the franchise at arguably its strongest point ever, they aren't going to change the fundamentals and risk losing that.
So whatever comes, it will have Op, Megs and the annoying yellow bastard all over again.

Hahaha, not a chance. Plus the Delorean is out of gas.
But it's a sign of absolute confidence in their product that Hasbro came out long before the show had even aired and said that this would be the last season of the 'Prime' show. Wow, way to spruke the franchise right there!
The call for BW to be wrapped up came halfway through Season 3, which is why the story ideas Bob and Larry had going forward had to be culled. Since when are Hasbro so forward thinking that they would chop 'Prime' off at the knees now and start on something else instead of milking something until its dying breath, and even then still try to flog it some more.

I was going to say I'd like to see G1 redone with modern animation techniques while still retaining their original forms and having more serious storylines, like the recent Space Battleship Yamato 2199 series, but having read BigTransformerTrev's list of shows I don't see the point of just having one series - that's a channel's entire season listing. Short of the nightly news and Antiques roadshow (which could also have a TF theme) we could have a lineup of TF themed shows 24/7 365dpy!

I'd often thought of that (G1 redone) - even to the extent of dubbing in the voices of characters whose voice actors had died (Starscream, Jazz, Sky Lynx etc) and then using underused characters like Skids to fill in a lot of plot and gaps.
And hey, we get a 24-hour 'infotainment' channel, trying to sell us damn leek slicers - why not a TF dedicated channel! I'd watch!

Yeah, I didn't mind it and BM as a gap-filler. But to see a Transformer taken down by damn spears in one of the final BW episodes just made me ashamed of the genre. What had happened to the days where the likes of Starscream could get shot by a tank and not even flinch? Dark times they were my friend.

Have to agree on that hasbro could do a story that involves the generations line, although it would have to dabble a little into G1 but also the story line would have to revive the fandom, take it to a new aspect. Not that they just come to earth and start a war here. Thinking of how the Cyberton line went to new worlds, please leave the cyber key part out. I also think that the WFC and FoC lines would make a great story line as well with the immenent extinction of Cybertron at its climaxe that the warring parties decide to look for new worlds to try to revive there own, but again don't come to earth. Try to find a balance,in which a few of the IDW ideas are a good way to go. But I have found that hasbro will just throw a few of the stories together and release a couple of new toys and say that its going to work. Like the movie lines, how many more BB are there going to be! If I collect one more I could vomit. Thanks Hasbro I don't need another BB, how about a few new characters. Like Dino, the red Ferrari was in the movie but never released as a toy.

I'd like to see something that would reference Prime. If BH is going in the direction I think it's going I wouldn't mind seeing something along the lines of mtmte and rid.
As they've said repeatedly in the movies and on tv: many Cybertronians fled to all corners of the galaxy.

After reading the novel exiles, i am in favor of the show starting there, going to pick up the blurr and wreckgar, reactivating disused space bridges to distant galaxies, collecting new characters while honoring the old. so if it were to follow the canon, it would start directly after foc and pre-date prime.
i loved these novels, i hope there will be more, there were so many holes in plot, (dark energon, etc). But it was the first time in along time i had to have an imagination in the transformers universe. i remember being a child and the story's i remember from g1 continuity were only recently corrected by watching g1 end to end. Lots of stories i remember, were fictitious!!!! This being said, when i read the exiles and exodus stories, it engaged my imagination in this universe much more than it has in 20 odd years!! (I think childrens entertainment has changed a lot. my girlfriends siblings have watched g1 with me a lot, and constantly point out animation and storyline flaws. If its not perfect and exciting and SPOONFED, its crap.) This is most probably why i like the direction mentioned previously, but alas its the best i can come up with.

To be honest I hate it when my entertainment has to explicitly dot every i and cross every t. Sometimes, loose threads, plot holes and continuity gaffs can lead to good stories.

And that's why it's so much fun to do full fantasy toy play! :D Watching cartoons, reading comics and playing games etc. is all good, but ultimately you're passively experiencing somebody else's imagination. But full on toy playing is an exercise in your own imagination; as are other creative outputs like writing fanfics, fan art, customising, action posing, photography etc. - although they differ in the level/nature of creativity. I find toy playing and fan fic writing to be the most imaginative (having said that... I personally don't read fan fics :p). :)

Well, in Prime continuity he would've been an archivist. If such a story happened I'd like it to kinda be like Orion Pax in IDWverse where he slowly but surely uncovered layers of conspiracies etc. which opens his eyes to a reality that he wasn't aware of before. He doesn't need to be the gung-ho police captain like he was in IDWverse, he can still be an archivist... but maybe just going all Da Vinci Code and investigating the truth. :)

I've been watching the season 1 finale of tfa and I'd like to see new characters. I mean think about it rescue bots had prime and bumblebee as recurring characters but the cast itself was made up of new characters. It worked, it can work in a mainline animated series. This is just speculation anyway.

How about an all prehistoric TF? Lots of dinosaurs and large mammals to cover, perhaps near the end of the Cretaceous period. Maybe the asteroid impact that brought about mass extinction was actually a cybertronian crash landing of sorts which the autobots failed to prevent and the show would end with how only our fave five dinos was put to ice.

lets set the scene, a massive space battle over cybertron ships decepticons autobots explosions and choas is everywhere (kinda like we see in the SW clone wars toon) we skip to the bridge of the command ship. lights are flashing red, smoke and fire has filled the room. prime standing in the middle all stoic and leadery.....SEND THE TRANSMISSION...............NOW
we skip over to another vessle megatron sits on his throne....FINISH THEM......
we zoom out to space as cannon fire rips through Primes engines and they explode and the ship lurches and starts to fall to cybertron
crashes into cybertron........... scene fades to black.
we hear some transmisson noise and then a grainy sound comes out as the screen focus's on a bot sitting at comms terminal - fades out/then fades in to a bot slumped over a table fades out/fades to a few more random loner type scenes all while the transmission is playing over
This is Optimus Prime, Cyberton has Fallen to Megatron and the Decepticons, we have failed. You are being recalled to finish what we couldn't Megatron must be stopped no matter the cost. Cyberton needs the Wreckers......
as the transmission finishes we see springer back at the comms terminal...
its time to put the team back together.. we are going home.....
then we can have episodes intorducing us to the cast as they are tracked down and all the action and hilarity that follows as the head home..
by the way prime isnt dead.. that is your season one cliffhanger all the autobots are in internment/work camps for the decepticons..... the wreckers discover this as the season ends...
but then its probably not what hasbro wants
