TRANSFORMERS BEER! Hoptimus Prime in the UK

I've got a fair few friends in the UK, I gotta get one of them to send me a case of these:

As a kid, I remember eating Transformers Icy-Poles at the only milk-bar in the district (even though I like Buffalo Bill's better), and as an adult I've had all kinds of candy and lollies based on different TF continuities (mainly movies, though I have an Armada gumball dispenser) and of course with the exception of this year Easter stuff. Finally, something for the man who loves his giant fighting robots and his beer!


Plus it's called Hoptimus Prime, and my last name is Hopkins - it was meant to be! I should start a petition to get my wife to let me import a tanker full of it!

I was thinking last night as I went to bed "How did Hoptimus never occur to me before!?" :D:rolleyes::confused::D


It was like when we were discussing baby names and I said for a girl "Elita" and my friend Tam went "Elita - A Litre of milk lol" and it was so obvious that is what she would be called for the rest of her school life I had to dismiss it forever.

Well, the UK company never replied to my message, so I assume they have no interest in servicing their potential customer base down under...


HOWEVER...

I found ANOTHER Hoptimus Prime beer! The Hoptimus Prime Brewing Company which is situated much closer - New Zealand. By the looks of it they are part brewing company, part music event organizers and part... well... lets just say 'think of the episode where Homer harvested the wrong herbs and put them in the hippies vegetable juice' and you get the idea of the kind of beer they make :rolleyes:;)

Whether they would import this or not (and if customs would nab it) who knows? Maybe will send an inquiry off and see if I have better luck here. I get the feeling while Hasbro may have endorsed the UK one, this one - not so much.

Yeah, I knew they weren't marijuana leaves (go to enough hippy festivals and you know what they look like). But I did some investigation on the company and what they do with music festivals and other stuff and the hops leaves are a subtle-nod to the leaves they can't advertise. It's a 'we-are-saying-it-but-not-saying-it' thing ;)
