Available from the Ehobby site (if you are in Japan), will be a redeco of the Classicverse Perceptor toy, with a new head, in the colours of their Magnificus toy (a redeco of the Gen1 Perceptor toy they released almost ten years ago).
They teased fans the other day with this cryptic image (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/ehobby-teases-their-next-exclusive-magnificus/26906/), that people were able to work back to the original Magnificus toy.
And now today, the character has been revealed with this image (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/ehobby-exclusive-confirmed-as-magnificus/26911/).
It will be available for purchase/pre-order (?) from March 26th, for 5,500yen (about AU$58).
Looks like it is being labelled as part of the JP Generations line, rather than the (old) United line. Perhaps Artfire was the last of the United series.

Yeeeees. I most certainly am.
Any new accessories to compensate for the lack of Ga'mede? kinda torn as I really liked Magnificus, but without Ga'mede, it's just a black Perceptor.
Available for pre-order from 26 march until 12pm 8th of May. No mention of when the toy is out yet though

I'm all in for a Sydney group order.
I have not had any experience with buying from eHobby before, is there any other way to acquire this figure?

I think the Elite Seekers were. They may have been at the same time, though.

I ran it through translate, this is what i could make out:
Transformers Generations Magnificus available for a limited time through eHobby. "Magnificus" from the "Transformers Generations" series will appear as a limited edition release from e-HOBBY! Uses a new head sculpt with new parts. Also comes with an 8-page color original comic.
The writing on the right appears to be standard "product may vary" statement and to see larger image etc

I've tried to make an account with eHobby but they only seem to appear to take Japanese addresses :( Looks like we may need to wait until RK/BBTS/TFS gets it in, or make a new friend in Japan.

Didn't Goktimus mention something of a company that uses a Japanese address and then forwards the goods on to you? Tenso? I'm can't remember the details :(

Oh okay... the exclusive comic helps make the high price a little bit easier to swallow. At 5500JPY ($56), this toy is gonna become my most expensive Deluxe evah! But it does have a retooled head, and at a limited run I can accept it (similar to some of the BotCon and Club exclusives that have sold at a similar price point). Still... it's not cheap by any stretch of the imagine.

Edit
Found it
All the details are at their website but basically, sign up at tenso.com and they'll give you a Japanese address to use. Sign up/log in to Amazon and buy the item using your Tenso address as your shipping address. Amazon JP can be set to English which makes things a lot easier and Tenso have a guide to entering your address at Amazon too, which is very helpful.
Sorry, Goktimus :o

I think RK have a listing for this little fella up. (http://www.robotkingdom.com/services/eshop/main.php?action=details&CatType=&II=EHOBBYMGS&lang=us&CatID=) But $85 is a bit much!!
I quite like it and being a fan of Magnificus am very tempted to get it. I wonder if the comic will have Ga'Mede getting killed or something like that, hence the lack of Ga'mede......
Fan made tank modes anyone?

I'm a massive fan of Magnificus because I actually grew up with a pre-TF Microman* Perceptor, so as a child I grew up with a black and grey Perceptor, not a red and turqoise one. :) (later on I got a proper Perceptor from one of my cousins when he decided that he was "too old" for toys and gave it to me :D). So Magnificus has a special place in my heart for that reason. But even then, I'm sure as hell not gonna pay above regular price for it -- at $55 the regular price is already freaking expensive as it is! At $85 (or anything above $60) I'd definitely pass it.
I've since offloaded all my "Pre-TFs" many years ago, but I still have this old photo (http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y227/goktimusprime/Transformers/collection%201998/collection_1998B.jpg) (taken in 1998) of one of my collection shelves - if you look on the bottom shelf, toward the left standing behind Magnaboss -- that was my old Microman "Kenbikyou Robo" (Microscope Robot). A shame... unlike Perceptor and Magnificus, Microscope Robot's lens could actually magnify objects! (not as strong as a proper microscope of course, it was merely and adjustable magnifying lens - but still a damn cool gimmick!) I used to collect little leaves and other stuff from the garden and examine them under the lens! :)
------------------------------------------------------
*It wasn't actually sold as Microman/Micronauts, but under some other name which I don't remember. I got it around the same time as Astro Magnum ("Shackwave"), so it was that era in the 1980s where there were some Pre-TFs sold here under licence but with different names.

Cover art for the comic to accompany Magnificus (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/ehobby-exclusive-magnificus-comic-art/27052/). I have a feeling that the FunPub release of this figure won't have a translated comic, which their Solar Requiem set was said to have.

Bio for the new Magnificus (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/ehobby-magnificus-new-inhand-images-color-version-of-comic-cover-and-bio/27087/), and coloured version of the comic cover revealed a few days ago... and some more images of the toy itself.
Name: Magnificus
Status: Exile
Once Military Affairs Advisor for Mebion, Magnificus was betrayed by an unknown comrade and banished to frontier space. Forced to serve as a gun-for-hire, he has spent long years on the run from bounty hunters with his comrade-in-arms, Gamede. But the pair has finally found a means to achieve their revenge: body data stolen from Perceptor using Gamede's ability to shrink to atomic size! Redesigning his body using this data, Magnificus has successfully mastered the art of "Psychometry", which is the ability to see residual images by scanning objects and other lifeforms. Can Magnificus master this ability and use it to determine the identity of his betrayer?

Interesting how they've replaced Rank with Teamwork. Makes sense as an exile wouldn't have a rank -- looks like canonically Gamede is still in the picture. Perhaps the 'atomic sizing' is the reason why he doesn't come w/ the figure (i.e. he's cohabiting Magnificus' body in microscopic form)

Seems that Gamede has reverted to his original Micronaut sized. Interesting reason for explaining his 'absence' as a toy w/ this Magnificus. Kinda reminds me of Binaltech Ravage's story where he keeps G1 Ravage trapped in cassette mode in his car mode's cassette player.
