Seeing how some of us are into miniatures, wargaming and/or board games, I thought to start a thread with links to various sites stocking these items.

http://www.thecombatcompany.com
http://www.gamesempire.com.au/
http://www.gamesparadise.com.au/
http://www.infinitas.com.au/ (FYI - shopfront presence no longer exists)
http://www.tinsoldierpenrith.com.au/

General board game info site: http://www.boardgamegeek.com

Feel free to add to this thread.

I've been a member of bgg for years now and have purchased games but the problem is that I rarely could find people to play with! Are there any other board gamers out here?

Oh and ten years ago I used to play battletech :)

Quite a few of my friends and I are into board games (pretty much any sort will do), but most of us have babies or toddlers to look after now so it's put our social life on hold for a while... :)

My friends and I play quite a bit of Arkham Horror (team turned based board game). Your in melbourne, perhaps we can organize a game if your interested.

That could be fun, I'm near the CBD as well and have got Ikusa, starfleet captains and the X-Wing miniatures with a handfull of expansions.

I used to play Star Wars Miniatures, but I can't find anyone else to play it with anymore. :(

I recently started playing Beast Wars Transformers and Transformers Animated board games w/ my daughter. Though it's tough cos she's still learning how to add numbers... recently bought a toy abacus for her to help her add up. :) She lacks the patience to play Beast Wars to completion though. Animated is easier for her.

The thing is... she still totally pwnz me on Beast Wars. That game really is dependent on the luck of the draw, and I _always_ suck at luck! :(
