Hi everyone!

New member here. At least, I think I'm new. Maybe I had an account here years ago. Maybe I didn't. What are birds? We just don't know.

Anyway, I'm in WA and I've been "into" Transformers since I was kid in the early 90's subsisting on repeats of 80's cartoons and the old "Classics" and "European G1" toys from those days. I still regret not picking up Thunder Clash and Clench when I had the chance.

I've been what I would consider a semi-serious to serious collector since I was about 15 (I'm now 26). Though I'm not sure how serious a collector of toys really has any right to be, but there you go.

Been rekindling my interest in G1 recently by trying to piece together the remaining bits I need for my Scramble City combiners, only to find it seems to be a thing to charge exorbitant international shipping rates on eBay for ever the tiniest things. I couldn't believe people asking $30 to ship a Menasor waistplate from the US! Maybe some local folks can point to better places for that kind of thing. :)

So... I guess that'll do for an intro thread.

Well you just have to find those certain sellers which are willing to use the cheaper post options... if it's wheeljackslab they always use the registered post even for the tiniest piece so it's 30 bucks always. I myself buy from seller therawhyde00. he gives you options or you can PM him that your preferred mailing is the USPS international cheap one. That's how I do it with him. So far nothing has gone missing in those shipments, mebbe am just lucky in that. But as Orion said, there's the quarterly fair you can scout around for parts for and mebbe go for local sellers first. Cheers!
