For when the ebay auction disappears, the images have bee mirrored here (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/inhand-images-takara-tomy-transformers-masterpiece-mp12t-tigertrack/27373/).

It was also recently shown off in one of this month's JP hobby magazines (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=16170). (looks like it comes in a greyscale box)

When a buyer receives one, we'll get to see some robot pics.

It looks like it might be out June 16th... from what I can make of the Magazine scan, which is about 3 weeks.

They also have up a white animated activators soundwave that I'll be bidding on.

Wasn't tigertracks a convention exclusive? I'm sure I remember reading that somewhere, I'll have to do some research

Does anyone know where the actual Japanese exclusive e-hobby or amazon (?) order page for Tigertrack is?

I don't think there has been any listing yet.

A convention exclusive might be why it hasn't shown up anywhere as a pre-order yet.

Robot kingdom has it listed as the tokyo toy show exclusive for this year but I can't find it on the tokyo toy show website. Maybe ehobby is selling it at the convention, I'm not sure but the show is open to the public on the 16th of june so that would match up with the date Griffin listed. Either way we will find out in a couple of weeks

Interesting.
TFSource and eHobbyBaseshop make no mention of the Tokyo Toy Show, only RobotKingdom, while BBTS states it as "exclusive".

tfwiki mentions ehobby... but if that were true, it should have been on their site some time ago as a pre-order.

Those Japanese Hobby magazine scans mention amazon.co.jp and show the chrome jackhammers that were previously exclusive to Amazon Japan...

There's speculation among some Japanese fans atm that this toy may be sold through e-Hobby later. But I haven't seen any evidence to confirm this, so I'm taking it with a Fort Max sized grain of salt for now.

Glad to see/hear that something has actually become of this figure; for the longest period we had nothing but solicitations, so it's great to finally see the figure "In the flesh" so to speak. ;):p
Doubt I'll pick this bugger up, but it sure proves that the Countache looks pretty good in yellow - It's better in red though. :D:cool:

Apparently the Tigertrack head (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-masterpiece-47/masterpiece-tiger-track-head-sculpt-details-177655/) is a combination of face and helmet of the Sideswipe and Red Alert toys, creating a third head.

Which (until someone with better Japanese skills gives a better translation) basically translates to....

2013 International Tokyo Toy Show Commemorative Products advance notice.
Masterpiece MP-12T Tigertrack

Autobot warrior "Tigertrack" comes from the Masterpiece series.

Transforms from robot into a Lamborghini Countach LP500S.

A cool-headed hunter, who is good at fighting without being detected by the enemy, and is held in high regard by his commander, Convoy.
Includes gun and missile Launcher, plus black version Pile Drivers.

How to get one.
Due to limited quantities, it will be a reservation lottery.
Obtain reservation/entry on the 17th (Monday) and 18th June (Tuesday), from 10am each day. (not sure why they aren't taking reservations on the first two days of the Toy Show)
Limit one reservation per person. (This is gonna make it hard to get on cheap)
If there are less reservations placed than toys, everyone gets one. If there are more reservations than toys, it comes down to a random lottery.
Winners will then be contacted by the email they provided on the reservation

Toys will then be shipped in late June (I guess since it could end up being a lottery after the event ends, they don't give them out at the event itself).

Price 6,000 yen - Cash on Delivery only
That's about AU$67. (or about US$64)

More info and extra toy photos here - http://takaratomymall.jp/shop/ProductDetail.do?pid=4904810489191&mm130613

Yeah, it's been noted on the TFW site that since a number of online stores have pre-orders of significant numbers of units, TakaratTomy may only be selling a portion of the toy at the JP Toy Show.
Which could mean that your pre-orders are safe, if that is the case. But hopefully someone can get confirmation one way or the other soon, before panic buying sets in and the online sources start bumping up their prices.

Not impressed with the recent trend for Seibertron not crediting their news sources...

They posted up what I posted here and on TFW about Tigertrac (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/takara-tomy-mp12t-tigertrack-tokyo-toy-show-availability-details/27548/)k, including my translation, but didn't credit me at all. (I'm not desperate for it, but it would be polite to credit someone for doing most of the work for the benefit of their own front-paged news item)
I spent over an hour working on that info from the TakaraTomy email and website, and Seibertron just posts it up in a couple minutes of copy-and-pasting.
More amusingly, they just lazily ran the website link through google-translate, which is why the two attached images they posted have a little English on it, but it is very disjointed (and calls the toy Tiger Truck, which I fixed on my translation). I at least too the time to rework the translation into proper, readable English.

If their site wasn't easier to view images on than TFW, I don't think I would keep using it (and crediting it).

Exclusivity within Japan I guess.

Does seem kinda daft, but as a completionist but I'd be going mental about now if not for the Asian shops.

That sucks... I know some people in Japan who wanted this toy, but couldn't make it to the Tokyo Toy Show to get one. :( The one that is sold at the show should have some variation to make it more worthwhile for attendees (even if it's say exclusive piledrivers or something).

I guess if nothing else the convention attendees would have access to a cheaper price (6000JPY (AU$66)). :o

I know it's present on Sideswipe as well, but does the the black trapezium on Tigertrack's roof remind anyone else of the black trapezium on G1 Sunstreaker's roof?

Pure speculation, but what if part of the intention of doing Tigertrack was to test out paints/parts for an MP Sunstreaker release? Just focusing on the roof and window area on Tigertrack - it just looks so much like Sunstreaker. Has anyone else had this thought?

Cat

That's present on the 'original' Ehobby Tigertrack.

It's also presumably a carry-over from what the brothers' original decos were supposed to be, before the colour switch.

They also don't need to do a mass-run to test a colour/parts scheme, as that's what test shots are for. It'd also be weird to do one like that with the such a similar car mode.

Precedent also shows that a new character with some retooling, who's from the coveted s1-s2 cast, will get a new number entirely (the Datsuns).

Plus Sunstreaker is a nobody for the Japanese audience, so the only thing he has going for him is the license and that he's from year one.

Frankly, I could see them doing him as a Wheeljack remold/reshell, before using the existing Sideswipe robot tooling.
