For those like me who might have thought the run of Japanese Generations books had ended after almost a year since the last one, never fear, another one is here.
No details yet, or if there is an exclusive toy, but it should be out late July. (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/million-publishing-transformers-generations-2013-is-set-for-late-july-release/27437/)

Good news. I've been checking their website regularly hoping for an update.

Yay! another one to add to the collection, with all pretty pictures! :D:D Shame I can't read any of it, sigh.....

Eehhh... I haven't found any of the Generations books all that interesting apart from the original (and Deluxe edition). :o I only got the 2012 one so I could order Artfire; so unless the book or mail-in toy itself impresses me, I'll pass.

Maybe if it covered everything during the Beast Era... I'd get that. :)

I forgot about the exclusive toy. I'm just happy for the pictures. What's not to love about a series of books providing a photographic guide to every Transformers toy since 2006?

I agree though, a "Generations Deluxe Vol 2: Beast Wars to Cybertron/Galaxy Force", is long overdue.

Some content details on the book (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/transformers-generations-2013-book-details/27527/). To be out 31st July. No word on if there is an exclusive toy yet.

I didn't see any announcement of it being released, so only stumbled across it by accident while looking for the original Generations book on ebay.

So... the 2013 volume is now out, but shop around for a good price, as there were two on ebay - one for US$50, the other for US$70. (each with free shipping)
It is likely to be on some online stores like HLJ or toy sites that have sold them in the past.

EDIT - yes, HLJ did have it (http://www.hlj.com/product/TYT02234/Sci), for US$26 (plus shipping), but are out of stock.

They have a sample scan of the comic inside the book, showing just how huge Metroplex is (http://d2ev13g7cze5ka.cloudfront.net/tyt/tyt02234_1.jpg) next to some other "giants". (not sure why the original Metrotitan is being drawn as a rather small bot though - I hope there is a translation somewhere soon)

I preordered at HLJ and it came in stock last week and was posted out this week. I assume because people haven't received it (outside of Japan) it hasn't been news yet.

The exclusive toy is a semi-clear version of FOC Starscream (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-news-rumors/947114-transformers-generations-2013-japanese-book-exclusive-infiltrator-starscream.html) (representing his stealth mode) with a bunch of weapons. Because its not really "classics" it seems people don't care too much about it.

Same here but I ordered mine from amiami. I got it for 2625 yen +shipping. I'm hoping it will arrive today or early next week with my GT-R Megatron :D

Same here expecting this and another book from amiami. They generally have the best price around.

Pre-orders for this figure is out on BBTS (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=MPB10010&mode=retail). It seems like it was popular enough to sell out in BBTS' initial pre-order (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/search.aspx?search=infiltrator%20starscream&utm_source=retail_news&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=BigBadToyStore-Retail&utm_content=). The mould was not great nor spectacular, I hope they don't go down the path of spending more resources on producing any further Seekers out of it.

This is the only reason I don't buy it - damn my mono-liguism!

Looked at it on BBTS - $110?!?! No thanks!

That price is with the Clear Starscream figure ... if your after the book only it's US$39.99. I just wanted the book as Ive already got the normal mass retail version of that figure so I see no point to a clear plastic version for such an absurd price.:p

Allspark has some scans for the book up on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.697607116931733.1073741934.166004856758631&type=3)

Took some snaps on pages they don't have that I find interesting.

Apparently this dude (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Yuki_Ohshima) did the concept design for Metroplex (the one looking more organic and having less hard edges)

A better look at MP Prowl's transformation.

MP Sidewipe drawings. With my limited Japanese I could tell Hasui talked a lot about Prowl..

A detailed look at the Datsun brother's head designs. Mr.Hasui's attention to details is simply amazing.

Better looks at the Ninja team. The shark's individual 'bot mode looks horrible..

The designer responsible for the Go! combiners (left). Looks like he was originally working for Tomy and started working on the brand since Prime.

Got my book last night :) as usual it is up to the high standard of the previous editions. Well laid out and just page after page of eye candy :D

A comment on the ninja combiner teams...my first initial thought was it's the "how many transformers can they stack on each other game" :p
Not really that impressed with them. My opinion though...

It sounds as if you weren't foolishly suckered into buying the Go! Samurai combiners :p
