Having this in its own topic, so that it doesn't spoil anyone if other news items are added to the existing BotCon topics.

In recent years we have haven't had too many toys leak, but we have had whole listings of what they were.
It would be exciting if we actually have some remain a mystery this year.

The first one to be claimed as a BotCon toy is a redeco/remould of the TF3 Voyager Skyhammer toy, as Sandstorm (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/conventions-15/botcon-2013-machine-wars-sandstorm-souvenir-figure-177755/).

There's a lot of paintwork on it, but I'm not sure why they went with the bright blue plastic for the rotor (and some other parts). The original MW Sandstorm had translucent blue plastic for the rotors, but if they couldn't do translucent plastic this time, they should have gone for a better matching colour to the rest of the toy.

I like it, it's a great toy and seems to fit the theme pretty well.

MW Prowl using the Classics Mirage mould (used already for BC07)
MW Thundercracker using the Movie Dirge mould (makes sense, as some moulds are used twice in the one year)
MW Starscream using the Movie Terrordive mould (a nice mould that was bound to be used)
MW Sandstorm using the Movie Skyhammer (also a nice mould, that had to be re-used)

The Classics Rainmakers - more of that mould.... does it never end.
The gen1 fan in me is really excited about this 3-pack, but I hope that's the last of this mould.

If this list proves true, and if they are the at-show pairs & 3-pack, at least there are still two unknown figures to be a surprise - attendee figure and Custom Class.

I think one should be Soundwave (would the Perceptor mould work?), and one being Hubcap (they are using the mould for Hoist, so its kind of expected that they need to double up on at least 2 or 3 moulds).

Also, if these are true, the recent comments by Pete@botcon about this set being an addition to Machine Wars, is wrong, as there are only two in the box-set and 3-pack that aren't original MW toy-characters.

Of the 12...

Optimus - not done?
Starscream - Movie Terrordive mould

Sandstorm - Movie Skyhammer mould
Soundwave - ??

Hoist - GEN Kup mould
Hubcap - ??

Mirage - not done?
Prowl - Classics Mirage mould

Megatron - not done?
Megaplex - TFP Dreadwing mould

Skywarp - Movie Dirge mould
Thundercracker - Movie Dirge mould

That would mean 9 of the 12 MW line done if Soundwave and Hoist are the other two... prompting FunPub to probably do the remaining 3 later (the Subscription Service) to finish the set.

Are the attendee figures free?

Oh, and I'm psyched for this mold. I love it personally.

There is normally a single figure that is Free for attendees, and not available otherwise.
all the other figures are normally sold in pairs for the individual characters, and a 3 pack that is a troop builder (the seeker mold this year)

If I recall correctly, the pairs were $80 or so and the 3 pack about $90 when I was there in 2011. on top of convention ticket/Primus pack and maybe getting a T-shirt, hat and print. all your travel costs, it makes for a very expensive weekend. but totally worth it.
